Awesome story, and curse Esmeralda Nah!
Only works before the age limit
Once above the age limit, anyone can name you. They just say "You're X" and the closest unnamed person beyond the limit will get name X
Sounds good, but eventually you'd be going insane distances to get 3 ropes. It would only work a few times in any direction.
Either way, I'll keep this in mind
Yes, I made the oil drill just north of that shrine. I was there during a productivity drop, and I don't know how soon after it collapsed
Weird flex but ok
I guess you could say he was never a hero in the first place
This warms my heart. May Des be safe at home there, watching time go by for generations
Yeees, we need silos.
Also I agree with MathSRIsh on geese eating threshed wheat rather than corn
A more efficient way of pulling in resources to make these. Limestone makes adobe permanent (Unless it's removed), but limestone and clay are limited, and need to be fetched.
Some way of mining finite resources like these would really help cut down the whole pain of spending half a life to fetch the resources in the first place.
Quarries, for example, in badlands I thought would be a good way of pulling up limestone, large split rocks, small stones and flat rocks. How one would go about making one though is tricky
Born in a little runaway pseudo eve camp, and found my way back home from the toll of the apocalypse tower. I thought I was going to be killed. My mother warned me, but I was fine.
I did a little here and there, and found a radio station. I started having a little fun with it. I started singing 'What a wonderful world' through the microphone, even coming up with a persona, Chirp Chapley, whose name I clearly stole from youtube.
After a little while of singing this, a lovely old blonde chap came and said
'You do realise the whole town can hear you'
I laughed, but then realised. This was my dream, I could be a broadcaster!
So I took on the persona of Chirp Chapley the whole life, as well as Mr Dryer for the news show. I had citizens coming and going, giving requests for which record to put in next (There was a LOOOT of country roads, like wow). We had country roads, Never gonna give you up, It's everyday bro and some poetry which consisted of Dr Seuss' "Fox in Socks".
I had many listeners, and I loved it, there were people coming from all directions (Some telling me to stop singing meme songs) and even a druggie who kept INTERRUPTING ME.
Suddenly, I heard a baby crying, and saw it alone in a berry patch. Irrationally, I thought I should report it at the news station.
'This is Mr Dryer here, we've got breaking news. A crying child has been abandoned in a nearby berry patch. If you have lost or neglected a little child, please pick it up immediately. May I remind you, deliberate neglect will result in an arrest, aka stab to the chest'
Here and there I also dropped little 'Please consider donating to the chapel of rohrerianity, and god bless Jasus Christ'. Because of this, I even got people asking me if I was BendI, Pope of Rohrerianity, but I was merely spreading the word.
We had interviews, more song requests, and reported two stabbings. One of which was against my poor son, Andy III. I was handing him the microphone to carry on my broadcasting station. But, the druggie from earlier. He came and stabbed my poor son in front of me.
I died, saying 'The show must go on!'
Hands down, best life I've lived in ages. Even though I got almost nothing done, it was very fun to interact with all those people.

Thank you so much for the compost, it really helped with the milkweed production. I was really hoping someone would notice his behaviour, glad you did at least. I wanted attention, because I was considering making his final 'lesson' a demonstration of murder, and I wanted to have some back up to explain the drama that would ensue.
It appeared I had him in hand, but he was so adamant to stab something that I was so close to taking him into the woods to kill him myself. Obviously that would put him in another town where he could do his thing though.
Funny, that's what I said to him...
I taught Nathan Drake on farming since he was a kid. Someone had just started the compost cycle, so I spent the four minutes telling him my story of nearly getting stabbed by my aunt. It's not the highlight, but here's a summary.
I was born, suspicious dude running around with a bow. We didn't like him, he dropped bow and someone snatched it, my aunt Mari, and shot him. She's in cooldown, another blonde (Forgot who) stabs me out of bloodlust. I'm panicking, trying to teach my mother how to heal with short words while she is just screaming MURDER.
Mari goes off cooldown and saves me. I ask the stabber to be killed, but instead, MY SAVIOUR, pulls out a knife and tried to kill me (Missed poorly) again only ten seconds later (I'm thinking 'Wtf is this another griefer duo!?')
Anyway, I survived. Little Nathan wanted to know how to farm. I showed him the basics, growing berries. He followed relatively well, the occasional mistake of using a bowl on a deep well. He said thanks, but I continued to show him how to make milkweed. Taught him about soil spending and such.
I ask what else he wants to learn, and he says 'Murder'
I heard what he said, but tried to get more context from him. He says 'This town is good. I won't murder good people. Kill bad' and other stuff in sort of cryptic broken sentences. I cut off the topic by telling him murder is bad, you need good judgement before you're allowed to be responsible with a knife. I briefly remind him of my childhood trauma, and he says it was exciting. From a story standpoint it may have been, but it wasn't fiction. I gave him an angry glare, told him murder is a terrible thing, and moved on.
It went back and forth a bit between teaching and telling him off, he was talking about killing bad people only (AFTER saying 'This town is good' 'Will burn other towns'), I talked about judgement. Apparently he already knew how to kill (tbh it wasn't hard for him or anyone, just press escape for instructions) so I taught him one lesson on killing. Don't do it, or donkey town will be your new home.
He says 'Ooooh so thats what that was' and that set off a red flag for me, like he had experienced murder firsthand already.
The rest of the life, I just handed my stuff to other people. He might've tried to take it, stalking me and my inheritors, but being new, he found it hard to do in a sheep pen with mutton everywhere, not knowing how to swap items from the ground. At least he was interested in clothes in the end rather than shanking.
Anyway, I love teaching players, but how can you make a noob understand that killing isn't a main part of the game? I feel like some just see all the shit you can get away with and think 'I want that to be me!'

Does it show you where the sound comes from?
Ah, I should've mentioned. The other two were looong gone by the time the Saabir drama started. I was the only quad member left for, like, 20 or so years. By that point, I think I wouldn't have been a target based on being part of a quad.
Looking back at the family tree, it seems they were definitely just griefers. Unnamed had killed Jessabella and her kid without me even noticing. Pretty morbid to think they died without any witnesses, and their killer got to avoid all consequences
I know right
I'm afraid our quad already made that joke a dozen times though
This is a long story and has a lot to it, but it was the most thrilling yet terrifying moment I've had, I'm still a little hyped up actually.
Was quad with a group of friends from Discord, born into server 1, we were planning to just fuck about and have fun, in a helpful way. There was a bear terrorising the village for ages, and we tried to gather arrows to take it out. Took us AGES to just lure it away, which was the easy option. My brother, Saabir hoe, wanted the knife to settle a grudge with some woman, Jessabella Hoe, who deliberately (allegedly) took an item from below him to get him bit by the bear. The one pad in town was used on him, and now he was out for revenge. They both had zoom out, and were playing cat and mouse for ages. By then, I had gone searching for saplings to make the last arrow, despite the bear being long gone. I would need it later, however.
She told her side, I told Saabir's side. She got chased out multiple times, while Saabir scouted around like a bird of prey. He sees her in the jungle, with a baby, and I decide to follow him to support his side. He gets bit in the snow, and drops his knife behind a tree (Good think too, she wouldn't see it otherwise). She was safe, Saabir was desperate to kill her, but instead I went to get a pie. It was in vain, and he died. Evil woman got to live a full life afterwards.
I was still intent on getting my revenge, but then comes in two new contestants for the knife: Helen Hoe II and Unnamed Hoe
I had the knife in my horse cart to keep it safe, and as soon as I put down my horse to eat, they immediately tried to grab it. Luckily, I was fast enough, and they only got the pie. Anyways, I knew it wasn't safe with Helen after that. Unnamed seemed trustworthy at the time, since I thought he was the one trying to kill the bear earlier. I give him the knife, and he kind of makes a gesture towards me with it. I get back on my horse out of fear.
Fast forward a bit, I forgot what I was doing, but I entered a building with two doors, Helen follows.
She has the knife in her bag.
She proceeds to shut one door, and I try to run out. She shuts the other before I could make it out, and unsheathes her knife. I barge through the door and scream SHITSHITSHIT, my mother catching notice.
'What?' she asks, and I yell at her 'HELEN IS TRYING TO KILL ME!'
I go to show her where she was. At this point, she handed the knife back to Unnamed, presumably to appear innocent. I had only just entered again, still flushed with adrenaline, and Unnamed pulls the knife back out. At this point, it should have been clear to me that Unnamed was just as evil, perhaps communicating with Helen in some way. I move WAY out of his reach, and he drops the knife on the tile I was on after a few seconds of delay, saying 'I only want to give you the knife'.
It's at this point I reveal my arrow I had prepared earlier, pull it back onto a bow and threaten them to stay back. I know this town wants me dead, and I don't even know why. Was it because I was a part of a quad? Did they mistake me for Saabir? Or were they just lunatics?!
I took a few steps back, put the arrow back in my bag, and left with with my horse, and wouldn't return for another 7 years.
I wanted to curse them both, I wish I could. I thought the only solution would be to kill them. And so I began my long journey back home.
I don't know why I made this move, but it was the best move I had made, as it would save my pointless life. I parked my horse in a lone biome, where it couldn't leave, and pretended it had died far away. I went back into town and talked with them, 'admitting' I got the horse killed. They bought it.
It was so sketchy, they were speaking to me like I was a child who just had a nightmare; 'Chill out, don't worry' said Unnamed
'I have the knife, so it's ok', whilst Helen was like a broken record.
'Boy... boy!' picking up the bow next to her and dropping it, like she was looking for the arrow.
Unnamed took a step closer. I backed up. 'Chill I said, just come here'.
I knew I had nowhere to go, and I couldn't take much stress anymore. I said
'Screw this, this is too much for me. I'm logging off'
I then proceed to take off my clothes- Helen dives for the arrow, and Unnamed starts dashing towards me with a knife
'What's too much?' he says.
My heart jumps, I run for my fucking life. There's two crazed lunatics who nearly lured me into their trap and they have all the weapons. I remember my horse, and was *SO* happy I lied about it being bitten! I didn't even think this would happen, only up until now, I didn't know if Unnamed had mal intent.
They see me jump on the horse, I shout 'FUCKERS' with a grin on my red face. They can't chase me now. I just rode far, far away. I couldn't stop, I only got off to pick a few bananas off a tree, but then kept booking it. I was terrified they might've followed me, so I covered my tracks. I might've lost them now, I might be safe. I found a spot to rest for a second, and get my head together. I escaped them, and I was so happy I was alive.
Except now it's over, Unnamed was about the same age as me, so even if I went back years and years later, he'd shoot me dead.
My life would last very shortly after this, not from lack of food or being mauled, but I starved myself knowing this life had nothing left for me.

I died many hundreds of tiles away, passing many undiscovered biomes. I lie at rest with my horse in this lone spot. I said my last words, and took my own life. My trusty companion is now alone, in a small isolated snow mound, waiting to be found. If you find this, you now know my story.

It's me, Athena Exposito. I was your last kid, I didn't quite make it to San Cal. Didn't think I would. I still had ages to go, and no girls (The only other one ran away from me).
I was 1.3k tiles away, pretty damn close from the starting 4.2k, but I was nearing infertility. I was losing hope. But then...
I found a massive pile of mutton surrounding an axe, and was very surprised. I looked around and found an entire city that had food everywhere, bread, pies, berries, carrots, loads of threshed wheat. The sheeps had all died, and there were no baskets or corpses, which goes to show how long this town was lost for. I found a sign that said 'Tai' north of the main road, so that's what I'm calling it now.
It's 1.3k southeast of San Cal, has a bunch of pumps, newcomen forge parts and someone was even working on a car. I was worried we'd lose it all to an unfair chance of not getting any girls. I tried very hard to get some by asking some of my babies to /die to reset my birth counter. I was so unlucky, but in my last minute of fertility, I got Eliza. Before I died, she was raising some girls of her own, so hopefully that means our line continues.
Love you ma, this place is way better than San Cal, and there's water EVERYWHERE!

With the new oil rig, you should surround it in berries or something to make it harder to grief
Ah yes, religion. That is still a thing, but it's died down a bit. The peak for me was witnessing the fight between the Milky Way and the Goose Cult.
Other than that, I saw an Egglord one day in the East town of this city complex (Long before even casino town). Many weeks later, I see him again and get to become an heir.
The best for me was seeing someone try to kill me with a firebow drill
You have inspired me to cause a turkey mass genocide. Thank you
What about not bothering with the sign? Just make an N and leave it in the middle. Would make the job SO much simpler
I tried to do it, and now I can't connect to a server all the way. Have I done something wrong?
I went and edited the sprite image in the files without changing the dimensions
btw Has anyone heard the apocalypse tower sound? Some people said it makes one.
Go into the sound files. I assume it makes the sound #1637. Basically a low pitched bell followed by a higher pitched bell. I don't know if that's the sound it makes in between stages, or if it happens when it's done. I imagine the former, since Jason did mention there were worldwide warnings for the monument.
