Usually, I shit out 8-10 kids on average per life but I only keep a couple of them. As for oddest kids, probably these satan bots that used to be around and also 1 life where literally all my kids suicided instantly. My Male/Female ratio seems to be very boy heavy but it varies for each life.
I've had a fair few lives where I've only produced boys and my town died, sorry guys!.
"I Pencil" was a major inspiration for this game.
See this video which is on the home page for OHOL:

And yes, intertwining complexity at the higher levels is the idea.
Oh I I see so the Pencil is at the top of the tech tree, This is our end goal.
Dead in 4 gen hahaha
cactus god lied to you. Come join the mushroom sidr
The cactus god works in mysterious ways...
Pretty sure that it's intended, Maybe you when you get old you become too deaf to hear it. It doesn't drain any faster than normal but it your hunger bar get's smaller when you get old so I guess it does run out quicker in a way.
I mean getting to 58 59 is still good but if your dead set on making to 60 you just gotta pay extra attention to your food bar. Your basically an infant that speak at that age. Grab food and sit in a perfect temp spot and say your goodbyes.
Imagine locking up all the unwanted babies and raising them to fight each other for there own freedom, and our entertainment of course.
Welp the festers just died out, I was the last one I think. All our fertile women grew old or starved somehow until it was just men. In the end, my brother suggested we have a "war". My brother shoots me my cousin and I stabbed my brother, He told me it wasn't fair. I felt a bit bad but hey, War isn't fair.
Then my other brother ran away like a coward, didn't even try to fight me. I chased him for a bit but I couldn't get him, I gave up. I checked the family tree and saw that he stepped on a snake.
It wasn' anything personal, Our line had died out anyway. I got bored of being alone and suicided.

Wow ! I was that grandma ! I killed that idiot ! I didn’t regret it a second, my only remorse was about making my daughter Julie so sad. Poor girl who thought she had to kill her own mother. For that idiot.
Let me tell you about Jordan Bravos. He was doing literally nothing with his life. He was just... standing there. Useless. I told him he was useless, he said at least he wasn’t using much food, because he was in a good temperature. I couldn’t understand why this guy thought not playing the game was a good way to play the game. Weird, but meh, not my problem.
Then my old sis died. He said exactly « Ha, I was planning on murdering her ». And that was it. This guy was just waiting to be old enough to carry a bow. I grabbed the bow and my decision was made. I had to many lifes where I regretted doing nothing when one of my kids was acting suspicious and then killed my family. I know it was a joke, but to be honest it wasn’t funny at all, and really stupid in a world where people are scared like shit about griefers.
So I killed him. He whined about it like the little brat he was, said I was a stupid bitch. But I couldn’t care less. Our town was idiot free now. I explained to people why I did that, I didn’t really cared if they killed me, I was old enough. But they understood. Except for my daughter. When I said to her I killed Jordan, she started to scream and cry. I told her at least 3 times that I was sorry but he was a griefer, but she acted like she couldn’t hear me.
I thought the crisis had passed but Julie grabbed the bow and killed me without second thought. I wasn’t angry at her. Just sad and hurt that she preferred this little prick over me. I was very soft with her at the end. I said « Oh sweetie. I’m sorry about your son. But he was a grief- « (I think I died before saying that last part)
So no! Not paranoid, just cautious my dear! Sucks that griefers came to our town anyway.
Oh, I see, Fair enough. Sorry for calling you paranoid, I obviously hadn't seen any of that so I had no clue what was happening. I agree It was a good call killing him early if he was acting suspicious and contributing nothing.
Sadly the towns became a hub for griefer scum. In my most recent life there was a dude killing people with a bow but my Aunt took care of him.
The town is still going at least but the family name is dead, Towns a bit of a shithole now. Big cities seem to be inhabited by the worst people....
I've been looking at server logs of this bug, and I don't see anything amiss server-side.
I've also never seen this happen on my end when playing the game.
I'm wondering if some people are just experiencing true network outages, where messages from the server pile up for a while and then suddenly go through. This game is built on socket connections, so dropped message are pretty much impossible, because the stream of data is guaranteed to arrive in order or not arrive at all. But the stream can get backed up if the route breaks temporarily.
Anyway, I still haven't received anything from anyone.
I guess this means that it's not that big of a problem? I don't hear many complaints about it.
That's the weird thing, It was happening a lot more before but after I saw this post it stopped happening to me. I guess the bug wants us all to suffer and not benefit from it in the slightest.
I was just your granchild Emily. We got greifed to shit but the townies promised me that theyd fix it when I died
Aww man, It was going so well before I died. I'm happy that most of my kids and grandkids made it old age at least, Was the griefer Violet because I saw she killed my great granddaughter or was your daughter the one griefing.
You guys must have been doing well before you got griefed.
I've been getting some shit luck recently when it comes to lives. For the past few days, I've been mostly in towns on the verge of collapse or the ones that have been griefed. Also had bad luck with children, mostly produced boys and daughters that don't survive.
Well, I finally got a decent life and managed to have the best kids I've had in weeks. Admittedly my life didn't have the best start, I was Jasmine Bravo in a mid-sized village. My mother was glad that she had finally produced a daughter, she raised me well and gave me a brief tour as well as introducing me to the rest of the family. When I was old enough I helped out with the farm as I always do as a kid.
I set out to collect water but I returned to a gruesome scene, My grandmother had shot my older brother. Apparently, my grandma suspected him of being a griefer, according to my wounded brother he was only joking. Probably not the best thing to joke about lol. Not long afterward my Mother shot my grandmother, presumably to avenge my brother. Grandma expressed regret in her final words, Perhaps she was a hero or maybe she was just being paranoid.
For awhile no children came to me, I tried to contribute as much as I could before the babies came. Someone started building a big stone wall around the town but he didn't finish, perhaps another young man will continue his work. Then my first daughter was born, I went to go show my new daughter my aging mother. I named her Julie, after my mother. I did admittedly let some of my kids die, Didn't want to overpopulate the town. Julie was a new player but she did a good job with the carrot farm. A few years later, my second daughter, Ronald was born. Dunno why I named her Ronald, Just kind of felt like it. She started making pies.
My second daughter was more experienced than my first but they both did there part. They both produced grandchildren, sadly Julie did not name her son. My nameless grandson started helping with the farm. It was nice seeing the two of them working together on the farm.
Ronald was also an exceptional mother, She was teaching her daughter how to make pies.
I lived to 60 and said my goodbyes, Hopefully, that town keeps going. Julie lived to 44 before starving, Her last words were "soil" so she probably died to get more soil for the farm. My Grandson also died by stepping on a snake, poor guy. Ronald lived to 60 and died of old age. My granddaughter hasn't died yet, it's a good sign.
Let's hope they continue the family line, I'll be watching http://lineage.onehouronelife.com/serve … l_id=69768
Looks like Leia killed a few more people and unfortunately her last words "Your civ is dead thoug" was correct. Guess you got griefed in your own game.
Sadly your lineage died out not too long ago, Sylvan Strong wiped us out pretty much. His first murder happened when I was a baby, He killed my aunt Lina. My Aunt was running around with her bow which concerned me slightly, "!!" I cried. She told me she was chill and that she was making sure that "He" didn't fuck up the farm. Anyways Sylvan runs up and stabs her, Tells everyone that she was bad.
He runs around flashing his weapons for a bit and I try to farm peacefully. He didn't help out once, When I was old enough I made a bow and we chased out each other for a bit. Eventually, I got tired of the endless chase and I hid my bow in a tree and he put the knife away, The truce didn't last long. His next murder was my mother.
I grabbed my bow from the tree and looked around, My brother told me that he ran northeast so I looked around there. He snuck into camp and slaughtered my brothers. At this point He was old, I chased with him once again. I could outlast him in hunger so He would have starved if he kept on running. He charged me with the knife but I finally shot him.
Then he congratulated me for killing him and told me that he needed a challenge, Then he told me to take his knife and died.
Oh That's nice, you guys were my ancestors. Sadly I was just a nameless 57th Gen male but it was still a good life even if my mother didn't care about me. Hawk was my Great Great Great Great Great Great Great Great Grandmother.
You'll turn into a pile of bones with all your stuff on it. If you want you could pass on your stuff to someone else before you die or you can let everyone strip your corpse clean like vultures.
So many different sol families.
I spent a fair amount of time in this one city, They had the occasional hiccup and even completely died out at one stage. In the first family line http://lineage.onehouronelife.com/serve … e&id=35731 I spent two lives, One as Orion and another as a nameless ):
I built a little storage shed.
They did okay but eventually, they died out. A few days later I was born in that exact same city, My crap shack was still there. It was exactly the same apart from the walls becoming ancient. There were some wooden paths and an unfinished building next door. By the time I spawned, we had lost our family name but I looked at the family tree discovered that we descended from Eve Sol and I was in the 57th generation. My guess is that the Eve got a Lucky spawn and revitalized the city.

I was yet another unnamed male, In my later years, I thought the city was going to die out again. We had one barely fertile women that had only produced boys so far. But then an Eve appeared in the middle of the town just as our last girl became too old. I was glad that the city would continue even if it wasn't my bloodline, I was amazed at how long this city had survived.
The Eve named her family the "Butts" and started producing new kids. I checked her family tree and she lived until 60 and had grandkids. I hope they survived and kept the city going.
I try not to get too attached to kids, especially if I'm an Eve. The sad truth is that most of the kids end up dying or suiciding, I do everything I can do to keep them alive but even they often inexplicably die. Even in towns most of kids somehow die or become burdens leeching off supplies.
Shame about the family name being lost, all it took was 1 mother not naming her children. I don't think we were ever alive at the same time but I wouldn't blame anyone for not remembering me. Being a male both times I just got on with various tasks without really talking to anyone that much. The most lasting thing I did was probably finishing off that stone building as Blade, Didn't look like it saw much use tho.
Looks like your kid did well, She had two daughters that also lived to old age. I think the loves are still going strong which is good to see.
I lived in that town for 2 lives although it was long before your time, Marcy and Blade were both me if your wondering. Too bad Marcy was murdered only a minute away from dying peacefully of old age.
Tell that to all my kids that keep starving at 10 years old.
I was bored one day and I was in a small village. I was the oldest person there and my younger sisters kept having babies despite my warnings.
We were a desert village and lots of snakes were around. I asked babies if they wanted a tour and they all said yes, None of them realized what I was doing. Eventually, my sisters figured out I was, in fact, killing their babies. They kept the last baby boy away from me and told them not to trust the "old one".
It looked like all the daughters were neglecting the farm so I gave up, If they don't starve they will probably have a population explosion when all these girls get older.
My name was Aaban Fawm I was gen 3, well actually all siblings had that name but I lived the longest. I spent my time being the main farmer and making sure the farm wasn't neglected. In the early days It wasn't hard and carrots were plentiful. I wasn't as Keen about having kids as my sisters but my first boy came while I was out getting water. I ignored him, assuming that he would starve but he managed to find our base and get fed by my sister. I named him Lucky, I reluctantly raised another boy Jeff but he starved at 10. Lucky lived to until he was 32 before starving in a famine.
My sisters insisted on keeping every kid, some lived but most of them were incompetent. I only ever saw them when they came to the farm and ate directly from my seed row, despite the fact that I had carrots in baskets. The only kid I actually liked was my Daughter, I named her after my aging mother, Josie. She was a lot more competent compared to my other kids and she tried to save the farm after I had given up hope. I had stopped aimlessly trying to stop people from eating from the badly needed seed rows and instead stood in a middle temp spot watching as they consumed the last carrots and starved.
Before I died I informed everyone around me that they were fucked before finally dying at 60. I talked to my grandson Spiro outside of the game, According to him My daughter continued trying to save the farm. My daughter died at age 56, not bad. My granddaughter starved at 13 and in the end Spiro accepted his fate and yelled "This is the end" before dying at 43.
For everyone else: I hope it was worth demolishing the last carrots, you got to live for a few more years. If my daughter ever reads this, thanks for trying but I knew the village was doomed to starve no matter how hard you tried.
Can't say I have sorry, It would be a lot easier to remember if you guys had last names.
Hey Baker, I read your signature and had to do a double-take. I just checked out the family tree feature a few minutes ago and Alice (with those memorable last words) was my daughter.
Pretty awesome how this feature is helping to feel more of a connection to the game and other players.
Sweet, I'm always happy when one of my kids makes it to 60. Your daughters legacy will be remembered.
