Was anyone in the goose-cult town earlier today? There was so much crazy shit that happened there.

I was Missy http://lineage.onehouronelife.com/serve … id=2269527 only a few hours before. I wanted to get cows so I could practise making milkpaint, and got some butter out of doing so. It got some attention, so I thought I'd joke about a higher being providing his holy milk through a mortal being, and how I was the prophet that spoke and provided on his behalf. I thought it was funny, some people were actually following this Milky Way cult. That life was pretty normal, and funny, and coming to the end of my life I go north to the corn patch. I see a goose body on a stump running while its head was cut off. I had seen it earlier that life, but this time, there were people praising it. My disciples were trying to preach against it, so I joined in. I recorded my religion down and taunted them saying that mine would last, as it was written down. Then I die with my last holy words.

Fast forward a few generations, I'm born into the middle of whatever the fuck this is

As it turns out, the goose cult had thrived and fallen with different priests and a whole shrine within the few hours I had been away from that town. I was baffled. There was murder EVERYWHERE. It had the longest murder chain I've ever seen in all my time of playing. All because of some heresy over a goose. Also, all signs of the Milky Way had been erased. All the butter was taken far far away, and the note I wrote was lost forever. The only remaining evidence was the bucket of blue paint I made, and a note stating that anything to do with cows is satanism and blasphemy to the goose religion

I don't really know what to say about this really, but it was both hilarious seeing notes demonising the Milky Way and praising this one goose, and shocking to see so much blood everywhere.

Rail cart kit (No spring) + Rope + Rubber tires + Horse = Wagon
Then we just need the whole 'Carrying players' mechanic

The only thing that stops me from /die-ing for being called Hope is if the village is in a good location

Born only a few minutes before a griefer struck. When I grew, I heard screams and wanted to help the victim. Quickly grabbed some food so I wouldn't starve trying to find them. Didn't take long, Howard Radish (The killer) was desperately clawing at a berry on the ground after he realised there was a murder cooldown. I taunted him, he was starving, danced on his body and told everyone to curse him. Ate his berry too, out of spite.

Later, I get my hands on a knife after me and some other lad were forging some various blades (Shears, saws etc). Now I could defend myself. To the east, the wells were being prepared for some upgrades, and I decided to contribute by making cisterns. Went around, got stones, forged plaster and managed to make one (Out of three throughout my whole life).

A few minutes passed and I heard some screaming from the south. Rush to the source, in the sheep pen, Beautiful had stabbed my baby sister. As I arrived, she was trying to shank me too, guess she ALSO wasn't aware of the cooldown (There must've been a lot of first-timers to griefing). It was clear to me at that point she meant it, and it was no mistake. I taunted her too as she couldn't do anything, then stabbed her. Had my first son, Baden. He was fed at least, explained to the citizens it was under control. Baden was named Baden for being bad, telling me to kill one of the citizens right in front of me, like a devil on my shoulder. So he was named bad.

Nothing much happened for the rest of that life, but we did manage to get two more cisterns and the pump done. Good life, thankfully Baden wasn't actually that bad

+ one for rebel's idea. It would really help weed out the weak, or identify which people are noobs and need help. The problem is, how do you distinguish hard work from someone just rapidly picking up and dropping/crafting simple items?

#284 Re: Main Forum » Recycling Stone Hoes » 2018-11-24 20:04:05

Perhaps there are enough stones around, I figured it would help deal with the iron shortage so iron can be used for more vital tools like axes and shovels. As for the rope thing, I entirely agree that should be grown from scratch. Rope shouldn't be salvaged from a broken hoe.

Pluck the stone from a hoe so it can be placed on another tied shaft. This should help combat some of the iron shortage, so people can still till soil when they're running low on steel, at the cost of durability and time to grow the necessities.

#286 Re: Main Forum » Tires on wheelbarrows » 2018-11-23 20:00:18

I mean, a wheelbarrow already has the same advantages as a cart. Lasts 10 and a half hours, has four slots. The only difference is its speed. Seems fair to me.

Save resources on rubber, but get the same advantages as having tires on carts, obviously it would be slower however.

#288 Re: Main Forum » Murderers » 2018-11-22 23:44:28

Murders have been VERY tame recently. It used to be much worse, but cursing has fixed that. As for players not knowing about cursing, spread the word! With strength in numbers, murderers can be punished by spending an hour or two waiting to get out of donkey town

Kevin Youree was born to a village nestled nicely in between the jungles and swamps. It was chugging along, but it really could use some rubbery refinement!

I was young, about 6. I found two buckets filled with latex; evidence there was a knife around, and a person working on rubber. I had to get my hands on it. In the meantime, worked on finishing the rubber tyres. Didn't take too long, perhaps 3 minutes. Some people took notice, including one with a knife. They were surprised and please, I inherited their apron and knife! Success!

Next, spend some time gathering buckets to collect latex. Might take my new cart too, but can't as I'm too young. Go West, North and South- Nothing. Went East, I had a lucky break. A jungle as far as the eye could see riddled with rubber trees. Shame it had as many mosquitoes as it had plant life. Go to cut the first tree, no trouble, placed the bucket. Go back to fetch the other bucket, and went to cut the next tree. I got to slash it, but a swarm got me as I was placing the bucket.

I'm very lucky to be right next to a tundra, perfectly countered my overheating, so I had a backup plan if I was ever bitten. Grab a banana afterwards, bring back latex. Tell the townsfolk about the many gold veins I saw on the way, then leave. Go to the desert North West I found to get sulphur, but it runs out, meaning I have to go searching again after this batch is done (Funny, the next one I found was sat directly in front of a monolith like a symbol of good luck). Cooked the oil, mixed it in with the sulphured latex, but the fire goes out before I could bake the tyres. It was even worse, people kept taking my bowls and buckets, trying to fill them with water and such (Seriously though, COULDN'T YOU TELL THEY WERE FULL???). Make a second cart with rubber tyres, now we're getting somewhere!

Last batch (Very unfortunately) I was undecided on making rubber balls or tyres, I had fun making them in the previous life (Ege (Zoeckler)). I went to get the rubber, sulphur, oil. All went smoothly. But I got greedy, and started chasing the latex before I even finished firing the tyres. I go deep into the jungle rather than sitting on the edge, and get swarmed by mosquitoes just after I finish slashing the rubber tree. Darn! I have to run out of here to get to the tundra, or I'll starve!

Then it happened. I foolishly ran into a second swarm. I ran back into town tearing at my itchy bites before fainting. I never woke up.

#291 Re: Main Forum » how did you learn to play? » 2018-11-13 22:49:44

Began with videos, mostly from Twisted and Paragon. After a while I bought the game, and spent a lot of time learning stuff from onetech. I remember when I first saw that there was a medicine update, I was pumped and started finding out how to make medicine. From there, it was just onetech teaching me, as well as some players.

I made the 3.7k run to Casino town on horse, I didn't get to say much just before leaving. Getting there was one of the exciting things, but I found many cities along the way. One of them was as big as Casino town, and both of them were at 1.8k tiles, North-North West and 1.1k tiles, North-North West. It was in the state you and your brother/Nephew warned me about, riddled with murder. One man did stab me at the end of my life, believing it would make me rest peacefully, but I did manage to achieve my goals before that.
I recorded the positions of the cities relative the Casino town, which are now on a note in the library. If anyone reading this decides to go to the abandoned cities, the home-marker arrow should be sat inbetween the South and South East directions, occasionally changing between those directions. Some of my voyage wasn't going in a constant direction, so I cannot guarantee the cities are *exactly* in that direction, you might have to go searching around a bit.

I also came across a few pleasant graves, surrounded by the stuff of long dead people. I got screenshots of each city and also these graves

I was the scribe who made all those pages and wrote about the 'Vault keepers'.
I found them to be very selfish, I think I must've made about 22 pages in total, and they stole the first 2 baskets I had just so they could write all their Vault Keeper Krap all over it before claiming ownership of every batch I'd make, purely for the fact that they're keepers of the vault, then ran around me with knives and bows presumably to kill you or someone else. Just a pair of lunatics.

Well, it is still directed to you

#298 Re: Main Forum » A HA HAA HAA! » 2018-10-23 19:21:50

But why did you do that? 'Testing' them implies they were volunteering, but you just wanted to watch the world burn before coming on here to show off the destruction of everyone's hard work. Why do people insist on ruining the fun?

I was your last victim. You killed my mother at birth and then me at old age. We were working together to find a griefer who had stabbed all the sheep and possibly stole all the crockery and a hammer. I don't understand how you came to the conclusion that I was the griefer, but I was hurt when I realised your shot wasn't a mistake, and you did intend to kill me. I never took a hammer, I borrowed 3 bowls for stew making and I never even went near the knife. I spent my whole life farming to keep chugging out stew.
Could you please comment on this, I thought we were friends for that lifetime, and I want to know how I was deemed the griefer.

For me, it's unluckiness. I've had about 1 girl for every 5 boys recently and it's ticking me off. When I do have girls (And boys) they run away. I usually play cat and mouse with them, trying to convince them I care about them. If they persist, I leave them.
Because of this, my longest Eve lineage in the last month lasted about 3 generations.
