I'm sorry to hear that. I was having a very rough time when I started playing and it has continued until just recently. If you ever need to talk to anyone (though this sounds cheesy) I will do my best to give advice.
Also good luck to Morti, who I know has been also having a rough time with his/her health. Thanks for the carrot, it was delightful

I started playing in April, I think, 2018. The game was very different and now that I think of it I didn't realize how all the updates were accumulating. I think we (most of us) can agree it's better now.

I'm fairly sure that One Hour One Life was never supposed to be simple. Plus, we already have "dads" who adopt babies and "dads" who are married to the baby-mothers. So the update wouldn't change much except it would make Role Players happy. But, Jason, if you decide not to do dads I'm sure the people who are pushing for it would also be contented with new characters, hint hint nudge nudge.

Pale girl with black hair could be made to look asian, in real life there aren't as many gingers as there are black people, also we need a dark brown skin tone, something between tan and very dark skin.

I think towns have been relatively advanced these days, actually... Plenty of bell towns and a lot of cameras, a few radios too. I remember that it was far less advanced when the hoeing update first came out and we lost our soil monopoly.. and then it was followed by having to put soil on berry bushes, compost wasn't as easy, we lost a lot of monopolies and everyone was annoyed because cities weren't bouncing back at first. City life has improved since then in my opinion, because we got used to it. The people who don't like the new updates might adjust to them too, and of course Jason might have other updates in store that will change the game again.

You can't curse people not in your family. This is especially weak considering the murder rates w/sword have been extremely high.
If you want to make cursing less powerful you should just lower the span of time you have to curse before your curses become obsolete.
