Twice I've tried to punish murderers, once with a bow and once with a knife, both times I've failed.
With the bow, the murderer had a knife and was slowly running away, I happened to have a bow at hand and tried to click him, to no avail, always running towards him, never shooting, can you shoot a moving target in the game?With the knife, the murderer was already "clean", I kept clicking at her with the knife while she moved all over the place, never killing her, until she took a bow and we started running in circles until I was shot, I've never killed anyone before, am I missing something? Are you immune to stabbing while doing certain actions or standing in certain places? Do I need to do something else than just left clicking away? I urgently need to "git gud" at PvP in this game, can't let the griefers be the only ones who know how to fight.
Rule Number 1. Never stop moving If you stop for one second u ded.
Rule Number 2. before u kill him know where there are some berry bushes so you can eat in safety (if he doesnt follow u)
Rule Number 3. Tell more people about the killer if they already know it skip this.
Rule number 4. only attack them with bow if you have a great shot if they are moving you are prob gonna shoot miss. and then u need to pick up the Arrow and then u prob ded because u stood still for one second.
Rule Number 5. Lookout for trees sometimes they hide behind trees.
Rule number 6. dont help someone fighting the griefer most of the time you kill youre teammate by accident.
Rule number 7. Dont just spam clicking on him. You can only spam click on him when he killed someone and is moving slow or if he is standing still. but not when he is moving you prob are gonna lose ur weapon then.
Rule Number 8. U need a little bit of luck. Sometimes u got him in 1 minute and sometimes it takes youre whole life it depends one youre luck.
Rule number 9. remember his name sometimes the griefer will comeback and act normal.
rule number 10. if you dont have a weapon try to chase him when he drops his bow or knife take the Arrow or knife and try to hide it or use the bow urself.
RULE NUMBER 11. dont run in short circles only run in large circles. but its better if you run straight.
Rule number 12. if he is chasing you just keep running and try to make weird curves so he can lose u and then u try to get to a berry bush.
Rule number 13. ALWAYS KEEP UP WITH YOURE HUNGER BAR if you have less then youre half of you hunger bar you need to eat. most of the time the killer only eats when he is low on food so you already ate and then u can kill him easy.
Rule number 14. Always be on guard when you lost him dont drop youre bow and talk to someone then youre an easy targer and he can snipe u.
After all these rules you just have to be Lucky as i said earlier. sometimes u get him in 1 minute sometimes in a whole hour.
It depends on how good the griefer is.
You really Need a therapist. Quickly.
Well i like if the murderer dont destroy farms and dont waste clothes. but still i think if someone is naked you can go for a sneak kill if they are ont the farm the most people wont see the blood on youre bow and just ignore it.
but sometimes they see that you have blood on the bow so it isnt a really smart plan but it can be very usefull to wipe out the village.
The only problem i see is that when i get a girl its an total noob and die instant and when i get a boy its an pro and really helps the city.
when i have a girl she is killing the whole village by giving birth too many kids and when i have a boy he is making tons of carrots.
when i have a girl she is not helping at all and only thinks about herself and the kids. and when i have a boy he will give me the tings i need.
so most of the time i get a girl she is just shit. so i prefer boys even when the city is lost because that boy is cleaning the village for the next generation of people.
a girl will just die eating all the food because she is a dumbass. and die of the age of 60 destroying a whole village.
but that just happens to me alot idk if you guys have that problem. but guys are most of the time better at the game. then the girls who are just eating and popping children everywhere.
and sometimes they all just standing there feeding one kid they just dont want to work.

Yes, I know but what about when you are out riding around and you need to stop for food? Or you see something interesting and need to jump off? Tame/Broke horses do not tend to bolt when their rider gets off them, even if the rider lets go of the reins.
At the very least they shouldn't run when they are hitched to a cart. I lost a horse and cart because I stopped for food and the horse bolted leading me right into a rattlesnake.
It's just really not normal horse behavior. I do admit it is fairly simple to tame them so maybe this behavior is intended to offset that fact but I'd rather have to feed them lots of carrots over time to have a truly tame horse than have to chase it every time I want to ride somewhere and don't have a hitching post handy.

The typical I have a [insert minority] friend, it's okay.Back onto the topic though, it just is a bit annoying that one person can easily kill off a village in a game centered on BUILDING civilization. Having to watch villages get wiped repeatedly is just annoying. Yes it will be repopulated, but enough civilizations die off to general incompetence. I do not need to be worrying about some asshole with an easily crafted bow doing a number on my village. It hampers the experience, and progression of the game.
It doesn't help that the griefer can instantly respawn into another village and to the same thing ad infinitum, while we will always be on the receiving end forever.

Crudely put, if a griefer kills a village and dies; he succeeded in his goal and is playing the game how he wants to. He is having fun.
For the general player farming carrots, making pies, whatever, we are always on the receiving end of this unending cycle and are getting killed/hampered repeatedly for bullshit reasons. We have to be the ones answering for the damages, CONSTANTLY. it's tiring. We are not having fun, and we are becoming jaded.It's hurting the playerbase..
but i dont think there are that many murders tho because i play for a long time. and i didnt really have trouble with murderers most of the time they just dumb af and die of starvation. or i kill them easily. but its pretty rare if i encounter some guy killing a whole village.
the only thing i really hate is that they are removing all the berry bushes thats just plain annoying. but murders nah not much of a problem on my side.
but thats moire of an opinion then really a fact maybe you guys have more killers when you play. but i most of the time just kill the murderer or they die of starvation or they ran off to be never seen again.

The horse ran away. But the horse came back. Jacob thought What another intruder. so he didnt hestitate and killed the guy on the horse. But that day Jacob made his biggest Mistake. It wasnt an intruder It was The god DIE. Jacob stood there and saw how he killed him. He got cursed and now he was a servant of DIES cult. He dropped the knife went on the horse and ran to the horzizon to spread the religion of DIE. His curse was that he never ever could stop running.
Some people still hear Jacob running in the wood screaming That they have to believe in DIE the god.
But thats just a Myth or not or maybe its true but idk.

Why is everyone crying about getting killed. its part of the game deal with it dont cry about it.
i get that sometimes its shit to be killed but getting killed is pretty rare. i am playing this game for a long time and i dont have trouble with griefers. most of the time i just kill them directly when they just killed one guy.
the only problem i see is the griefer that destroys things but i kill him fast too. i just dont see the problem.

i think the game is just fine with killing i dont see any problem. you can kill the griefer just as easy as he can kill you. i almost win every 1v1 againt a griefer-murderer.
just stop crying about it. just get better at pvp it isnt that hard if you see a guy with a bow just run in circle look what he is doing. if you see a blood corpse dont go ask what happend just kill the guy. because you prob know who the guard is if there is any guards.
and just run in some direction where are berry bushes. make a bow and chase the killer. if youre on half hunger you go back to the bushes. but never go below on half hunger. because if you kill him. you cant do anything for some minutes it think and then u can starve to death.
play smart dont stand still dont ask what. and Always hide a bow for youre self.

he was ashamed of himself. he completed the sign that die was making and picked a cart with food put it on the cart of the horse and dropped the knife and ran away with the horse. never to be seen again.

I had a previous live there as luke and i had a crown and i got murdered. and the murderers where still running around.
when i grew up to be 14 the killer almost killed everyone. except me and my sister. i ran with my sis up north where there was a little farm that i knew of i farmed there to save my sister from dying. i ate berries and she got all the carrots because she had to survive. she was new to the game so i tried to teach er somethings. then i scouted our old camp if the murderer was gone and he was gone. so i went back to get my sister. we went south again to our old camp.
i gave her my clothes helped ur with her kids because she didnt really feed them that good. but then when she saw her first child walk and help the farm she was proud. and she thanked me that i helped her suvived she told her kids that i helped her to survive is saved her live.
but then i heard that she died of starvation. i was sad but i had to move on to help her kids. we where short on food so i put all my carrots that i had in my backpack in the baskets for the kids so they survived. then we had an explosion of food so we where good for a long time. then when i got older everyone loved me for being kind and that i helped them survive.
i was happy when i even got hugs from the children. i felt happy in my final moments.
i had my goodbyes and then i died of old age. i was going back to my sister.

I had a life recently where i made 5 knives and there was a guy with a bow trying to attack people i and 2 other guys who had knives where chasing him away 3 minutes later he came back and then he tried to kill a little girl but The main farmer who i gave a knife killed him.
So i think if you make knives for trustworthy people and main farmers prob will work.

A player who you griefed got revenge on you for spoiling their game. You were the crappy player. Deliberately setting out to annoy other players.
if killing another settlement for resources is griefing then is raiding impossible to do. do you think in real life there where no raids.
i dont think that raid was griefing only if we destroyed youre whole town by placing adobe ovens and making trash pits everywhere then it was griefing.
but we took those supplies for our own village so its raiding not griefing. and if you annoy some player by raiding him thats just stupid and too bad for that person because it can happen to everyone.

For the record, I did not "slaughter the town." I killed exactly one person, my mother. I left everyone else alone, on purpose, except Aname who sparred with me for the rest of my life. A one-for-one exchange seems to me to be a reasonable revenge, not an out-of-control griefing spree against a superior village out of jealousy.
As I understand it, there was infighting after my single attack, and this caused the town to wipe out. I don't know how this played out as I had already run off for awhile.
