If i murder my baby as an eve, and the baby makes a /die, the arrow in the baby body just disappears.
So i have to make multiple arrows, not for twins but for rapid births (twins just suicide if one of them gets shot by me).

The simple way to prevent a /die is to distract them with some silly fun chat, but i am not an entertainer eve then, i just want tu murder all my babies sometimes.

yes, it was surprisingly peaceful for the 55 years i lived in it, then it became too tense over time, and i was old anyways to care, and for my last ten years i was shouting "low food, genocide time", without anyone making enough food for all people during those 10 minutes, so yeah, the town has made a poor choice by making swords and knifes instead of food, not me, i escalated the town with a bow.

nope, i did not kill a town, i just determined its future rightful owner, my family.
The ziv had this town for 9 hours after the three fams failed to make enough food and started to murder each other.
so its definitely a win in my interest as ziv.
just after that i was twinning up with someone who claimed to have made 500 cakes in that city, such a silly lie, there where barely 10 pies and 40 people. so if any pies where made, they where made not as common good.

and so the mistrust grew, i wasnt the first to murder, i was the third. and smart enough to wait to old age, knowing my family had more people and weapons than the other two, and do it in a crowd, so all the confusion and greed quickly escalates, and noone bothers to curse, while fighting for their life.
mind you, i whitnessed other family member people plan the same shit, preparing for a war in a peacefully shared sicy, i just was better at it than them. i wasnt the first, i was third.

its easy to NOT murder each other in a town of multiple families en masse after a murder happened. ive seen that happen before. ive made it possible by keeping weapon monopoly AND guarding two families. but hey keep your immature insults, while i herd a foreign family like cows, then they come back with 2 war swords, and i still win the war they start, with only a bow and my mom havign a knife.

right now. newbies and innocent babies of newbies die en masse, on their suicidal run to the ringing bells, or by doing other naive bullshit.
the town is about to make a third bell. its a bit more unique at that, a lovely mess.

right now im often a tripplet, and we just made our moms day, her name was hope, and we boosted a family from 1 to 10 fertiles in 30 minutes.
right now, playing as twin or triplet is great for your memerscore, if you want a high th place and run oit of lifes fast, because noone fucking botthers to have the skills to raise multiples
, when they could just murder all the time.

people make a lto more locks right now, and i regret not killing my own daughter, who admitted to being that corpse, that got killed for stealing cloth.
turned out she killed at least two people in the end, including me, and was a liing cunt. she killed me before i could write a snarky letter, praising my daughter for her murders, so there is that.

always ring bells.
never abandon a bell for a war campaign, just defend and grow/feed instead.
an attacker most likely has lower yum than a defender, so the attacker will always starve while being hunted.

sure, it risks the life of your city to ring a bell at smaller population (hey,  just make your own population bigger then). but just think about the hundreds of greedy newbies, who waste their lifes, and the lifes of their babies, failing to march 500 to 3000 tiles to even reach you. the vast mayority fails, or just rides on a horse, letting at least 4 babies /die.

ringing the bell is cheap mass murder, you dont even have to hunt most of the meople whos death you cause indirectly.
and you almost certainly get free cloth and horses from people who got close, but not quite there (in large enough numbers)

if a bell town lacks food or otherwise is poverpopulated, just scout around uit, you mostl ikely find a fuckton of corpses with great loot, and a lot of food (in camps in rouhgly 200 distance to any bigger town)

hahaha no, i never got stalked for wearing pad cloth, but i got thre stalkers, begging others for knifes to kill me, just for signing letters with "-ollj".

its easy to use hammer on knife and to hide arrows and bows, and to make sure theres no excess knifes, by just bieng the smith that makes anything except knifes,
which you kinda got to do as nurse.

large group warfare may not be the best idea, instead have small teasms of two go on a warpath, when both are soughly 40 years old, or when one of them is a girl and one iis old enough to pull a cart.

a cordon-formation may work better in ohol than wasting much time with waiting and treason.

without full disharmament, 2 fammilies can not coexist. stabbings are just too easy.

so, my mom with white skin, and another eve with black skin, met up in a town, and i was smart enough to
- find a knife and tell my mom where and she took it
- get 2 arrows, 2 bors and a horse
- disarm the city by taking steel and file
- i guard the city and keep any shit in check for 20 years i police a peaceful coexistance, and 2 families blossom in the same city.
so all they do is get one big griefer inciding drama, which we still manage to keep mostly in check.

my horse and steel gets stolen while i kill two bears, and then they come back with two war swords, and the 2 families segregate into two buildings of the same town.
by then its a 6 vs 6 family feud in the same city, i had a bow, they had two swords, the main issue of the city was, it was out of steel and there were no bormaking trees or rope anwhere nearby, so this was all the weapons that existed there.
and of course i live in the end. me and my cousin where the only survivors because they just failed to use the war swords.

next life, my mom enters the city with 2 bells in it, and it has like 4 coexisting families in them.
my mom has the clear plan to "take over the place", so i go full guerillia, i have a big broother who acts boringly neutral, while she befriends everyone.
you can guess how hostile and paranoid they get after i kill 8 people with war swordsthere. this shit did not get easier over time, as they learned to spot and hunt me more and more, and ll my babies failed me, while i was just too outnumbered.
i guess my mothers plan somewhat worked for her, but the other families kept outbreeding us anyways.
im okay with being villified there. was fun being chased and hated by 8 foreigners on the same screen.

i got to love those drunk city planners, on farms, pens, roads and buildings.
make roads instead off berry farms. wild berries are far superior.

i rarely bother berry farming, unless you really need a short term food buffer anytime soon.
i prefer eggs and corn.
most recent long term sucessful cities seem to have either excess corn or exsess rabbits, and no amount of berries stopped their demise.

theres a wide variety of bug cases, pups with infinte wetnees that never need fuel have existed.
the game uses a lot of pink noise, with "20% chance to continue for free, 80% chance to halt, each time", which has an infinitessimal small chance to run forever for free.
the problem with pink noise is, that it can be semi-infinite loops, that may tend to gridlock/jam/stackheap, and any simple rng can have its issues of predictability or being in a dead null-state, and jason keeps things simple, for being alone, anbd for his fast custom network/database protocol.

i can noow raise many children, die of old age, and make like 6 snarky/silly notes signed "-ollj" in a town, and what does it get me at age 58, retarded stalkers and insults, people begging others for knifes to kill me, and i laught at them, im old by then, so let them waste their time.

but this was in an adorable town full of [tree] newbies, that mostly cared for each oother, everyone treated everyone else like a newbie, mostlay for the better.
and that fact sure helped me to keep the number of knifes in the town small, and the number of girls much higher than the number of women, while letting all the knife-related things be done by the obviously more experienced players in this dorable town.
sure, it had the slave driving maniacs, that could not resist building a house inside of property fenches, which always ends up in theft and murder, but i delayed that, by completely locking in the property fenche, so it the fenche had to decay till i was too old to bother.

peace works when you are really good at:
- spending the first 5 years hiding their arrows, bows, knifes and file. you must disharm both parties for a peaceful chance. you likely get reborn there, and can unhide the things. hiding foreigners items is easy on a horse.
- evading anyone with a weapon (this counters the above a bit), just ride away from them. they chose how much time they waste chasing you instead of protecting the campfire, youre on a horse, so much faster, can easily flank them while the archer is too far. dont just engage a fight against a family of 20 on your own, thats a waste of everyones time. a family of 10, a single person has a chance to kill everyone, itf thats what you want to spend 20 minutes of guerilli warfare with.
- using hammers on knifes to make shears out of them. having a bow or knife or sword as foreigner sure doesnt look peaceful. all the weapons you ever had are to be hidden.
- wasting their time and saving you some time by freeing all their horses (without being seen much doing that). no big harm done, it increases your survival chances (easier to escape by horse while not being chased by horse), and its a non-hostile greeting, just like the whole "disharming by hiding weapons" thing.
- making paper somewhere in the outskirts. this is often not simple to do, gathering its tools, fire, and its takes time, but its possible within 20 minuites.
- meetings of two eves bot around age 30 haopen (rare, but fun)
- gifting a town that is 90% farmers without weapons a bell https://onehouronelife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=7211 an d then just be a hunter gatherer to foreigners, instead of scaring them with your presence, or appealing to their greed with your stuff.

a clear peace gesture is just gifting your shoes to foreigners, you wont need them while you are mostly on horses. but you will need your other clothing items still age 55.
the clearest gesture of peace is when a mother carries their baby to you, away from the campfire, so it can listen to whatever you want to say. this is a risky move by a mother.

i was declared "prince" of the blue family, and named something like "knight blue" to chose a wive and get a crown, i could not care less. and oddly enough i can no longer find myself in any family tree.
i quickly reached a point where i could not care less if my family lives or dies, but also in a mood to not even bother luring bears, cause this fam likely kills itself within 5 more gens from what i saw happen in it, and well, that just happened in my absence.

I cursed [rainbow blue] for her theft, was most likely the only one there, and noticed a rare oddity for a fun opportunity.

My oportunity was that this dumb town build a bell with rope, but the bell tower was not even at the snallest unstable height, looked like a bell tower saboteur was having a lot of fun.

I took the bell from this town of thiefs and saboteurs, and rode with a horse to the southwestwest.
i hoped to find something great, where my bell could be of a lot of use, but only found something mediocre, a high populaztion foreign family, that for some reason loved to farm a lot, but not collect much iron and not make any arrows (locale had no imidient need for arrows)
The archer family, [sunny archer], got a bell+rope from a foreigner on a horse, in a town, whos biggest achievement was 2 axes and like 3 steel hoes, and way too many stone hoes.

i kept sopending 40ish years hunting turkeys, bears and goose around town, because they sure had null weapons to do it.
to their babies i kept saying "i am ollj, i come trom that direction and that distance", "whazaaaaaap" and "my hovercraft is full of eels"
i was not too chatty, and too busy hunting food for a foreign town. last 2 years spend with them peacefully, greeted a lot by their children.

both families are gone now.
i hid the horse and my arrows a bit northwest, i guess someone found it and began to murder people, as far as the family history shows.

when it comes to city simulations (as games), there are 3 books that heavily inspired [sim city] in its design, which are very on topic here and worth looking into for general city (simulation) planning. they are on how cities are most likely planned better, how cities spreead out and interact by what its population needs, which is then translated into abstract models, that look a lot like fluid-simulations and distance fields on www.shadertoy.com.

well, i was eve oh of that revived ruin, found it as eve within 3 minutes of walking north, having ten fertiles for 8 of its 10 generations, so theres that.
was a fun short lived boom town.

town had minor bear issues, that i mostly took care off with bear hunting. bear caves where not close by, but that never stopped anyone.
i can only babysit a suicidal family for so long.

i hoped that a backup colony could work out eventually, but my company was just clueless about how to do that properly.
That explorer south who wanted me to join him turned out to be a total suicidal newbie that i should have killed instead of joining him.
beople with a stash full of items are never the pro players they believe/claim to be, they are almost always negative expected value, suicidal or thiefs or both.
abandoning a perfectly fine city for their own egocentric trip, most likely doomed to fail, and a waste of time to recoup.

they are not building roads, they are not building fenches for horses, they do not connect cities, they just waste a backpack and a cart fuill of rare (non dupe excess) items that the town needs much more.

bad moms and good moms somewhat oscillate between generations, which also depends on the times when cakes or berries run out.
you can very easily tell them by comparing number of girls with number of women.

if, more girls than women, moms are likely good, else, moms are likely bad.
sure, theres other factors, starvation, and all the other causes of death before adulthood, which is mostly stupidity, greedy murder thiefs, or warfare.

as rather good mom, i rarely have problems to push the number of girls higher than the number of women.
but i wather just /die, than living a life in a city with 2 girls and 6 women.
whenever theres a lot less girls than women, theres likely some stupid happening in most of the family, that drastically shotrtens life expectancy near the city center.
and i am rarely in the mood of having any of that.

this was inspired by someone elses note, that just read "beware, do not enter" at the city gate in the most likely direction of most recent eve spawns (southeast back then)
and i though, no, this needs a silly reason and a signature to make more sense.
my mom at the time insisted in me actiung like a city guard, but there just was no non family member nearby, and the notes happened.

i made like 7 notes of these in 2 towns, and i signed many notes in many towns like this.
they get obsolete and lose context rather quickly, thats just the name of the game. long term they do cause spam and clutter.
initial plan was to spread 4 similar warning-notes in 4 fort entrances, but the property fenches are long gone, and the city now has 4x as many notes as it had when wrote these guard warnings, as more people come with notes or plunder notes from nearby ruins.

the city changed its family and i am in maximal one place at once.
