I am not sure if it survived today. I spawned into it maybe three days ago?

#27 Re: Main Forum » Is it a glitch in my computer or is it the radio update? » 2019-01-28 07:35:55

Just go to the Lenovo website and look up your computer model and it should list all the drivers and updates if available. I think they have a program that will check all your drivers to see if they need to be updated if you install it.

One of my favorite things is seeing how new civs develop or interesting buildings. Post them here please! Thanks!

Whoever build the church in New San Cal did a great job! It's gorgeous.

Thought the yellow paint would be brighter. It looks like I just reverted the columns back to adobe.

I was in this town (New San Cal). I think the biggest issue is not being to remove newcomen foundation blocks. If Jason could fix that then this wouldn't be as bad.

#32 Re: Main Forum » Buildings (obsolete techtree branches) » 2019-01-25 05:26:05

I thought it was weird that you had to build wooden floors in order to get the heat advantage. It takes forever to make plaster walls so making a building isn't really worth it. It's easier to make clothes.

#33 Re: Main Forum » Bad Lag in Big Civs? » 2019-01-24 02:43:13

FPS slows down to 25fps from 60-50fps when I am in a big civ and I am usually doing the weird rubber dance where I go back and forth. Also, see rubber banding and teleporting of other characters. My internet speed during the lag is 82.4 mbps download/ 40.8 mbps upload latency is 12ms. I switched over to another game Dead by Daylight and didn't have any lag issues. I was on server 1 with 158 players on the server and the lag went away when I went to an area away from the civ.

Other players were remarking on the lag and the area had a lot of deaths since it was in a berry patch.

San Cal 2 is doing great! Just spawned into it awhile ago. Someone made a new rig so I tried to grief proof it by planting potatoes and fixed the berry farm. Also, made three hoes, cleaned the sheep pen and made compost like fifty times.

Spawned into San Cal today. Town is sort of trashed. Someone grieved the oil rig so the town had no water. Collected ore and tasked my son with creating a new oil rig before I died.

If it is happening outside of the game, then it's a laptop issue and not a game issue. I had a Lenovo laptop and it had this issue but was flashing green. I had to get the ribbon(?) to the graphics display replaced. Might want to see if there is a graphics driver update and maybe install drivers again to see if that will fix it first though.

How do you get killed by a marked grave and chisel? lol

#39 Re: Main Forum » New Players Bad for Villages? » 2019-01-18 18:17:34

Yeesh- stop calling each other names. Crumpaloo probably just ran into a bad streak of noobs and griefers. We have all been there or we will be there eventually. Crumpaloo, it might help to find a group or just one buddy to play with on a low pop or the practice server. You can usually play two types of games-one with the randoms/noobs on high population servers where you are pretty much doing the same thing over and over or one where it's just you and a buddy on the practice server building the perfect camp. I usually switch between the two types of gameplay depending on my mood.

I'm sorry sad. There might be a chance it's still alive. Server 2 is always the busiest server and there is an off chance that someone else spawned  and survived to old age.

#42 Re: Main Forum » San-Cal challenge (AKA RIP San-Cal) » 2019-01-18 00:21:11

What was your name the last time you spawned there?

#45 Re: Main Forum » New Players Bad for Villages? » 2019-01-17 01:27:42

Everyone has been a new player at one point. There are bad new players as well as good new players that learn and contribute just as there are bad pro players that grief and good pro players.

Doesn't help the game if we drive off all the new players since the average amount of people playing hovers around 100-250 at the most.

#46 Re: Main Forum » Any suggestions for onetech? » 2019-01-15 19:37:35

It would be a timesaver to have a materials list for advance items. I always comb through and make the list myself when I'm looking at the website. It's no biggie though. Thank you for the website. It's a godsend.

I was born Lela Woodland -3rd generation to my mother and helped make the sheep pen with my daughters. My mother Daisy was 2nd gen but she founded the civ site and worked hard to get us the first iron tools. I buried her next to the sheep pen in an engraved grave as I promised her and told her she was the true founder. I had three beautiful daughters named Angelique, Bebe and Trinity who worked hard to set up the farm and gather sheep and more iron. I died soon after and someone-I forgot who-promised to bury me next to my mother in a marked grave.

I left to run some errands for a few hours and came back and logged back into the game. I was born again into the Woodland family, this time as 11th generation and was christened Ana. The civ had grown so much and was thriving but still needed the newcomen engines/pump and oil. In this lifetime, I decided to make plenty of wool pads and needle/thread and trained all my kids to learn to heal. This came in handy because a griefer was born and stabbed two people. I had I think 4 daughters this time-Jan and Jen (twins), Bebe and Lilly (died to bear early). I also raised my sister Lolita who was abandoned by my mother-a new player that decided to ride on the horse cart the rest of her life and some other nieces and nephews that were abandoned. My last actions in this life were engraving my grave, placing flowers on my mother and my past life grave and planting a mango tree above our graves.

This was one of my favorite lives. smile

#48 Re: Main Forum » Why have 5 servers active on off-peak hours? » 2019-01-14 16:03:04

Some people prefer to do solo play on the less busy servers. If you don't want to be eve than play on a busy server by choosing server 1-2-3-4 in the settings. I have no trouble being a baby when I do this. Seriously, you people complain too much. It's one guy updating the game not a team and the game is great.

#49 Re: Main Forum » s13 marathon and hardened row pen » 2019-01-13 16:52:28

I'm the eve from the other camp. I was the one that domesticated the sheep and wrote the older notes. I know the other player that established the camp that you were at so I went to the camp and plastered your adobe so that it wouldn't crumble. The camp looks great!

#50 Re: Main Forum » Philosophy on finite resources » 2019-01-13 03:30:33

Honestly, once you have a horse cart, there is no such thing as finite resources other than water but even with several buckets you can overcome that with the horse cart.

The biggest issue with going up the tech tree to the oil and kerosene wells is that not many people know about it so if you get birthed into a high tech civ that has been revitalized by a new eve spawning there, you usually have a bunch of new people standing around or running around wondering how to power the kerosene well or how to make kerosene.

Honestly most of the players I've played with do not learn to move up the tech tree beyond making iron tools and a sheep pen. You would be lucky to find someone that knows how to make a horse cart honestly.
