2HOL is another server that requires a modded client and has alot more rules
mine is simpler, no modded client, no discord though, has a forum
i made some pull requests to implement some of the changes i listed above
tamed horses won't run off, instead they slowly follow you, also you don't die if they step on wild animals like snakes

baskets despawn before adobe walls and i don't think stone walls despawn at all

you have alot more time and freedom to expore differen't building stuff, but it might not be as fun as the trial by fire fast based risky social learning of a live server

put a eastwest wood door next to an eastwest and then open it, and it appears behind the wall
I am admittedly new to horses but ive already seen alot of glaring issues with them
* you die to snakes? horse should stomp the snake to death, or at least you should be fine, snake shouldn't kill a player on horses back, i assume wolves and stuff can probably also kill you, feel like you should be immune at the least to these things, maybe not bears
* they constantly run off way too fast, its already been tamed, has a lasso on it, but i can't tie it to trees or mines or anything other than a fence? seems like they ought to just sit mostly still and maybe occasionally wander slowly, not sprint off like its afraid of me soon as i get off. maybe it should even follow you
* you can't put a fence kit in a cart, or horse cart. this makes the above problem worse because you can't even carry an anchor for it. you can put a stanchion kit in a cart, why not a fence kit which should be smaller
* would be convenient to be able to detach the cart from the horse again, especially since it wanders off and im trying to work with the cart. wouldn't matter so much if horse didn't sprint off immediately
not sure if these are known issues, hope they might be addressed at some point
philosophically, logically, murderers aren't being murdered, they are being killed
murder is the act of aggression, an initiation (or escalation) of violent force to take the life of another
killing a murderer to prevent further death protects life, is not an act of initiatory violence, and is not murder
i know comic books and idiotic hero movies and TV can't seem to grasp that hilariously simple distinction but it is important to recognize and label properly

i removed decay and made milkweeds regrow again from fruit debris, also some other changes to let you keep using your own camp
ya it was that.. i just deleted cache in the transitions and it works now. mostly.. one of the objects mysteriously escaped transitioning but the rest worked
im trying to test transition changes and its not working for me
i used the editor, and set several transitions that edited the transitions files in ways that look correct, some changes were as simple as changing cooldowns which definately look accurate in the new transition files
but when i test them in game no changes occur..
none of them are working, its as if they files aren't being loaded, i checked the path to transitions in my server folder and it matches the new transitions directory
do i have to rebuild some sort of transitions cache or something?
i think stoning should just disarm slow murderers, then you get the knife to kill them
this way slow murderers have a risk. but it doesn't introduce a new way to kill everyone else
also you can get the knife away, determine if the killing was actually justified or not, and possibly not kill them too
you do have to have at least SOMETHING in the login/key fields
server is gaining a handful more people lately

Quick context.. i spawned into a town littered with dead bodies and apparently everyone died
i managed to pop out a zillion kids and get life started again in the town.. only to ofcourse see my own daughter grab a knife and murder the entire town again...
Its way to easy for 1 asshole to murder the entire town, here are some ideas to deter them
1. When they stab a player, the knife stays behind in their victim
2. make it so you can throw stones at bloody murderers to disarm their weapon (or at least bash them, with stones or large shafts), also don't allow them to repick it up while slow moving
3. make it so you can just manually disarm them without any tools even maybe
basically i don't think they should be able to go on a murderous rampage where everyone else is powerless to stop them without hard to get tools
its having a bad impact on the whole community, hurting peoples trust, hurting peoples enjoyment of the game..
She had already raised me for a couple minutes and could probably nearly do my own thing
it was a nice town with plenty of resources
then suddenly she says 'you don't talk much do you', 'omg your a griefer aren't you!'
then she abandoned me to die..
wtf...
you can only type in 2 letters as a baby..
ive never griefed at all..
ive also recently had people threaten to kill me for picking milkweed out of fruiting yesterday..
btw the server is working great
was a few kinks with 10 year old babies but i fixed that

* You age at half speed so you live 2 hours instead of 1
* Double food bonus
* Hunger at half the speed
* No Decay for backpacks, clothes, carts, and baskets
* Eves can respawn in their own camp regardless of how old they are when they die
* Fruiting milkweed regrows again, and faster than old vanilla
* All water sources replenish after a minute

not really any rules, but the same basic best practices apply as in normal game
