also usefull if you want to play on a specific server, you can copy the adress from there.
the small ones are bugs if i remember well, thay are supposed to be in the tutorial to give you advice.
the big ones are an old item that was used to trigger an apocalypse and wipe everything on the server.
but that has been disabled so now only the monilith remains, you still can do the steps (fill it with three gold ingots and attach a crowned horse to it) but it won't work.
Some have been using them for role play purpose as some kind of shrine to make an altor for whatever god they chose to worship.
hello my beautifull children.
It is so nice to see one's own lineage survive ![]()
it was one heck of a run, trying to resurect compost, while looking far away for wheat to make new baskets and bring back seeds, hoping it wasn't too far away and that the seeds wouldn't despawn.
started carrot and wheat farm, got a bit of compost And of course the shovel broke immediately. And all that while trying to raise children.
Fortunately there were some steel lying around, so made two shovels and an axe.
Spent the end of my life baking pies.
If you end up in that family again, if famine strikes again, theres a bit of a cactus farm on the north east of the city.
im tired of feeding ignorant people who don't want to do their part
That is really harsh... plus you're contradicting yourself... If ppl are ignorant, they don't know any better so they really cannot do their part. It is up to us to actively teach as many as possible.
Especially considering that roughly 4/5th or the players right now are mostly new players that have absolutely no clue on what to do.
Also big berry farm creates a whol new generations of players that don't know any othr food, and primarily rely on berries for food...
We barely just now finally educated enough players to get out of that mentality that the new berry mechanics had first created a few month back and I fear it's coming back now with that massive influx of new players that don't know anything else because berries are the fasted, easiest for them to pick up.
we should really prepare and get a lot of corn to make popcorn instead.
As a rule of thumbs, if you're envisaging expanding the berry farm, look at it first... if there are empty and yellow bushes, no need to expand, use the soil to tend for those instead, they will replenish the berries faster than planting a new one since you also need to add the growing time of the bush first.
it is also good to spread food around the berry field like cut bread and pots of stew, it will show new players alternative foods.
Don't cut the bread directly at the bakery as it will block the workspace around untill the bread is eaten.
don't put all the pots of stew in one place, rather spread them around in pairs.
Vexenie wrote:Other plants, like corn, potatoes, carrots or other could have a 5-15% chance to still grow the wild plant or reverse, but domesticated plants have a 0% chance to turn to wild plant
I really like this idea, it would slow eves down a bit but plant domestication would be so much more interesting if it weren't instant. And we could even plant and store wild carrots for that sweet yum bonus without having to go look for them.
but the whole point of wild plant is that it is found in the wild... as soon as you actively seeked the seeds and planted them yourself, even though it's the same plant, it isn't wild anymore.
I think it's just to see the distiction, because on use there's no difference between a wild carrot and a domesticated one.
To me a griefer is someone that plays with the unique intention to systematically or occasionally destroy/kill the villages they are born into. And I must say that since the donkey town implementation, I really haven't seen those types of players anymore wich i'm really glad of.
So I'm not a griefer, but I have been called one and cursed/killed for :
- killing all the sheared sheep
- destroying a kiln that was in the way (even though I had build a new first)
- taking a knife that was considered an heirloom
- taking down an old unpractical pen after building a new better one
- digging up superfluous berry bushes
- and more other little stuff, but don't remember them all ![]()
I also know that some players consider those that are roleplaying and those not contributing but building presonal projects as greifers.
great job !
I was toying with the idea to do some updates on it this weekend, but I see you were ahead of me ![]()
it's always a good idea to keep female afk alive, it still allows for kids to be born... and it makes a nice bit of RP ![]()

Ah yes just let me cut my bread WITH THIS FUCKING ROCK I FOUND ON THE GROUND
TBH if you're able to cut wheat and reeds, harvest veggies AND SKIN THE F*ING HIDE OF A BEAR, surely we can make a few score marks on soft bread dough with it ![]()
yes it is well known, if you die on drugs, the effects will last forever, untill you close the game. ![]()
tongs + tongs = rack kit
rack kit + straight shaft = tanning rack
cow hide + tanning rack = tanning rack with cow hide
tanning rack with cow hide + rope = strung cow hide on tanning rack
strung cow hide on tanning rack + 60 seconds = strung cow leather on tanning rack
hand + strung cow leather on tanning rack = leather + tanning rackThat, or, you could use the frame and maybe a pair of tongs to prop it up to make tanning rack, and go from there.
Could also boil the hide in water before stretching it, but may want to add crock with simmering water for soups and other recipes to dip the leather in with tongs.
well the hide has to be scratched thouroughly first to remove any hair and flesh particles, i think the adze could be used for that.
Also if I remember correctly, urine was used for the tanning process, since now we have urine pigment, it's in the realm of possibility to collect urine (maybe give water to a cow twice in a row without collecting milk first) and we could have a wooden (or copper, i'd love the introduction of copper in the game) tub.
(i guess we could use a crockpot, but the idea seems a bit disgusting)
Edit : well bark was also used, so we could have the introduction of Oaks and Firs if it's easier than urine.
Skins typically arrived at the tannery dried stiff and dirty with soil and gore. First, the ancient tanners would soak the skins in water to clean and soften them. Then they would pound and scour the skin to remove any remaining flesh and fat. Next, the tanner needed to remove the hair from the skin. This was done by either soaking the skin in urine, painting it with an alkaline lime mixture, or simply allowing the skin to putrefy for several months then dipping it in a salt solution. After the hairs were loosened, the tanners scraped them off with a knife. Once the hair was removed, the tanners would "bate" (soften) the material by pounding dung into the skin, or soaking the skin in a solution of animal brains. Bating was a fermentative process which relied on enzymes produced by bacteria found in the dung. Among the kinds of dung commonly used were those of dogs or pigeons. Sometimes, the dung was mixed with water in a large vat, and the prepared skins were kneaded in the dung water until they became supple from bacterial enzyme action, but not too soft. The ancient tanner might use his bare feet to knead the skins in the dung water, and the kneading could last two or three hours. This combination of urine, animal feces, and decaying flesh made ancient tanneries malodorous. Children employed as dung gatherers were a common sight in ancient cities. Also common were "piss-pots" located on street corners, where human urine could be collected for use in tanneries or by washerwomen.
I ran too far, I can't hear you. ![]()
I never understood that "don't pick the last berry" thing.
Was there ever a time where domestic berry wouldn't regrow if empty ? because when I started to play, they still needed 60 min to regrow, and you actually had to make sure to empty them as quick as possible if one berry was picked, because if one berry was missing, you couldn't fill the bowl anymore so you wanted to empty partial bushes as quick as possible because the cycle wouldn't restart unless empty.
FIGHT ME! THEY DIDNT WEAR THOSE!!! FIGHT ME!!!!!!
why do you think i ran away ? ![]()
lol it reminds me that i got once curse because i killed all the sheep but one. they were all sheared anyway, no neet to keep them alive.
the horned helmet ! don't forget the horned helmet !
*runs away* ![]()
i don't know about you guys, but tonight the lag is really bad
got a problem connecting to server at first then died at 5 due to really bad bumping lag, and apparently we were all lagging in that settlement.
yep that was also my fear.
I remember when mines were introduced, the ground ore spawn rate was already dropped wich made sense, since before the mines, iron was littering everywhere on badlands.
But it sometimes made weird situations where you found a huge badland biome with only two pieces of iron on the ground and another tiny biome (small enough to fit entirely on the screen) with 4 pieces and two mines, but all in all, it made us explore and search more for the initial 3 pieces needed for the basic tools, and a fourth for the first hoe, giving us a bit more camp stability to explore further for the next 5 pieces needed to start mining.
Now I haven't played many eve camps since the nerf, only got a couple of lives, where it did feel to me we had to search more for our initial iron, but I had several previous lives before the nerf where iron was just as scarce and we really had to look far.
So we need more input from many lives of many players to estimate if indeed the overall look for iron has become indeed harder, because a couple of anecdotes where iron was hard to find isn't enough to judge, could have been cases of bad spawn luck.
So yesterday I was helping a new player on twitch.
He had already completed the tutorial and was playing the game when i told him a good way to learn was to play the extra stage after the torch.
After learning the three basic tools, he went on to start a fire from scratch.
Now when I help new players, instead of telling them flat out what to do, I try to guide them into figuring out stuff by themselve, in this case to try to follow what the hintbox was saying.
So he arrived at the stage of using the leaf to pick up the ember, but then his hintbox just showed "no information" instead of the next step of ember leaf + tinder, so he got stuck.
you can see it on his video around the 2:29:48 mark and the 2:29:58 mark.
https://www.twitch.tv/videos/330696141
Now I tried to reproduce it both ingame and in tutorial, but both times hintbox worked properly.
Anybody ran into similar problem ?
Should this player send anything or do anything to try to figure out where that problem came from ?
you still didn't answer the issue of the fact that it was supposed to be affro eve ![]()
didn't get any updates after that, and i checked server status and all were on, plus other women had babies... just not me
just was a Robling, dunno if same fam though
