lol jokes aside, itll be the same as before, just on a bigger scale. maybe more players will give smaller civs a chance to live beyond 10~15 generations
I've been thinking about this for a while now, and I really think you should consider keeping blushing wolf hats. Now, I understand that you don't want the titties to blush and I can come to a compromise with that, but if we can wear cacti on our boots don't you think that blushing wolf hats should be kept too?

this is devastating. i hope i get hit by a truck. life is meaningless
these r all suggestions that we see from a lot of new players. the learning curve has been discussed over n over again n even with the tutorial ppl still struggle with the basics. i think its gotten a lot better recently (tho i did stop playing for a while in the player boom cos like...... im sick of that Shit) the wiki is honestly kinda useless tbh i dont think it has enough info to make things easier. ive gathered a bunch of guides (in my signature) tho but its a LOT of info. tbh i think the games in a better place than it was like 3 weeks ago. ive been having a lot of fun again n ppl have enough time to chill out n chat while working.
what im tryna say is that a lot of the things ur talking abt get easier as u learn to play. gl tho! ![]()
if u blush while in an apron or a sealskin coat ur titties blush too. works for boys as well ![]()
Jason already knows about this problems (thanks Kailied) and states its hard to fix for him. The problem lies with engine (again...). Theoretically single map tile can hold single item and its decay timer. When you stack baskets - they technically become a single item with number of uses - this means they would all share the decay timer parameter. Which one should be used? Longest? Shortest? Averaged out?
that's pretty good for us then since making baskets as a new eve is always a big pain in the ass... i guess we can call this a bugff for now lol
uhhh gotta fix murder. aprons need more pockets. want more dirt. fuck griefers
ok i hope he stopped reading. hey guys i was born to as an eve in a dead city n the stacked baskets werent decayed while everything else was... is this normal? have yall seen this?
honestly i generally dont kill unless theres a murderer around n nobody else is tryna kill them. or if im dueling someone
but last life i killed by own kids cos my daughter wouldnt stop feeding the twins. it was a big town with lots of stuff but i dont trust twins and i said that a million times and i told her not to feed them! all she had to do was leave em alone for a minute n they coulda respawned n had a chill life somewhere else! but she kept feeding em so i stabbed one n then she fucking wasted resources to heal him so i stabbed the girl n one of the boys died at two but the other one lived to three so i stabbed him too. im genuinely glad that line just died out tbh i cant stand when kids dont fucking listen. it was the first time id played in a while too so i was just extra mad. was planning to just die in the wilds after that cos i was pissed but stuck around to make backpacks for my only good child and her kids

thats ur line. glad u got to live a dramatic life!
i love your egg son
i was born into the dover family and my grandmother asked me and a sister or cousin to name all our kids ben.... ben dover.... i hope i made you proud gamma
im gonna use overwatch as an example cos its the one im most familiar with. blizzard has rules against throwing and other forms of griefing b/c they know that the vast majority of players came to the game to have what it promised to deliver - a decent fps game with fun designs. while there are fun instances of players who join up with the other team to crouch spam and do emotes and voice lines there are also players who want to seriously play the game and have the experience they paid for
this distinction between serious and casual players are solved a little bit by making different gamemodes. there is competitive and there is quick play. quick play is more acceptable to dick around in while competitive has serious bans or punishments (xp decreases). they also have a report system that gives a bit of control back into the players hands
i think what u should consider (if u dont wanna go through with banning) is putting through the idea of split servers for "serious" players and casual (and asshole) players. in the serious server you should be able to be banned from that specific server if you get black texted twice (personally id ban em at black texting once but yanno). but in the casual server it should be free reign as it is right now
also i understand you hesitation to ban people, but remember that the players who are victims of griefing also paid 20$ to play a game that doesnt reward them consistently. at least with overwatch i know that the more i play the more cool shit ill get and if i get better at the game ill have people who say "gg" or "thanks!" but in this game that kind of positive reinforcement is rare. it makes playing exhausting
edit: also with university starting back up again i can see myself not picking this game up again. i genuinely love this idea jason i love the aesthetic of this game and when i have fun lives they are super fun! but it also does take 60 minutes of my life. i get home pretty late u kno with extracurriculars and volunteering. i dont wanna come home and play a game that i have to invest an hour into just for some asshole to easily demolish my hour's worth of work in 5 minutes. its not rewarding and its not fun
thanks jason!
communication is a good idea in theory but there are some barriers to teaching in game.
first of all, if a person is a productive member of society who has a set job its most likely that they are doing that job as the baby is born. the average female in game has around 8 kids (if not cut short). that means stopping 8 times all throughout ages 14-40 to teach a kid a set of rules or jobs or tour
however, if a person has enough time to give the kid a tour its most likely that they are not doing a useful job and that they may not have useful (or relevant) information as they do not have knowledge of the inner workings of the town (as an example lets say that there is a newish mother. she works on the berry farm and dirts and waters berries when they are available. she does not know that the last sheep was slaughtered and now there will be a compost shortage. she has a child and tells it "farm" instead of "get rope for sheep". however, she will have the time to tour the child and teach it what she knows "here are the carrots, here are the berries, etc". its the quality of information she has to offer which is lacking, not the amount of time she spends speaking to the child)
learning to see what a town needs and to have a few fall back jobs is an important part of this game because communication is not always feasible
like i said in other posts, i agree that people shouldnt be expected to put in hours into research. but the idea that others will teach them everything needed in-game is equally unlikely. i know that when i get to my elder years im often still doing my job from years prior, or trying to find someone to pass on my knife to.
in a few posts back i proposed a mentor-trainee system. the problem i encountered trying to put this into practice is that the kids who are willing to learn are often so new that they end up frequently starving to death while i teach. or they just dont pay attention to what youre doing and need verbal instructions which takes even more time out of my life. this means i have to reteach over and over again. in the limit time frame we have thats just not feasible. and the ones who know enough not to starve dont want to learn, they think theyre fine on their own. so it reaches this cycle of pointless teaching and you never see the fruits of your efforts which is SO discouraging
however, i did have a life a few games back where i was smithing and two boys came up and asked to learn. i did my smithing thing and they replicated it. i even taught them the little trick of putting two broken steel tools together to make more iron. that worked only because they retained the information without needing infinite guidance and im sure it wasnt their first game. but this means that new players are basically useless for their first few games which is annoying for both new and experienced players!
ooh and a statue of the eve would be cool to put up too
hipster food?
potato is the highest calorie portable single use foodwant more food? need something it makes it different
no i mean like a bag of food that can be stored in a pack. popcorn bowls n berry bowls r convenient for kid travels but itd be better if we could put em in packs so our hands are free
just played a super nice game with the tarr family! ppl kept suiciding (i assume cos of this post) but it was really nice having a small family. lots of fun incest rp
it should give little food like a bowl of popcorn but can be stored in bag
honestly theres no real trick besides looking at ur bar. if ur meticulous abt it u could keep track of the time between food but otherwise just hold onto a bowl of popcorn or berries when u get down to abt 7 hunger (i think bells stop ringing around 6 bars?)
i suppose the real trick is just remembering to keep food on u at all times
hello new players... bumping this again for yall. its organized by topic this time. if theres a tutorial u want to see lmk i might make it..... eventually
was there for that! i was the old woman who brought the news after seeing the cluster of old folks chatting by the bushes (lol). i dont think odin was too bad on his own tbh. only killed a couple ppl n didnt really try to wipe out the family or anything but i guess my standards are rock bottom at this point
.
http://lineage.onehouronelife.com/serve … id=1009838 <- me. i starved after dueling toby for fun (your younger brother i think)
it doesnt contribute to the survival of the clan but it IS aesthetic as fuck
i play eve runs pretty often (cos i get lineage banned from all the villages
) n tbh baby suicides arent that big of a problem for me. keeping too many kids is also another reason why ppl suicide (or at least players like me
) and since i tend to keep 3 good kids its generally fine in my lineage. its gens 4/5 that always turns into chaos tbh
also all knives shouldnt be stored into one bp. if the holder dies or is killed then thats just free for all for griefers. i usually end up amassing a steady knife collection and i always give them out separately. keeping em in one spot, especially if the holder doesnt use it is just pointless and griefer bait
