What if the white family was the seafaring family and an ocean ran along the north border of the eve grid (not islands or rivers). The ocean could consist of deepwater then shallows then sandy beach. shallows the white family could walk through, deep water is impassable, and sandy beach could have their waystones. White family could craft and be the only family who can use boats which can only travel in the shallows but could be as fast or faster than a horse. Boats could get damaged over time and need their sails repaired.
White people could set up harbors north of where the families are settled and distribute latex, kerosene, sulfur ect. You know how Jason wants those snails for purple dye, have a guess where they live...
I agree towns get too far apart, and delivering kerosene and latex becomes a wasted life its just not sustainable. I would say the eve spawn should be closer but the only problem is that berry bushes don't respawn. It's not so much that finding a good well spot is an issue its just that the wild life nearby would have been tapped already.
Sending workers to get oil at their base works until the bases become more the 1.5k away. After that your spending 20 mins running there and 30 mins trying to get something done. While this is happening your home town is losing people because they need to work elsewhere to get brownpeople oil or gingers or black people latex.
Not to mention white people who have nothing to offer and can't be found.
I'm actually Jason's house cleaner and while I was cleaning his bedroom I found some secret documents which said Paradox was interested in buying the game and charging huge amounts for dlc. You gotta trust me because I clean his clothes and make his bed.
I've read studies that women live longer because they have two copies of the X chromosome so when a change happens in the sequence it can repair itself guided by the other copy.
Also it appears some studies have concluded that the Y chromosome evolves (Gains genetic changes) faster because they do not have a another Y chromosome to copy from.
Spoonwood you don't need to dispute everything Jason says, makes you seem like a negative Nancy.

Perhaps you should ask him about it yourself instead of shooting the messager. He could use some early testers when an alpha build ie ready.
You are not Jason's messenger. You may have overheard some gossip on the school grounds that doesn't give you the right to inform the player base that the game will be abandoned because of hearsay. How do you think rumours like that would affect sales? sometimes it's better to keep that information to yourself. Also why would we want or need to know that?
Why even waste your time. You guys want to know because you asked, If you can be bothered to read you'll see that
Why WOULDN'T you want to know?
1. Because we don't know if your a troll or just a kid who wants his ego stroked because he heard a rumour.
2. Because it will reduce playerbase and overall sales.
3. Because less people will want to learn/play a game which may soon no longer be developed and left to be abandoned.
What have we got to gain from knowing this, absolutely nothing...
I see you didn't address that it wasn't your right to tell the player base, at least you might have learnt something from this.
I just read through this thread no one asked you.

Besides it's obvious he isn't too interested anymore. That ship has sailed, Jason is still literally at the drawing board stage with his new game. He hasn't even started working on it yet so why would he announce it already?
I'll ask him if it is okay to send screenshots of the emails. There's a few personal details in them he might not want not want to share.
Dude, if you have a relationship with his kid and that gives you an inside track, then more power to you. But my advice to you is to leave your ego and need to be validated at the door. You have nothing to prove to anyone in the forum, so don't go sharing any emails, Jason's next game isn't yours to hype right now. And if you are blowing smoke up people's asses, then congrats, you had some fun on the forum community. Admit it and move on.
I'm thinking you are blowing smoke, but what do I know? As Jason isn't good with dealing with his customer base, I can certainly imagine him retreating to the safety of a fresh start that means not having to deal with a community of passionate users for a couple more years until the next game release.

watering cans, cooking fires, anvils, etc.
I really like those ideas. Watering cans could hold more water and get filled from cisterns or full buckets. Cooking fires could last longer and have a fire spot that doesn't disappear when the fire goes out. Not sure how anvils would work but sounds like a good idea.
It's based on luck most of the time. I just played a life where we had enough food and I had to look after a lady in a coma to get a baby of the next generation. Towns usually die when the player count drops.
This is a thread to post some of your guesses of what the new content update next week might include.
My guesses are :
Jute - A fibrous plant which can be made into rope and hessian sacks.
Barrels - We could craft them with the tools we already have available and could hold buckets of wheat, palm nuts, wine, water ect.
Tea and medicine - Wild comfrey for insect bites, Rose hip Tea, Yarrow slows bleeding and as a tea can help colds and other ailments.
Loose muddy iron you can pickup by hand and iron vein you would need to use a pick.
A great city in my opinion has separate workstations, storage areas for different supplies and roads connecting to other major cities.
One city in particular stands out in recent times, It was connected to another city and both were often inhabited.
These cities had a rubber tire workshop in between the two making enough tires to supply both cities and export some to smaller villages.
Another feature I like in a great city is security. i.e City walls & Secure wells.
Also a forest of maple trees really helps the development of a city.
Solution : Say "I follow myself" then get more people to follow you than they have and then you will be able to exile and solo kill the troublemakers.
UNFOLLOW THE BARONY! iT IS CORRUPT! Is that correct action?
The correct action would be to say "I follow myself" then get people to follow you instead of them. Once you have more people than they do you can exile and kill the troublemakers.
Why tf are there three threads abou griefing in the past week? Has it really gotten words since the last update?
It doesn't happen too often but when it does it is incredibly frustrating and often leads to the death of the entire town/family.
Little can be done to stop it other than run away and wait it out or forming a new hierarchy which people refuse to do. (which adds to my frustration.)
...
I agree with all the points. One thing that may help is finding heirs early and the younger the better.
A heir should be someone proven to be skilled, young and is a hard worker. (i.e The people who get oil/kerosene.)
If we elect young leaders it will stop griefers waiting til old age to get elected then giving the leadership to their griefer buddy.
It's a tricky thing to do but it may bypass a griefer who would have eventually have gained power.
I think rebellions should be protected by their members while they are building their numbers. So if a team of three griefers get leadership and start exiling and killing you can protect the town.
All you would need to do is get four people to join you in a separate hierarchy and they cannot kill you. (Because they would need a posse of four to kill one of your four members.)
Super-majority posses could still be in place. It only stops exiling and solo-kill.
If its only a tyrant king exiling you for something stupid. Just convince one other person to join you in a separate hierarchy and the king would need to posse with a guard to kill you or your friend.
(-Posse size equal or larger than the targets number of allies for killing minority hierarchies within own family.)
It would be easier to recruit people to the rebellion by saying "You will be safe if you join us, We will protect you from the king."
There were three griefers. Two guys who had leadership locked the bakery and Crea was the baby stealer old lady. I was more concerned about the two guys who were exiling and killing people. I tried to get people to unfollow them and start a rebellion but no one listened. People tried a few times to kill them but you needed a super-majority so it didn't happen.
What we should have done is everyone unfollow and start a new hierarchy. If we got more people than them we would have had a new leader who could have exiled and killed all three.

Overall the leadership and new killing system update has been a success despite a few cases of exploitation of the killing mechanic.
I have put some thought into a system that would fix the flaws in the current killing system.
I had posted this idea to OnelifeSuggestions on Reddit, however as the subreddit gets little attention I have decided to post it here as well.
https://www.reddit.com/r/OneLifeSuggest … ng_system/
Before people start saying it's too complicated, the changes breakdown into two simple changes.
-Solo kills as default excluding familial conflict. (instead of 60% super-majority of people within 30 tile range.)
&
-Posse size equal or larger than the targets number of allies for killing minority hierarchies within own family. (This has the ability to stop a tyrant exiling and killing the whole town.)
This is meant as an addition to the current leadership killing mechanic to fix flaws within that system.
I go into more depth on how these changes will affect game-play within my post on the subreddit.

I agree, late generations are a real struggle. my suggestion is pork taco with salsa. Cheese tech would be good too.
jason,
we need a "/leader" to find the leader quickly please. (is there currently a way to find the leader now? idk.)
when i was an astor, there was luna astor. she trapped four noobs in a property fence prison.
she killed them while i spent 3-5 mins trying to find the leader. and that's with hetuw mod zoomed out max.
Good idea. If you tried to attack her an arrow would have appeared pointing to the leader.
however another command without the need for attacking would be good.
I agree with wondible. That is most likely what happened. Still it's a bug because it should be updated once the person has been exiled, otherwise it opens up the possibility of it being exploited.
I thought something like this would happen eventually. The exile then solo kill repeatedly. Ty for your story.
I've made a suggestion to on how to improve the system so this doesn't happen.
https://www.reddit.com/r/OneLifeSuggest … ng_system/
All you would need to do under this new system would be to follow spring times and get spring to un follow Bla times (bobo).
Bobo would then need a posse of two to kill one of you while you gather more supporters increasing the posse size needed to kill one of you.
I played as eve yesterday.
I had two kids and it was a fairly good eve run.

It shouldn't be that complicated for new players to learn, A min posse size sign pops up when attacking. All you need to tell new players is you are safer when you are part of the hierarchy (group).
That could work, it would make rebellions a lot simpler to deal with.
However it wont give the rebellion makers much time to try and gather support.
If it was based on how many allies you have in a range, while the dominant hierarchy is gathering their posse big enough to kill you and your followers you could be pleading others to join your cause to try and overthrow the "bad" king.
If it were solo kills for rebellion makers.
A bad king could exile then solokill repeatedly and if someone tried to rebel and got one or two followers they could still get solokilled until they died out or their faction was bigger than the bad king which would be difficult because of all their followers dropping dead.
Either way it will be a great addition to the game.
