This post is incredibly helpful, thank you to everyone who has contributed.

I would like to add a bit about raising babies. The nursery is best served in or preferably next to the bakery with two dedicated nurses one to stay and feed/help bake pies when the baby count is low and one to deliver food to the fields and return with supplies for pies and instruction on what needs doing

For example as the traveling nurse you take a basket of pies to the smith and see there is low iron or only one person working. Proceed to inform the babies we need iron or a second smith.

This also helps as some will inevitably come looking for pies and can also see any information you are passing on. In general people should communicate as much as possible to prevent time wasted looking for items and things to do.

Lastly, this was previously mentioned but I will add, when you are old go to the nursery and give advice while also letting them know what you had been doing. If you were tending sheep ask someone to carry on your work. You may even have time to adopt a toddler and teach them a thing or two. This is especially helpful to newbies.

Today I was born to an eve who must have found a town. It was quite big, had sheep, cows, stew farm, huuuuuge berry farm and a three room building and a bunch of clothes lying around. The thing is rebuilding towns like that can be difficult without organisation. I have a feeling my eve mom wasn't too experienced/wanted to role play more than build. Don't get me wrong I enjoy the occasional RP but with so much work to do telling all the babies you love them instead of giving them jobs/directions can be detrimental.

To properly address your question it is not too common to stumble upon old towns or villages. Though I feel with the new update making survival so much harder the apocalypse will take longer to achieve so the chances may increase.

I see the point in keeping kids now. Just played as eve Ko. Kept all my kids and they worked really hard, by the time I died we had a kiln, seven bowls, berry farm growing, carrots and rabbits too... only thing is I had seven boys and zero girls. I spent my thirties eating and standing by the fire but no luck. Feels bad man.

Well... at least we can take this as a lesson that the forum needs to be moderated.

Jason's family and the community on here are not the ones withholding refunds. There should be no animosity towards them. The post regarding a police report was absolutely in bad taste but, that was one person. Rage I am politely asking you to direct your attention elsewhere. Most of the people you have insulted, from what I can see, have merely disagreed with you. That is not cause for verbal abuse.

I personally don't care whether or not you sue, today, tomorrow, next week whatever. Just clean up the language. You are doing yourself a disservice because as soon as you started getting abusive people stopped listening. You almost had a point.... but now, no one cares.

#80 Re: Main Forum » Is this game elitest, temp update definitely makes it feel that way? » 2019-02-19 23:13:27

Honestly I don't hate the update, yes it is annoying and could certainly use tweaking but the game is still incomplete in many areas and we need to be patient. When I first started playing I didn't realize deserts were optimal and spent most of my noob time learning to survive in swamp, grassland and Savannah. I made it out ok and would consider myself competent now.

Honestly I think the biggest issue is no one has the patience to teach anymore, which is supposed to be part of the games intention. Nannies need to be experienced players who actually give basic info on where resources are and what needs doing. Also mothers in a town especially should run around and show their baby where stations are before dropping them at a fire. I believe this would make life for newbies a lot more pleasant... and experienced players tbh.

So I tried keeping all of my babies as an eve daughter last night, gave instructions on what we needed and asked people to forage but still died out at gen 3 hmm didn't help that my sister was a baby bouncer (overf eeding) oh well I'll keep trying.

Is there a moderator that can just delete this thread? It's not doing anyone any good...

Jesus rage you're pestering people by calling them ass lickers for liking a game you hate. I don't give a damn if you sue but quit the name calling it's childish.

We only had one third gen girl at that point, didn't want to risk loss of succession.

I just played as an eve and my daughters started pooping out babies left right and center. At one point we had five babies plus me and my two daughters and no farm started. So... I grabbed a boy and dropped him off in the desert. Don't get me wrong I felt bad, but our village was going to die pretty quick if we kept everyone. Then a boy who witnessed this proceeded to grow up and eat all of the food we'd collected for camp because I was a 'killer'. This type of griefing is so frustrating because so early on you cant do anything about it. Not to mention he wasn't named so couldn't curse him. Lesson here NAME YOUR KIDS.

I manage to hold him long enough to name him Badden (Bad) but starved straight after. I killed one baby, he killed us all.

I am curious to know peoples opinions on early game sacrifice, is killing as Eve really that bad?
