I'd just like to point out that if you're new, too lazy to build complex tech or your town doesn't have resources you can still help out. Build airports in your towns, They only require a limestone and some flat rocks. This gives somewhere for people to actually fly to.
I built a plane and an "airport", Anyone welcome to improve it. Anyways my plan is to drive really far away and build another airport for a fresh start.
May we find fortune in the new world.

Wohooo looms! I want to see clothes!
Deserts got warmer so we might not need them... Nudist colonies FTW
Or maybe just don't settle on deserts, Jungles are better now anyway.
From what I understand, Planes are effectively fast travel between towns. Sounds pretty useful to me.
im havng same issues all my children are being shown when i click on them to be the children of some guy who died 4 days ago named Rose Fire II which is a male
Weirdly they actually get marked as a father even though they were never in the game. Perhaps Jason had planned to add dads but scrapped it later.
Do we have the same map or have our nice cities been destroyed for Russia?
Also why number them at all, Just call it "Bigserver"
Nvm, It's still the same map. Least Jason didn't wipe the map for the sake of letting Russians play.
I had a mum once who was building a similar monument, even made her kids say X for food.

First he tries to find confirmation in the discord, apparently the guy didn't read it / decides to ignore it. So half an hour later we run to the forums and make a topic about it..
Really can't just drop it? You might've played with him 15 minutes later and had a great teammate. That's the beauty of this game.
Sigh..
I doubt it, But if he did then I'd be amazed at how much his personality changed in 15 minutes. He didn't seem like a team player to me. For all I know, You're the dude but have chosen to remain anonymous. You do sound like him a little.
He said I was obsessed, I agree with that. Dude made my bad day even worse by acting like a complete jackass. It was my anger but also curiosity, I wanted to know why he acted the way he did. Didn't get a chance to ask him in-game because of limited speech and him running off all the time, We had a disagreement but he never explained why only insulted me.
It's just the way I am, Been like that since birth.
You deserve it everytime somebody kills or curses you. You call me a "bad player" for "just standing around" and "welcome to 97 percent" when I'd made most the compost and the horse you were riding around. When I told you this you say "who cares", so it doesn't matter if I work but me standing around for 2 seconds makes me a bad player?
You started hauling insults at me as soon as I told you I disagreed. You had no tolerance for opposing views whatsoever, instead, everyone else is bad players. I cursed you after you started being a dick, You already got cursed several times in that one life. Calling you Toxic just lead to more name calling and running away from me, Yet more refusal to listen to others in a game about cooperation.
I got the feeling that I wasn't the first to have this kind of interaction with you nor would I be the last. It's not a coincidence that several people have cursed you and called you toxic, Stop blaming everybody else.
And yeah, I did stab you even though you were already old. I did it because killing assholes like you makes me feel good. Nobody cared about your murder, I didn't even get a single curse for it.
Got any screenshots of your bunker?
Wonder how much you fortified.
How about trapping an animal in the entrance way so people would be forced to take a hit to get in. The only downside is you'd always need a friend in the base to heal you when you enter. But as long as you have somebody inside it'll be impossible to destroy the endtower.
Easier materials to work with, currently building anything nice takes an age.
Curse you Pein, You stole that Eve name from me!

Instead already existing content issues should be fixed or more primitive content that more people can interact with should be implemented because as it stands, these two suggestions would positively affect the game alot more then the shiny trinkets we just got.
How are you being punished by content being added to the end of the tree? You can learn to make anything at the very tip just like everyone else before you has. Nothing is unobtainable in the tech tree it just requires you to have the resources to make it in the first place. Do you know what I do when a town doesn't have the resources to make a diesel engine? I go out and find the iron vein, craft all the attachments, then proceed to work towards converting all the iron into the steel I need. This stuff is all doable in a lifetime once you start getting good enough to actually learn how to make the engine from scratch.
At some point you have to teach yourself or if you're lucky enough have someone else teach you how to do this sort of thing. I didn't learn radios or engines by sitting around twiddling my thumbs. I had to go look how to craft the stuff, gather the resources, and eventually just do it.
Early game shouldn't be lasting any longer than a generation or two depending on if anyone knows how to do anything. The only thing I think really needs added to early game is another livable biome. As is you at best have two livable ones with jungle almost always being too mosquito filled and the desert being too hot to allow building anything in it.
Not everyone has the time to learn how to make these super complex inventions, people with a part time job and college are gonna have alot less time to be figuring this stuff out then someone with alot more time on their hands, so if Jason is making these inventions that are gonna take to long to figure out for your average person, then he is not creating new content for everyone, hes creating new content for vets. Content that has no survival orientated purpose and therfore has no need to be built anyways.
So when i say add fixes to old content or create more primitive newer content, i say that because alot more people are gonna feel a positive effect then creating useless late civ content that 90% of the playerbase cant or doesnt wanna access.
If you're so unwilling to learn then just stick to watering berry bushes.
That old man knows we're onto him. Thanks for this update, It makes the radio tech a lot more useful.
Make it an option to see the entire tech tree required to make an item instead of just one branch. Because some of us (or at least me) want to see the level of craziness required to mare a radio or a car.
1+
An actual tech tree with all the items would be cool. Be cool seeing how basic items eventually turn into robots.
The biggest thing is that females reproduce asexually, We basically work like bacteria. Also that babies can be breastfed while facing outwards.
Here's the translation.
RADIO TRANSMISSION, YOU SAY? THAT'S SOME PRETTY HIGH-TECH STUFF, ISN'T IT? THE MOST BASIC FORM OF RADIO TRANSMISSION IS ACTUALLY PRETTY LOW TECH: A FEW BITS OF COIL, A FEW BITS OF FOIL, AND A NESTED VAT OF CHEMICALS THAT HAVE BEEN KNOWN SINCE ANCIENT TIMES <KN>IN ALCHEMICAL TERMS, A BIT OF ROMAN VITRIOL, AND SOME SPIRIT OF VITRIOL), AND AWAY YOU GO. YES, IT'S NOISY AND BROAD-BAND, ALMOST LIKE THE RADIO EQUIVALENT OF FISHING IN A POND WITH A STICK OF DYNAMITE, BUT IT GETS THE JOB DONE, AND IT WAS THE STANDARD METHOD OF TRANSMISSION FOR ABOUT THIRTY SOLID YEARS <KN>FAMOUSLY USED TO ISSUE THE DISTRESS CALLS FROM THE SINKING TITANIC). WHAT'S SOMEWHAT AMAZING IS HOW LONG IT TOOK FOR PEOPLE TO DISCOVER, GIVEN HOW SIMPLE IT IS. WHAT'S EVEN MORE AMAZING IS HOW CLOSE TO MAGIC IT IS, GIVEN HOW SIMPLE IT IS. INVISIBLE MESSAGES IN THE SKY, MADE POSSIBLE THROUGH THE SPECIFIC ARRANGEMENT OF PRIMITIVE ELEMENTS BASED ON ARCANE KNOWLEDGE, AND DOCUMENTED THROUGH STRANGE DIAGRAMS. IN TERMS OF THE SHEER NUMBER OF OBJECTS ADDED, THIS IS ONE OF THE LARGEST UPDATES IN THE HISTORY OF THE GAME SO FAR. I GUESS THAT MAKES RADIO PRETTY COMPLICATED, RELATIVELY SPEAKING. HOWEVER, WHEN I TOLD MY 15 YEAR OLD SON MEZ ABOUT THE CONTENT IN THE UPDATE, AND THE WAY THAT IT WOULD WORK, HE SAID, "YET ANOTHER BIG UPDATE FULL OF USELESS TECHNOLOGY! HOW ARE PEOPLE EVEN GOING TO MAKE USE OF THIS, BY LEARNING MORSE CODE?" BUT GIVEN THE COURSE OF HUMAN HISTORY, IT SEEMS STRANGE TO ME TO CALL TELEGRAPHY USELESS. WHAT HATH GOD WROUGHT? JASON
I love how Jason's son came to the same conclusion as most of the community.
Looking forward to it, It's not just radio but the beginning of electricity. Hope we can do more with glass in the future too.

I can see a few benefits in being able to contact other civs. Short and Medium range could be useful for establishing outposts, Long range for contacting other cities.
When your town runs out of girls, you could try sending out distress signals in the hopes another town sends people. The person from the other town can even let everyone back home that they made it.
Nice town and all but waaaaay too many berries bushes. Still, at least more people get to experience the end-game tech like cars and such.
I really hope for some more modern looking clothes in the future. It doesn't just have to be temp improvements, Bigger packs and pockets would be nice too. We should be able to strip down when we have yellow fever, Exactly how babies can.
I find it's easier to E-Mail him directly, I've done it a few times and he's replied within a few days each time. His email is jasonrohrer@fastmail.fm.
Yes. This is how I feel about the update, too.
It is working out better than I thought... I got to play in two revived villages tonight, and the apocalypse is easy to dismantle. But.... the fundamental encouragement of the griefer play-style coupled with the dismissal of the city-dweller play-style leaves me feeling sad and discouraged.
Where you Karely Bob, My daughter who helped revive an old town. http://lineage.onehouronelife.com/serve … id=2599625
The run went well but they recently died out due to a dude murdering the last girl. It seems that lucky spawns can still happen but no more old age respawns.
If you look back, This apocalypse is far kinder then it's predecessor.
