Yeah, there need to be a distance limit that makes sense. Like 15-20 biomes.
Yes! I’ve yet to see a road between two cities!
There’s another town, cafe town nearby and it’s easy to get to stormville from there.
This is a lovely story.
But how are we able to reborn in the same mother multiple times?
Bacon doesn’t need to be cured! Fresh pork belly is a wonderful gift from the heavens.
Yeah I love tacos but fuxk it’s tedious. We need bacon! Cut pork. Cook on hot flat stone!
I was your mom! I wanted to join you at Cafe Town but got distracted doing something! You were a good son

Dot.
.
Sorry I starve and died. Hope you made the berry farm.
Your brother.
I was born Billy Storm to the old Storm city.

By the time I was born the town was old and dying, and there was a murderer in jail. I remember in an old dream that I had traveled from Cafe Town to this decaying Big City. So I took a basket and headed East.
I couldn't find it at first and had to double back, and then lo and behold, Cafe Town. Empty. There was no one there.
I found a knife in a basket. And I found an apron and backpack, so I outfitted myself.
The bell rang in Storm Town far away.
Listening to the tolling of the bell, I navigated the frought journey back to the city. Just in time to see a murderer! Some idiot had let the murderer out of jail. And he murdered a young girl.
I told people: "Come East with me! There's an entire empty town."
Slowly people started murmuring, and most ignored me, but a young couple Feven Storm and Diana Storm came with me. The husband carefully fed her as we navigated the snakes and wild boars and wolves. Diana carried a young boy with him, but we made it safely to Cafe Town.
Diana and Feven were an active couple, and many children came from their union.
We were surprised by a lone female cousin who had made her way from Storm town as well, led by a navigator with a cart who had disappeared.
Feven said, "I'll go back to the old town and grab more tools."
Sadly, Feven was mauled by a wild boar.
I comforted Diana in her sadness and she asked, "Are you my husband now?"
"Yes," I said. Happily marrying someone twenty years younger then me.
She gave birth to many more children for me. One of them was a winsome girl, named BillyGirl after me.
We farmed and made stew. And then I died in my wonderful wife's arms. My last words were, "This is a good way to die."
.
I don't care if it's realistic (which it isn't), or what have you. One person being able to destroy the effort of ten other people in a heartbeat is fucked up. It's bad game design.
Yep. And I thought the cure wound system would be simple. But it’s complex and I’ve only seen “nurses/doctors” in more complex towns that have stuff like a sheep pen.
Basically, useless for early gen farms.
Oh. I was reborn and kept hearing the bell. So one of them the arrow was straight left. I left and found it in like 5-10 mins. Then stole a horse and cart and brought be back to the old town, some asshat who was pretending to be a doctor killed me.
But it was my first time traveling towards the bell!
And I spent 20 mins looking for it, following the arrow. Until I got killed by a rattlesnake. I went thru so many biomes.
In general, how far does the bell go?
Ya I have noticed a ton of snakes lately.
My ma was Eve Re (she was trying to name herself Everdeen), and she named me Katniss.
When I was born she has just popped out, and she asked me if I wanted to try, and I said Y.
She replied, "Let's party!"
We found a place with many waters to set up as a base, and I left to forage. As I forage I started to give birth, I had a son Striker who was amazing and fed me and my daughters, but sadly got eaten by a bear!
I went back to the base with food and two daughters who followed me, with baskets that their dead brother, Striker had made.
And when we arrived, my Ma was there, I hadn't seen her for a while. I had visited once but the base didn't have anyone.
She now looked old and when she saw us she said, "OMGOMGOMGOMG!"
I think that was the happiest I've ever made a mama in the game. She saw me come back with two daughters to her farm that she had worked so hard at.
It totally made my night.
This thread is amazingly sweet.
I named my son Peace and he grew to old age and his last words were: "Peace out"
What is flint tipped bow drill used for?
Realplay is one person cannot decimate an entire vilage with a knife or bow and arrow. Or if it happens, it’s rare. Not half of villages dying because their young females were murdered.
I think wound healing is a step in the right direction.
My ma was a surly grumpyass and named me "Dick", thankfully it turned into Dickson. She didn't lke me and gave her key to the wondercastle, to my sis Clay. Clay ended up murdering a dude and then herself. I think the dude stole something/someone from her. The key was inside the castle.
I was the only female left. I kept giving births to son, and at the very last moment, before my hair turned gray, I gave birth to "Hope." The entire town cheered for her.
My son, John broke into the locked castle by making a key.
Hope was great and the lineage went on for nine more generations.
To my sons, Persistant, Possibility and the third one I can't remember what I name him.
You were the best sons, and very hardworking. I think we could've made that civilization work.
I had six children and they were all sons. And I was the last surviving female.
Because it's also fun playing as a boy, especially when I'm learning a new tech.
Jason, I don't think you need to mess with with gender lineage bans for now.
I think the occasional killing adds drama and role play and I do sometimes find it entertaining. I know killers that target older people.
But targeting young females means you are trying to kill off the village and the work that multiple people have put into. We farmers/workers are the backbone of this game, and if you keep trolling us, we will find another game.
Then who will you kill? Be a smart predator and don't kill off the young ones.

How did it happen? You had no weapons to kill him back after first one?
There was only a bow. She had the bow and killed two females. And that was all that was needed because it was young tiny village. I was a toddler when she killed, and another toddler tried to defend as well, but we were too young. I grew up and worked and then realized the population was done for because the only people left couldn't repopulate. Then I just gave up on that life.
It is annoying and disheartening to build a civilization and a griefer comes and specifically targets young females.
First of all, the number of players seem low lately, and a lot of civs die just because there are no female births.
I was in a tiny village and a griefer killed off two fertile females and everything collapsed. No role playing, nothing fun. Just some dude decided to end the game play for an entire village. In the end, there were 2 man and old woman left. I was a man and had finished making backpacks and I just had no desire to continue living in a dead end village so I starved myself.
How about a murder penalty that only takes in effect if you kill a young female? Maybe this means you get longer lineage ban, or you can't kill a second young female, or your hunger pips drop. Something so that one person doesn't have so much power.
I would support you except you killed EVERYONE. and didn't leave the little girls to repopulate when your selfish ass dies.
45 players on the server today. The numbers keep dropping.
Today an entire tiny village died off because a griefer killed two childbearing females. It was a tiny town too. No role-playing, not hard to kill off a tiny village.
Someone shouldn't have the power to kill off an entire civ, and the people who worked hours of their lives to make it better.
