Why not?
If i have a milkweed farm i can just harvest one milkweed at the right stage and take unlimited seeds from it and you only need 1 seed.
So giving away 1 seed doesnt cost anything for me.
But ofcourse i would not understand the other person, since he is from another village and he probably would get stabbed before any trade can happen.

If everyone would use zoom it would be harder to grief.

If you are in a village with 10 people, 1 is a griefer, this one griefer might steal stuff and run away with it, kill sheep, eat a lot of food....
If all of them have zoom they can spot the griefer much easier, while on the other hand if no one has zoom the griefer can still grief but is much stealthier now.

I think the real problem of this thread is
"i dont want to use zoom and other people have an advantage over me"
and not
"zoom mods make the game more griefer friendly"

jason doesnt like that people use the zoom mod, but if he changes how the game works in order to make zooming harder than this would cause more work for the server and client,
more network traffic, if you have lag than suddenly people would teleport in front of you and stab you, people already complained about different weird lag effects and this would only get worse.

Its easier to grief with zoom mod, but its also easier to prevent grief with zoom mod or to do good.

If there is a griefer in your village that kills all the sheep, someone with zoom mod is much more likely to see him.
Its much easier to avoid bears with zoom mod and you can see the person that is luring them to your village.
You can easier find resources for your village and orientate yourself in the world.

cutting all the junipers, killing all the mufflons, waking all the bears, easily find hidden villages to raid them, rapidly find helpless people to kill

in my opinion, these problems should be solved in a different way.
junipers and mouflon should respawn, bears should be more useful and less common,
the raiding and killing is a consequence of the war sword and rift update, before that it was much less.

Some evil people cut down nearly all juniper trees and tried to extinguish all fires.
But some good people decided to make a fire in the middle of the map and keep it alive as long as possible:

i thought this is awesome and joined the server to help out.
I saw many people from different families in the center, working together to create a village and keep the fire alive.

because if it works like that the lifelimit will stop us, but idk

Jason sees it as a challenge to keep the arc as long as possible.

on wondibles map we can see there are 4 donkey town spawn areas, in each corner one:

but you can maybe /die to get to the one you want, or you get born to another player inside dt

Its a nice idea to teleport the endstones over the rift, this should be easier than building a plane inside the tutorial zone.

yes but the planes should still be able to fly from the outside to the inside, just not the other way around

if i understand it correctly, it searches for all possible landing platforms and only chooses those that are inside the rift radius.

Since jason is gone for atleast another week, the only way to reset the map is to make an apoc tower.
BUT its impossible to do this without the endstones, so if we want to do it we have to use the tutorial zone or donkey town.

We could build an airplane and use it to bring endstones inside the rift, but its a lot of work to make a plane and other people might grief the tower.
We could also try to build an apoc tower inside the tutorial zone,
but the tutorials move whenever a player joins the tutorial zone, so the apoc tower would get further and further away

i think the best way to do this would be to build a plane inside the tutorial zone, you can still hear the bells from the rift, so you can use them to find back to your tutorial village.
Then fill it up with endstones and fly it into the rift,
but this is very difficult to do, many smart people would have to work together to accomplish this goal.

i agree to everything above and would like to add:

Let some resources respawn randomly:
milkweed, wild carrots, trees, mouflon, surface iron ....

the way i would implement this (example milkweed):
every X time the server chooses a random location inside the rift,
first it checks if the biome is correct (green), if not it just aborts and waits again,
next it checks if there are no players around, if there are abort and wait again
if there are none it checks in Y radius around the point if it can find any milkweed,
if there are less than Z milkweed than spawn 1 milkweed at the random location, if not than just abort and wait again.

this is easy to program, is easy on the server,
and creates a rare event that spawns stuff when not much is around.

i was that daugther, i planted 9 juniper trees outside in random locations, i planted them at a young age so i could water them twice and make sure they survive.
i hope noone cut all of them, more people need to plant trees.

Yes i agree,

jason please make it so people cant remove engines from a mine,

also cutting juniper trees should require hungry work,
also milkweed, wild carrots, surface iron and mouflon should randomly respawn (rare event)
