... we have bunnies...
domesticated bunnies... i want to name one spot!
i think jasons tryna get the most important fixes (like lag) out of the way before introducing new content. im really looking forward to the next addition tho! i hope we get bunnies...
when im born in a civ n decide to stay i generally try to be helpful. look around for whats missing, whats needed, and then make it
this life was different though. my mom was caring for every baby while eve was still kicking and i knew we would be out of food fairly soon. i almost died pretty early on too.
i was down to 2 bars and screamed at my mother, "F" but she didnt respond, i think she may have had a little lag
she had a little boy and picked him up and my hunger dropped to 1. "FFF" i screamed at her. the dings got faster and i decided to just fuck off.
as i typed "bye" she picked me up without a second to spare, but my desire to help the civ was gone. as a helpless baby i ran off. my plan was to just die in the wastes but then i saw a cactus plant bloom and i knew that i could survive till toddlerhood alone. and i did. as soon as i grew hair i plucked the fruit, made a basket, and headed north.
there i decided to be selfish for a life. id make what i hadnt had in a long time - a full set of clothes. i started with the bag. i had to gather materials for a firebow and hatchet alone so as soon as i went to hunt my first rabbit i gave birth to a little girl
i'd considered leaving her to die but figured the civ may need her so i brought her back to camp where my grandmother mistook me for another eve. when she realized i was her grandchild she asked where i had been and i told her i went to make a bag. i dropped off the baby with my sister and headed back north.
the remaining babies followed the same pattern. i would lead em south and then fuck off north. by the time my youngest son was born i was still naked with only a backpack. i'd used the nearby fur to make a bag for my eldest son who had died out in the wastes (more lag i suspect)
when i carried him back to camp i found a bear was attacking the camp. it mauled my sister's kids and i took my son away to the cacti and told him i would go make a bow.
in my camp up north i had my youngest, a reincarnation of one of my sister's kids who had been killed by the bear. i named her dead and made arrows as quickly as i could, but i grew too old to feed her. worried for the condition of the camp and the survival of my child i led my youngest back to camp to find that all the young girls my sister raised had been slain and that mine was the last left.
working with my nephews i slew the bear from the safety of the camp's bushes. it claimed my youngest brother, ned, as its last victim.
i spent the last years of my life cleaning up the predators around the area. i slew every boar and wolf i could find, hoping my youngest would survive to carry on the lineage. then i fired up some plates and bowls, completed the bellows, and then died by the fires of home
tldr: i just cant leave shit alone
Have a town hunter. I've played this role many times. Many many skins for the town.
Bear skin rugs should lay on any ground type, not just built floors.
it takes a bit of time to gather enough arrows to kill a bear. and generally in that time span most ppl die. if we had a temporary measure it would buy enough time to gather arrows. also i eventually want pitchforks and torches to create a literal mob (just imagine it!)
and ya i agree on bear skin rugs
wild. good job on out surviving him! sure ur mom would be proud
* Dysentery, because why not.
+2 i wanna die shitting myself
hi jason,
in case ur reading this it would be super cool if we had temporary measures of warding off predators. like for example if lighting a torch and waving it would scare off a bear, or if having bear skin on a tree would frighten it off for a bit. just something as a temp measure to keep the bear away. could also be used on wolves too
hope you consider it!
love,
startafight
I miss fences, If only we could make a fence gate that sheeps couldn't pass.
Also if they aren't as griefable.
I just wish we didn't need to build such ugly pens.
yeah i dont like how easily broken current pens are. make a normal pen n it can just be opened, make a pit pen and it can be filled. thats why i want a new semi-permanent stone "fence" (half-wall) that needs a pickax to be broken
edit: we could probably use the bell tower bases like what the other post suggested but theyre so ugly......... ![]()

i was named pein, so it turned to peiton, she died at 32
caroll was good, i got two iron, made a hammer and axe, she got iron by that time, i assembled the tools
the twin sisters tended the farmdunno from where people get it but they still think berry generates back and leave one single on every bush and still yell at you then they are telling me im rude for informing them that it wont regrow so dont extend it
by the calculation of the other thread, even with composting and berry pies 14 per person enough, lets say you pick it off and can reroll it 5 times in a lifetime, that calculated on 15 people is 42
so if you do 5 x 9 plots on corners and middle should be enougha baby let the bear out so i shot him, cause telling weird stuff and didnt work at all
made arrows if bear comes, Star shot carolls son, he was smithing and tending to important stuff, then she starved luckily
we had all tools, didnt made pen this time, tried to get more clay for the baker girl, we havent had many baskets or rabbit furs, rest was ok campwas decayed, like 3 baskets i think turnipseed spawned on NE nab camp, havent seen much civilization, only a few bones in north
i think i saw u arguing with ppl abt 9 bushes today. gl on spreading the message, its impossible to get ppl to listen to reason... (edit: i think it was the charlot family?)
cause i rush to sheeps, then carts
does that generally turn out better? i find that while im getting sheep (usually gen 3/4) n such my family run out of nearby dirt and just stop watering the berries n then starve (thats why i like carts first so i can move lots of dirt to the farm at a time before leaving for sheep)
I do shovel before hoe
And i make three blades at once for the shears
Otherwise, i do what you do c:
ooo u rite. i always forget abt shears tbh
half wall stone pens to keep sheep in (ones that look nice)
a gate that can be opened like a door (but at the size of a half wall pen - which is half the height of a normal wall/door)
low fences that keep babies and geese (and rabbits if we can domesticate em someday) trapped in but allows adults to pass over just fine
cages made of iron (this doesnt serve any purpose but if i can put a baby in a cage i'll be happy with working the 59 years leading up to it)
so the common order ppl make things in is
axe > hoe > shovel and then things get complicated from there
whats the general order yall follow from there?
i go with
adze > froe > chisel > file blank > blade blank (for saw)
and then after the carts and sheep i make knife. not sure if there are more efficient orders to go by. lmk if there is a better way to be doing things
Hello all,
I have played the game and it is great.
Now I bought another copy for another computer (same email address)

Just guessing but since some people got killed by a shot bear, possibly let a bear out or got blamed for letting a bear out.
i was there when the bear got out. ronda was nowhere near the bear. idk what she couldve done
hmm well it looks like u had several girls who survived babyhood. just died later on due to famine. looks like i was born into this line 3 times. 2x as a boy and 1x as a girl.
i died the first time as a boy b/c it was to eve who had 2 other bbs. wanted to give her a chance to grow first w/o having to care for another bb so i suicided so she wont have to pick
then i was born to joy (ur gma) and suicided b/c she had several kids on the small farm. didnt wanna cause a famine for a boy bb so i left again
then i was born to dasha as a girl (the 4th girl born to her). i suicided that time b/c she had a sister who was a birthing female and 2 other young girls (which means theres gonna be a pop explosion pretty quick)
so basically i was born into ur line several times n left b/c ur farm was too small to support me + u guys put off the signal that ud keep every bb that was born (= famine). and seeing from the amount of girls that actually stayed but starved, u guys were tryna keep more than u could raise
idk what happened to the end of the lineage cos i only saw a glimpse of ur situation those 3 times but it looked like it was going pretty well (i never suicide on a civ as the last girl, i only left cos there were lots of young females), maybe was tryna grow the population a lil too quick n got unlucky with the boar attacks to young girls near the end
what happened with yolonda's kids looks pretty unlucky tho, idk what happened there tbh. ur place was pretty decent n looked ok to support around 6 ppl (by gen 5 when i saw it last)
link the family? might be that they thought u had too many ppl or were trying to respawn into their old family
it look ugly doe ![]()
we had a time where ppl would make "amazon" tribes and kill off all the boys. the problem with that is that some ppl would hide away the boys and start wars, but thats just good rp i guess. also ull be killing off a lot of decent players, even if they come back as girls they prolly wont wanna stick around and help.
also too many girls always leads to a population boom that will always lead to starvation and the extinction of the line.
also with the new adoption feature a lot more ppl will take on sons that u abandon. i guess u could stab em all but then someone will prolly kill u.
either way, having sons has a lot of benefits. you should have both boys and girls to create a functional society
they move 5-6 diagonally, but if they are blocked they move whatever direction
so maybe berry farm on edge but thats too much already
you can make a flat rock street across a desert, at least you can run straight to it
most babies are dumb
once i made a new camp under the cold swamp base my bro made, all was good, until i asked my kids to help carry back some stuff from there, two daughters died to snake on the same spoton the run with yahg, we had a nice camp with tons of loot, and i made it 99 times without getting bit, but most of them died to snake
there are two biomes a snake spawns, badland and desert, both times gonna stuck inside it, so if its a small one you can fill it with seeds or any item then build a pit pen around it.
other option is building a huge pen around city center(same applies as to sheep and they cant get in either) or just graves in a straight line, it acts as a wall
i guess a knife is a cheaper option. i just dont like having knives in early camps. always a signal for murderers to appear. also they take fucking forever to make. maybe ill just cut down all the trees in the area and hope for the best
"Eaten by a snake"
it creates better imagery than "bitten by a snake and crawled back from the depths of the swamp, choking out their last words before perishing on the hearth of our home"

excuse the last words. i just wanted to say thanks to my good sons. always my eldest, always the last survivor
and thanks crimson for wiping the boars. maybe someone who comes across our camp will have better luck
its odd how ohol echoes the "nature" of humanity. not just of the violence, but also how "the oppressed" stick together
i just learned of the stranded women of clipperton. the tldr of that is it was a small colony that was stranded without supplies and all the men died out, leaving only a few women and children. after a storm the estranged lighthouse keeper of the island came out, gathered all the weapons, and declared himself king. he was a tyrant and prone to violence.
this story reminded me a lot of the early days of ohol tyranny, when people would make crowns, get a knife, and declare themself ruler. its strange how people tend to gravitate towards violence with power
im not saying that the suffering of real people is equivalent to an hour of rp, but it really reveals a lot about what we think of when we claim the title of "king"
just a small thought for the night. goodnight all
played eve. oldest daughter eaten by snake. shot as many boars and wolves in the area as possible to try protect second daughter. second daughter gets eaten by snake. too old to have anymore kids
so how does one make a snake barrier? they cant move onto objects like sheep right? so if i make it two thick can the snake still cross? kinda like a circle of salt? even as a temporary measure i need some way as an eve to prevent my kids from being bitten to death. wouldve found a better area but already spent 5 minutes looking for one and needed to settle before i got too old to have anymore kids. any solutions besides making a knife asap?
