I think it could be changed because when you want to make 1 tile of road you need to click 4 times on the stakes which are very small and move between every click, so to make one road, it's like

Aim on small stakes - click - Aim on small stakes - click - Aim on small stakes - click - Aim on small stakes - click - Add flat rock - Repeat for the next one.

When making a road that might be 100 tiles long it gets pretty annoying, when a quality of life change could make it actually fun

Also I wish this was a thing, so we could get some gravel paths to lead the way to important areas. (with same auto-pathing as roads but with normal speed?)

Or just change the planted stakes so there is always a static area of the images to click, so we don't have to move the mouse between every click, like this:
