You can still get born as eve, it's just less common now. Mostly this is because of the smaller playerbase compared to back when there were 100-200 people online
I wouldn't even mind if two families of the same race had the same sprites, just give them more variety! It's incredibly boring looking at your family because everyone looks exactly the same. Every daughter of a curly haired black mother will have dreadlocks. each of the dreadlocks daughters' daughters will have curly hair. It's also extremely hard to tell people apart. There should at least be 5 male and 5 female sprites for each fam, so that there will at least be some variety.

yes this
So I was working on my road and when I made a return trip for another shovel I just happened to see a ginger and a dessert guy "chatting" through paper. I offered my only family trait to translate for them so they wouldn't have to use the paper.
They didn't really say anything significant, just stuff like "I'll get you cactus fruit" and "why are you here?", etc. They talked about the ginger fam's low population and the guy offered to stick around and help out.
Literally the first time translating for people. Has anyone else actually made use of this feature? It seems so improbable just happening across these two from different families than my own and they just happened to be trying to communicate and I just happened to have the patience and WPM to translate for them and we were all old enough to fit more than 3 words into our chat.

There are natural springs on very lowest tile of each band. You can't remove them so it would be better to make road one tile higher.
You're correct. y=2 works better. Road builders will still have to work around bear caves also.
y=2 is a little close to the wire if you're not from a jungle family. It could get stuck on a bear cave or something and you'd have to send it south. If you don't set up the paving directions early and end up with only one tile of space then you have to send it south, as the paver moves onto the paving direction just as it's formed, and they start out in the southern direction.
I think it's at y=6 or y=7 right now.

The road meta is here. It's long. It's glorious.
There are even more advantages I didn't think of yet for this spot.
First of all, most of the trees are pine trees, which aren't hungry work to chop down. This is a HUGE time save.
Secondly, because the bands are straight you don't have to divert around biomes. This not only makes the road easier to build, but makes traveling the road faster too, since the path is more direct.
Third, the "trouble" of the bear caves is nearly a non-issue. Over the thousands of tiles I sent this paver I had to go around one bear cave. ONE.

Thanks
I'd like marriage to be in the game. Having the leader within range of a belltower saying "do you [name] take [name] to be your husband" while wearing a dress would be cool. Requires the bell have a ring ready right after the "I do"
And of course, bonus fertility for the married couple. And no marrying your cousin.
Just to clarify because I don't use all the mapping tools that are out there to see coordinates and such. Are you basically talking about the middle of the map like this. I'm probably misunderstanding ..

Close! The mountain band IS the white family's homeland. So it's more like this:
Arctic band ---
Arctic band ---
Arctic band ---
Mountain band ---
Mountain band ---
Mountain band === (Road)
Jungle band ---
Jungle band ---
Jungle band ---
Desert band ---
Desert band ---
Desert band ---
See how the road is right in the center of all the bands? And it being just on the mountain side of the jungle-mountain border means anyone can contribute to it.
It does have an issue is that it's not so happy for a white woman of childbearing years and any children she might have while out road building, since she would be in the mountain band for at least some of the time.
That's a problem no matter which band we choose. It has nothing to do with the road, unless you want separate roads for each family just to get around this, which seems deeply inefficient.
Now that we have a precise reference frame for our Y position in the form of bands we can use this to our advantage when building roads. By agreeing on a convention for the road position we can build longer roads and connect the old world to the new. It'll be easier to recover pavers and extend roads further.
I'd like to suggest the position for the One Long Road™ be at y=1. This is the very lowest tile of the mountain band, which means anyone can build there, and it's right in the center of all 4 bands so it's equally accessible for everyone.

I think race mixing without proper interracial marriage ceremony wouldn't piss off the white supremacists enough.
If you make a border town it just has to be one or two fault lines inside the band. Don't build the farm or forge or anything outside the band. That should be enough to keep everyone fertile.
You guys think this would be good but it's not. Instead of playing people will spectate, and that means less players in game.

Even ignoring hungry work, branch trees cut up cripple the local kindling supply long term or weaken the water supply. Chopping up junipers won't produce butt logs. With hungry work, how is it easy to obtain butt logs in the grassland? Prairies have no trees that yield butt logs, and never have. I don't agree that trees worth cutting which yield butt logs are extraordinary abundant everywhere. And if you're chopping up branch trees for butt logs (not to just clear space for farming), what will the town do about kindling? Chop up firewood? Then the large slow fires become an issue, and trees need grown sooner which puts more pressure on the water supply. Grow more branch trees? Again, that's more pressure on the water supply, and once first watered it's 2 and a half hours *at minimum* before a grown branch tree yields a single branch (30 minutes before the sapling can get watered, 1 hour for it to grow, and another hour for a branch to get generated). It's 1 hour for any branch tree that is already grown.
The solution to all hungry work is mutton.
The bigger problem with border boxes is a long shaft can remove it by making a sledge. Then anyone can just walk in. I'm against enclosing villages, it's extra work and just complicates things.
shut up spoon
The loss of fertility in border towns is significant. Children are our future.
Have you tried building and maintaining a fence around your village lately?
I haven't done it since the Rift, but my memories of the experience are not favorable.
The decay time for fences have been increased, though I'm not sure how long. I'll have to check.
I think curses work fine. Curses are uncommon, it's not like people use every token as soon as they can. It just sits there until someone's being a prick and you remember it's an option.
who cares
Please don't make whites "free people" in the sense of being able to have babies anywhere. Doing that would lead to more white characters, on average, than any other race. The issues with doing that involve whites not being able to obtain resources. Also, it would further reflect a white supremacist bias of the game, which it already has, since there exist two white races with Gingers as a white race, one brown race, and one black race.
The first issue could be solved algorithmically. The second issue is... systemic...
bad idea
While they're still alive.
If it's not a /die baby then they'll stay and be like wtf. If it is a /die baby then they have to deal with that curse.
Dodge wrote:I cant talk for that company since i dont know them or havent looked into them but if you're talking about nuclear fusion it's the furthest thing from a scam and it's most likely the best energy source for the future since solar, wind etc is definitly not viable on a large scale.
If X doesn't work and people Y know that X doesn't work or doesn't exist, and X is promoted by people Y, then people Y are involved in a scam. Cold fusion isn't known to exist on Earth: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cold_fusion So, any company known to promote cold fusion seems like a scam to me.
That said, I don't know of any Electric Sun company.
The saphire sun project isn't cold fusion and they don't claim it is. They claim it's pulling energy from the "electric field of the universe" through magic electron tunnels from the center of our galaxy. It's absurd. In reality it's just normal plasma. When I said "low temp" I mean closer to what you'd find in a florescent light or a plasma globe than what's needed for fusion. Much closer.
I know how fusion works, the "Company" is a cult. It's called the Electric Universe. Total pseudo-science. The Saphire Sun project isn't fusion at all, it's just generic low temp lab plasma made to look shiny on camera.
No
Also, your electric sun is a scam/cult
