Hobbling the murderer is a good track.
- Double the time that they are slower.

It just takes longer for someone behind the screen to react then it does in real life. In real life if one person stabs someone in a group, generally they're going to be tackled or attacked by someone else in the group. But on screen, first, it takes a while to realize. It's confusing on a small screen. Plus, there is only a knife or a bow/arrow that you have to hunt down from whoever has it. It takes time.

Eve West, what happened to the tiny village we were just born in? I ran out of food and died, you found an iron ore. We had no sheep pen because Pein wasn't there.

#178 Re: Main Forum » I was finally a West! » 2018-06-13 03:43:35

I was Emerald West, I was your ma. And it confused me because today, in another incarnation, I gave birth to the original Eve West. So my characters gave birth to two different Eve Wests today.

#179 Re: Main Forum » I was finally a West! » 2018-06-13 03:27:54

I got to see the sheep pen! My ma (Claude West) gave me a tour of it, when she suddenly died of a heart attack. Her last words were "Now you can meet"

Who Ma? Who was I supposed to meet?

I buried you and your granddaughter helped found a gravestone for you.

The town is HUGE.

Oh and funny, one of my sons claimed to be Eve West, but not the original one but another one. He named himself West as a joke? I'm not sure. It was complicated. I had to keep feeding him because he wasn't feeding himself.

#180 Re: Main Forum » Missed Connections » 2018-06-13 03:25:47

Dear Mama (Claude West), your final words were "Now you can meet"
and you died!

I knew it was something sudden like a heart attack. So I made sure to bury you, and your granddaughter found a headstone for you.

Ooh, I hope I get to see that Pein!

I was reincarnated there as a boy and finally dyed a hat blue. Took me a while. And then  I got killed by a bear way north east. Sigh. With the blue hat.

But the town was emptier, some murders. Lots of food.

#182 Re: Main Forum » Is food too plentiful now? » 2018-06-12 21:20:35

No dude. I've finally been able to think about doing things like how to learn how to dye. (Still haven't found time for it). But now I *think* about it.

And it's only that way when you're in a established town. It's still freaking hard as second or third generation to survive.

#183 Re: Main Forum » I was finally a West! » 2018-06-12 20:54:33

I was reborn to another West Lineage and was named Panth West.

http://lineage.onehouronelife.com/serve … _id=317114

My mother was also Panth, she fed me and then I didn't see her much. I raised several kids, most of them would barely talk to me. One of them was given a coat and a wolf hat from a relative, and she didn't even say anything! I asked: "Are you excited?" and she didn't say anything. Not a "TY".

So by the time the last child came along, a daughter, I was used to my sullen children. But this new child started talking to me! I was so excited, and she claimed to be a reincarnation of Eve West. Children have such overactive imagination! She seemed to be interested in the farm, and was a very thoughtful observant child that liked to stare at things, so I had to remind her to get back to work.

As I grew older, a young man came to me, and he said I had saved him as a child. He was quite sweet to me and made my old age more comfortable. I saw great, grandchildren. I was content.

There were no murders as there was only one knife. And it was kept safe generation to generation.

Again, thank you Eve West!

Also, when I do try to abandon a kid, and when the kid FIGHTS to survive, I usually relent and end up feeding and naming the kid.

#185 Re: Main Forum » "The protectors of civilizations" » 2018-06-12 13:49:33

Yeah. I had a crap mother who only named three children, and abandoned me and my sister. We were nameless.
Thankfully we were saved, I had a lovely cousin Annorah who fed me.

Of all her children, the named one died and my nameless sister and nameless me were the only ones that procreated and lived a long age and continued the line.

When my mom grew old, she came to me and said, "You are a bastard but I still love you." Then she gave me her clothes and her crown.

I took the crown and handed it to my Cousin Annorah who had saved me, and gave it to her.

Rose, you were my beloved sister's daughter, I remember how adorable you were as a kid. I'm glad you attained your life goal.

Was born to a beautiful farm, and named Hawk.
http://lineage.onehouronelife.com/serve … &id=311725

As a boy, I gathered for my sister, Xian. I made sure she had a Three Sister Stew nearby. I gathered her stuff for her.
She taught me to make soil, the foundation of all good farms. By the time we died, there were multiple sources of healthy soil for everyone to use.

It was one of the most peaceful lives I've led. I farmed, made soil, fed my sister. There were no murders, and everyone worked together.

Thanks, Eve West!

#188 Re: Main Forum » Ways that can stop a murder from killing more people » 2018-06-11 17:05:43

In real society, after someone stabs a person in public, the person is caught or stopped. I agree there should be a murder limit, or at least a time limit after a kill.

#189 Re: Main Forum » Possible way to deal with the murders? » 2018-06-11 17:04:12

Griefers have to stop. If Jason want this game to grow past the tiny population it has, the murders have to be harder.

#190 Re: Main Forum » Rea Stark » 2018-06-11 05:09:53

I hate trolls and griefers too.

I wish Jason would just make pvp much much harder.

#191 Re: Main Forum » Rea Stark » 2018-06-11 04:47:48

I was your mother, I was Kate Stark. I am pleasantly surprised the lineage is still going! Good job, Rea!

I was born to the farm, and it was one of those farms that looked good but when you look around the foundation wasn't there. I was very worried about food all the time, especially when the kids started to pop out. I warned the kids that it was going to be a hard life.

Nice work, Rea!

Hello Relative! Eve Mary made a great town, there were some griefers and it kept stopping and starting.

#193 Re: Main Forum » Missed Connections » 2018-06-11 02:29:21

I was born in what looked like Eve Mary's town. My mother didn't feed me! However, my wonderful big brother rescued me and picked me up. And he fed me food.

My mother didn't name me, or my wonderful brother, but in my heart I called him Honor.

To my sadness, he died in the bakery before we could get to know each other better, a stew really close to him.

I then gave birth to four sons in a row! And the last one was a daughter.

My children did me proud, all but one grew to an old age and lasted four more generations.

#194 Re: Main Forum » Drawing the line » 2018-06-10 23:54:38

Yep, I am for censorship of hate speech. In real life, and in game.

Don't worry, Trick, most people are actually good. It's just that racists are louder.

#195 Re: Main Forum » Drawing the line » 2018-06-10 22:46:11

The racism is disturbing. Way more then Griefers. At least Griefers keep civs from climbing up the tech tree before Jason can code new ones. So that's probabaly why keeps them around. Not sure why he tolerates people killing other people for the color of their skin and using the N word.

#197 Re: Main Forum » Spoiled Kids » 2018-06-09 20:34:45

"Hate it when the rest of the hardworking town is naked, and one mother gives her baby everything. Like, we didn't get a luxurious crown, or a backpack with two pies in it, or any clothes at all. Yet one baby has everything it could need. The baby didn't even work for any of it."

It's just like the real world!

And a good reason for inheritance tax.

I was born in the Pancake Family, and my beautiful mother named me Canada.

http://lineage.onehouronelife.com/serve … &id=287650

There was major climate change just before I was born, and all the plants were behaving weirdly, however my older cousin took me under her wing and taught me how to make three sister stew.

I gathered the ingredients, even when there was a murderer running loose. Many in my farm died even though there was a crockpot of Sauerkaut and Three Rabbit Stew available, they didn't know how to eat non-berry things.

I finally figured out how to make chunks of squash, I found a bowl of soaked beans and I figured out how to do the corn kernels in a bowl. I gathered it all into one big glorious pot of Raw Stew.

And then I realized I needed fire but my bones were aching.

I ran to the only person I saw in the farm and my last words were "just have to be cooked"

So close to accomplishing my only goal in life. I hope someone in the future will cook it.

#200 Re: Main Forum » DO NOT use squash or potatoes as a starter » 2018-06-09 15:44:39

Yeah I'm a gardener. Greens are easy, esp in coldish weather, and cabbage and kale and spinach should be directly edible.
