I didn't knew tutorial was added, thought it was there from day 1 of game.
I'm very glad about Eve spiral and lesser spawn distance.
I have several:
1. make all family members owners of gate
No locking people inside or hoarding. Exiles will lose access.
2. make dogs bites outsiders
If someone won't close the door and outsider will slip in, the dog will bit the thief to death.
3. fences only in homelands
No one can steal goods for themselves, only for family.
4. destroying fences need a posse
You need 3 people to destroy fences made by griefers.
5. dogs will sniff outsiders
If a fence is small, dog will immediately attack. If it's too big (like whole homeland), he won't sniff that person so fast.
What we would have with this:
- actual store
- but still collective goods
- trade
- useful dogs
We just need cows. Avoiding yumming will also benefit with LESS kids = more well educated kids.
Have 1-2 kids, educate them, tell to drink milk and feed cows, avoid overplanting, teach what to bring and how to do advanced stuff. That's all folks!
So more ppl would quit? Keep tutorial then. xD
Trust me on this, people are against properties, I lately got cursed for making one (want to stash something, not grief). Trade happens now, ppl use paper to communicate, it's not only stealing.
Tbh sometimes small things drives me, like I wanna reunite with a good mom. I wanted to prove myself if people would use things that I've designed, if they're practical, if I can organize something or stay cool during drama's. For first I was seeking for more drama, ruling, after virus I've seeked for more company xD and try to help, keep towns running with more challengable updates.
Most memorable things tho, were during interactions with others, not things. Nerfing more things won't provoke more memorable things. Co-op alone is not enough, conflicts are also important.
Summarizing, what motivates me are people and some my own small projects, adapting to new situations. I like all new updates.
New player can learn how to pick up things, when to use right/left click, on some toy as bb (not only rubber ball).
So what's the new word for grouping people by their main appearance traits? Dogs are classified as races depending on their looks. If aliens would come to us, they would classified ppl from India and Mexico in same category, brown skin race. Then they would spot differences in behaviour and clothes (culture). In the same time they would categorize us by our position on planet (countries).
Tool slot is good update. People who do everything by themselves are actually hurting towns in long-therm. Like if you do everything for your kids, instead of showing them how to do it. Veterans should teach others, that means they need people who's already skilled enough (teached by non-veterans).
IMO very good idea! Teaching is most important thing in this game, if you need 2 people to do something better, the one with simpler task will observe you and learn the whole process, like an apprentice.
Come back, it's fine now. xD
I'm glad I'm living in mono-race country and we're avoiding all racial problems, this topic already exhausted me and I can finally see the point, ppl are exhausted too and wanna avoid racial things by calling races other names.
My mom's name was Fuka Sun, and I was a boy. When I pronounced her name I was traumatized and became town rapist.
What a long chaos it was, oh my gosh, I still can't back together after that one day. Bugged updated was fixed and we still got piles of iron, but people were in panic, even Twisted. xD Nice thing to observe.
This is not content in my point of view. It's just another way to do same things.
But we would gather malachite first, for copper, then iron from same area. We won't need to go further if we can use different resources for same things, just improved.
At some point, actions done out desire should be able to replace some of the actions of necessity.
Yeah, desire is the key word. But here's a thing, many people don't desire anything in this game. Jason want to give them something to do by forcing them to solve neccesary things. But I noticed people solving them pretty quickly and many goes back to being bored, no matter how many new updates we have. And problems are ineffective, I mean with each new problem there's also like 30% more frustration among players and only 5% of better social interactions in game.
Yeah, acutally I wanted to mention that steel tools decays too fast, IRL they stay super strong for years.
Let Jason enjoy the show, and let's enjoy performing in it, but please, don't stoop to insults about Jason or the game.
Why, the chaos on forum will also be entertaining.
I asked Jason for contents instead of nerfs and you suggested "islands" for muh scarcity.
You can't make more content without nerfing everything first. ![]()
You shouldn't ever be building something "just because you're bored" and "you might as well."
In game or also in real life? This game is not necessary for ppl and how much fun it gave us.
Sometimes free time brings good results.
I see the point of update, mining should be mining, not gathering and we need to care for stuff we're making from finite resources. But if stuff are valuable, we need to keep it. So why someone can steal a car just by putting kero into it? I tried to make a car useful and I found out it doesn't have advantages over a horse (I mean there's more disadvantages than advantages).. so I tried to make 'airport' in two towns, I made airplane from a car. But then someone stole the airplane. ![]()
Also, I see that one bowl of plaster can cover one wall, so why we need a whole bucket of paint for same one wall? ![]()
I'm not familiar with history so much. Althought I know one for sure, we were always fighting with each other, based on our differences and for resources. I don't like when computer games or movies forget about how things in nature works and push equality or romanticism too much, we need to be in touch with reality. That's why OHOL is interesting and unique, because we're not just teams, we are families based on races (and races were a thing even before update).
Back to original point, blaming for racism is as equal bad as racism itself. If someone is triggered by neutral words that describes how races looks, because ppl from them are/were dominated or poor in real life, that's not good. Don't blame innocent people for racism.
I'm living in Europe and idk about this racism stuff you got there in multi-raced countries. Today I was white and some black guy came on horse, he made a way stone to their home, so when I was too old for having kids, I've said that I'm going to blacks. Then someone said racism. Lol. I'm not sure if that was irony or seriously, but I've got a question. What is considered as racism and why, which words and why? Going to blacks is worse phrase than going to black ppl?
Yes, I am excited about incoming chaos.
"Open sesame".
