Hmmm.
-Basically everybody is inside a box with limited resources aka the rift / hell cell.
-Lot tweaks to some grieffing techs(hungry work on trees and some other objects like digging cacti,  you can get feathers from ducks with shears, cant scrap key and lock at same time to deplete iron... these are the ones that first come to mind)
-Curse system overhaul into individual (you curse a player that you dont want to be born to you "curse you" and not stack curses on players)
-War/peace between families (different fam elders can declare state by saying either WAR/PEACE on their opposite language)
-Oil pumps now wear out
-You can mine iron from veins with diesel engine
-Tomatoes/onions are now edible

Most retarded thing in the scoring system is that if you are actually a high skill level player who starts societys makes em roll and prosper you get a big hit to your score cause ppl cant survive eve camps.

Getting good score means that you dont do anything yourself, you rely on others to kickstart your civ. Then you born into a ready made world and just live of from others doings.

Havent cared for the score at all cause for me it just reflects the people who wil suicide your eve camp and eat your pie pile.

Whole auto aim thing sucks big time imo. I just got auto aim tagged at village with knife wielding kid. Had high yum and started running, but for some reason this dude speedhacked and was able to catch me. Eventually kills whole fams girls.


Could have outrunned him with my high yum ez, but for some reason he got some speed boost. Maybe its a connection thing or something. This game has literally every hack that usual fps have, aim bot is delivered by core game, wallhacks, speedboost etc

360 no scope = make a circle with mouse shift + click anything

One click, speed boost... Yay skill...

Whole pvp system is unbalanced, leans towards angry kids with father issues rather than actual skill.

Actually 4 hours or 5 lives is better.

The hours is actually the safer thing to judge by, right?

Yap hours is better way to determine the "newness". Player with hundreds of hours can still die several times when being born just cause of neglect mommas.


Whats the worry on seeing people as "new". Actually it works quite the opposite. I can tolerated idiotic behaviour from people tagged as "new" and help them leanr things. Without new tag some of the newby behaviour looks exactly like grieffing and with the current state you have to insta stabby stab those people before they do that to you. New tag would differentiate noobs from griefers.

It's just a positive suprise if the dude jumps instant on the forge and starts to hammer some complex stuff. Ofc skillgap between new players varyes a lot. Some people watch videos/guides/etc before comming into the game and are actually like 20+hours knowledge before even playing a life. Imo the new player notification is just to help out the totally new players who are having hard time in just staying aliwe at the berry fields MUNS MUNS.

The stuff in this game takes ages to learn from scratch. Think i lived dozens of lives living simple famrer/gatherer life before even trying to jump on the forge stuff (just to not f up  the rare iron for ppl) and back in the age of the carrot the stuff wasnt even that complicated XD.

5 lives / 2hours is nothing. In that time you prolly just learn how to eat berrys and make a basket. Would bump it waaaaaaaay up. Like say 24hours 100lives. The game can be really hard and harsh on a new player. So they really need all the support they can get to get going.

Deffinetly its tedious job, but its not that costly for advanced civ. I'd say making fancy clothes and spamming onevariety rabbit pies is much more of a useless burden to a society than painting walls.

We actually have pretty much unlimited resources with the new enginepowered iron mines. So complaining about painting cost (1corn, lime and some water) is ridiculous.

Only problem now is that you dont have enough resources other than cow pee for doing this. Coloured building can provoke behaviour and aid the city forwards. Make a cross shapped red house and people will fill it with medical tools. Make a blue house and stamp a "police" sign on it and all of a sudden you got  some blue uniformed lawenforcers rping in your town. Yellow piss houses just have a stain on them...

Then you make ten adobe walls... But true can be used for grieffing buckets. Maybe you could empty the bucket to "Small Trash Pit". Don't see much usage for the hole so might aswell add some.

Even though buckets having several uses would solve the issue with lapis and cinna, we'd still need a slight buff to alum/sulfur spawn rate imo.

Yap, solution could be also to make the paint bucket have more usages. Really tedious job to try to colour a house. Especially when the arc lasts just few dayes, its over before you finnish a house.

Now that we have rift some objects/items have come so rare to come by that its an actual marvel to create anything out of those.

For example, desert feel like really rare and always super far away from towns and theres really not that many spots on the whole rift with the new map layout. So everything that was rare before the rift is now legendary rare.

-Lapis lazuli and Cinnabar are almost pointless, as if you would gather whole servers lazulis and cinnas, you still prolly wouldn't have enough to paint one house with a single colour and you get these strange LGBTQTAQWERTYIOP rainbow houses.

-Sulfur spots are really hard to find, this pushesh rubber and all kinda radio/photo tech super far or almost unreachable.

-Same thing with alum.

Dont feel like other biomes have this much affect as items they contain are in much more abundance or the rare items dont have usage that demands a bunch of them. The problem is pretty much with desert "rare" stuff. Could prolly add gold on the list, but as objects that are created from it only take max 2 pieces it's achievable.

Maybe you could tweak the rng of the  rift box that is generated in each biome insome way so each arc would be more unique. Increase the "object" spawn in big bundless and at the same time lower some so we could get more variety in what the arc looks like.

Lets say one arc round would be insanely clay/reed abundant with just few stones. This would encourage people to build towns out of adobe instead of stone.

Maybe the fauna could be affected too. This would require tho that other animals than sheep produce feces as its main component of compost/soil which is kinda required for any long lasting civ.


Other idea to bring more meaning to the "endgame" state would be to bring somekinda monuments/relics that are really hard to make, require tons of resources and teamwork to build. Long lasting problem in this game has been that civilizations reach their pike point really fast. After that building and constructing things seems kinda pointless and its just sustaining the current state ez living from already built stuff, theres ton of everything all that is left to be done is to sort it out and clean up mess after others. The town simply doesnt need more berry fields, houses, tools, clothes, you name it.

With super hard object sink monuments/relics you would solve two issues at same. Clear the town out of mass produced clutter and bring more meaning to your life. You actually have some goal rather than just hanging out in the berry field and munching up or spamming some rando nonsense.

Items that usually are overly produced are clothes, sheepskins XD, housings, crappy zigzaggy roads, branches, sharpstones, plates, bowls etc. Towns are literally littered with all kinda rando crap that the past generations have made without the town  having any need for it. People just rather spend their lives producing something eventhough its not needed or go hardcore mode and swing the swords, stabby stabbys and shooty shoots. It kinda gets too boring to just chill at the bakery/farm and munch a different yum every now and then.

Few ideas:

Stone statues = stone sink(sharpies, huge stone blocks, flints etc), less unnecessary houses, clutter and more culture

Zipline = turn clothes sheepskins into zipline rope that can be combined into a maps edge to edge zipline. YIII

Bonfire = stack huge amounts of branches and random wooden objects to huge pile and lit it up

Highway = 4x100 road paving which turns into 4 lane road with high speed

Botanical garden = a garden constructed in certain way with every kinda of plant strain there is-->everlasting nonuseable but eye candy.  Maybe you could pick seed/sapling from plants 1 piece once an hour(this would solve many grieffing issues with plants).

I actually sort of wait for it. I can see the good sides of rift after some time of the basic limitless building. People lose their meaning and go on killing sprees. Atleast in rift you expect it and are prepared for it.

Rift deffinetly has some fixes it still needs, but i can see it working with some tweaking. New updates seem like a good thing. Except that even cacti can be grieffed now with hungry work.

One thing i dont see yet and what the rift deffinetly needs is way to deal with the mass spamming of bears. Three arrows to kill a bear is too much effort and risk for anyone to clear em all. New ways to kill bears please.  Make beartrap  great again.

Warswords are retardedly good at killing whole towns.

Theres simply one option to prevent that and that is property fence and with property fences you get locked in cause people just dont pass the rights or you end up wasting 1/6 of your whole life just asking to get rights.

There seriously needs to be someway to counterplay this. Shields armor, dueling... Anything.

The whole game is all about murdering and grieffing at the moment. No point in trying to build anything, just join the murder squad and swing the swords.

Ye, i can deffinetly see the pros of rift now as we can make these mega citys without any limitations. Rift really has some potential, but its all washed down by the hardcore amount of grieffing and the everlasting "end state".

Biggest problems to me seemed to be:
1. Bears, bears everywhere and only one way to deal with them.
2. Tinder is still easily grieffable
3. Ducks are easily grieffable, for no arrows to encounter bears
4. Warswords are tool off mass genocide
5. The end state lasts waaaay too long.
6. Sheep grieff, kill or let loose towns all sheep, kill every mouflon.

Solutions:
1. Add bear traps for a new way to deal with the huge amount of bears, this would also counter the need of ducks as arrows are mainly needed to kill bears.
2. There could be a really small chance on trees to respawn. Dont need a serious regrowth, but even a small chance would do a lot.
3. Ducks are only needed for bears hunt. Add bear traps
4. Pvp system overhaul, theres lot of ideas already how to rewamp it.
5. Tweak the end conditions in some way. Maybe there could be just a timer and the rift would always last up to certain amount of time and then wipe again. People are so freaking good nowdayes playing this that you have to play in apocalyptic world for ages. Any new end condition is surrpassed somehow and you end up living in waterless, super grieffed world for dayes. Maybe the challenge could be how big city you can build in this time.

Another idea. Have Few rifts going on at the same time on same server. Like grid of four. Maybe add some way to transfr stuff between rifts. Like lets say you could build a traintrack over rift. You could not walk over it, but you could transfer valuables. Also planes would be an option. This would encourage trade.
