hardcore mode yes please
Well, maybe not for the first game, but yes. We'll have to have medics at the sidelines though, otherwise games will be very short ![]()
Woohoo! Really great idea. I'm totally doing it. To avoid griefing in big towns give the people bread and circuses, keeping their stomachs full and their minds diverted.
also bring food to games
We need good clothes too. Arctic Winter Games Arena may be deadly for players and spectators alike ![]()
This game can't/shouldn't model everything for reasons that are obvious. Why break things trying to do so?
What is being broken?
"It's supposed to be for when that one guy is running around being an asshole, and you kill him." This is all well and good but that one guy can do irreversible damage without real consequences before what criminal justice system is possible within the game deals with the issue.
Just like IRL - people can do irreversible damage without real consequences before what criminal justice system is possible deals with the issue. What's your point exactly?
Edit: I don't know the HTML codes for italics. Used to be <i>, no?
It's BBCode:

Aye fights would be nice, have to have medic/pieman to feed all the stabbers though..
And you can stab them too. War IRL is 80% logistics - how to get food and supplies, where your army is.
Interesting idea but wouldn't this ultimately be a waste. You're essentially letting griefers live off there curses while not needing to work and having to feed them.
There are plenty of wasteful things that people still do. Dyed clothes? Roses? Stew?
J/K Stew is crucial. ![]()
But maybe if we add some forced labor... Hmm... We just cannot overdo it - they still have a choice of being Eve.
I just edited the post and it let me change the topic.
Thanks! Good to know.
I have been lenient towards cursed babies. I had two yesterday,
Damn. I've be fighting for karma system for month and a half and I still didn't have my cursed baby. Life's not fair! ![]()
GOOD TO KNOW. So there's a max of ten which means you can only be marked for an hour at a time? Now that seems a bit underpowered.
Nope, that's for the next life.
Assuming that marked babies are usually killed, clearing a curse will usually involve playing as Eve for an hour. But it will depend on how badly you are cursed. If you really make an entire village mad at you, you might get 15 points in one life, meaning you have to live 5 hours before it wears off.
Furthermore, once it finally wears off, you are back to being unmarked, but you still have 9 points. That means that going back to griefing, and angering 10 people, will push you up to 19 points, requiring 9 hours of play to clear.
BTW. How do you change topic title? I've tried once to fix typo, but couldn't find it.
I think it is dumb you can curse people who can't pick up things yet.
You could name people who are cursed like you gonna let them live and then have the whole village curse em...
Would you keep playing if you had 20 hours irl time to pay off?
I think you cannot curse already marked person. At least the plan was to make it impossible, to prevent spiral down into endless curse:

4. Cursing an already-marked person has no effect (token not spent).
I think that making prison cell as an alternative to Eve's run is really creative. After all they don't have much choice. They cannot just suicide to be born in better place anyway ![]()
That's great idea, but maybe for the future. Currently they are so rare, that they are treated like celebrities. The whole village tries to keep them alive, giving stuff for free, even knifes ![]()
but eventually no one cares about effectiveness only about symmetry
True that! Every time I convince people at the noobcamp to move farm from middle of the green to desert border, they start to "fix" my farm by making it symmetric and plant things in the middle of the desert ![]()
Because I want to have nice fights between towns. And without well managed towns it's not possible. If they're having famine every three generations, they ain't gonna go to conquer another one.
Maybe it can be automated a little. First thing is to check the plug it I've linked - if it works, that may save a lot of tedious work.
If it doesn't, I think crowd-sourcing can do miracles. If some option or plugin can disappear temporarily topic reported as spam by few people, many would be happy to help (I would). Just enable it and ask people to help. I'm pretty sure it can work.
I feel your pain pein (pun intended, I couldn't resist).
But what is solution to that? Do you have some ideas that you want to be implemented?
It's easiest to fix if you can send a replay to Jason.
..was he saying"curse me or more die"?
I don't recall that. But people knowing that he did this on purpose didn't want to make him a favour and curse him. So my good advice is, if you want to be cursed, just pretend to be regular griefer scared of curse
If you are lucky and really obnoxious, maybe you'll make it in two-three lifes.
Oh, a cursed baby? They've showed up now, is that a bad or cool thing? (the text)
Definitely cool. You know how hard is to get one? People are literally begging to be cursed on forum and discord
Griefers killing 15+ people cannot achieve it.
I've seen a guy shooting someone with a bow and asking for a curse - nobody did it! It's too precious.
Yeah, 5y-olds are running in them, demanding to be called Queen ![]()
things never get reported by 5+ people, as a matter of fact some post dont even get reported at all.
Maybe because people think it's futile? I rarely report, because when I did, I haven't seen any difference.
Yeah, if you can figure out what is holding shit up you can make a big difference just hauling in dirt.
I hauled in like 3-4 trips of dirt with a sledge as we had no wheels and the city lived. Every trip back there were
people babbling about the food shortage while doing nothing to fix it.
Once I got town out of famine this way. I got passed down king's crown and knife for doing that. ![]()
Another idea: I'm not familiar with FluxBB, but maybe there is some option or plugin that just hides messages reported as spam (by like 5+ people) until moderator can review it. I'm marking some topics as spam, but it doesn't seem to make any difference - they disappear at the same time as the rest.
So, if John Smith has five curse points and then someone names a new baby John Smith, can we continue cursing the first John Smith or are we now cursing the new John Smith?
Oldest one, but it will change soon:
