a multiplayer game of parenting and civilization building

You say "There are no variables per object."
But there is a decay timer for each object? How can containers store items?
Can you not use the decay counter to store the well information?
Can you make it so the object doesnt decay but has a decay counter?
I think no one here knows exactly how your engine works.
If you want better answers, you need to explain how it works
One tile can store how many different variables? what kind of variables?
Give us examples, how does a basket work? how does the current well work?
This is inspired by other ideas from people here on the forum
- YumChain cannot be broken anymore, but instead decays
For example, every 5 years you lose one yum
This is so other people cant break your chain anymore
- Special yum food, that gives bonus yum
For example ice cream could give you 3 yum when you eat it (only the first time ofcourse)
This can be useful to balance food in an interesting way and make bad food good.
Its not so difficult to get logs. Take a cart and an axe and you can make 3 buckets easily
Why destroy someone else's work?
I would not stab or curse someone for removing a wooden floor tile in order to make a bucket, but i dont think it should be done unless there are no logs/tools anywhere.
I sometimes make wooden floors around farms, this is often required, otherwise people will just keep expanding farms without letting space in between.
I often eat wild food when i am out in the wild searching for iron or other resources.
I like eating them and i want to keep doing it ![]()
Why does jason punish people who play his game the most?
I am glad i dont play that often and dont have such a high life time curse score.
Whatever wrote:@jason the graph shows peoples play time and their curses, but people could have played before the curse system started.
i also heard that you once reset all the life time curse scores. This wouldn't have much effect on the slope, that is, the average rate of curse accumulation based on a linear trend.
Example:
Player A:
played 50 hours before the curse system started and 50 hours after - overall 100 hours
got 10 curses
Player B:
played 0 hours before the curse system started and 50 hours after - overall 50 hours
got 5 curses
wrong:
10/100 = 0.1
5/50 = 0.1
average = 0.1 <----
correct:
10/50 = 0.2
5/50 = 0.1
average = 0.15 <----

So Tarr has a curse score of around 60 and morti has maybe 80,
i wonder who the person with 240 is lol
lol InSpace, nice one
but i know you faked it ![]()
very few players are actually affected by this, we dont need changes to curses every focken update
Yes only the people who play the game the most. They are not important.
I think this warning needs to be in the terms of service.
This is what jason promised me when i bought the game:
- Lifetime server account
- All future updates
- Unlock on Steam
- Full source code
- Tech support included
So i dont see how he can suddenly ban people, without giving a refund, for whatever reasons that are not included in some sort of term of service that the person accepted.
+1
should be like written notes, you can pick them up to see the picture
Tarr made a nice photo:
looks like someone cut his head off with an axe
EDIT: WARNING if you do this jason might ban you from the game !
The pictures you make will be send to the server.
Meaning if you use different sprites (like the fox mod) then those will be visible in the picture !
Someone pls make a funny picture with different sprites.
For example you could change the sheep sprite to an unicorn and make it look like the game has unicorns
Or take a picture while you are on shrooms
0. Health (nothing is fun when you are sick / suffering)
1. Having children / family / friends
2. Being successful in life. Reaching goals you have set
(private property could be a sign of success or a reached goal, but it doesnt need to be)
I like this idea, Feb 2018 this is long ago, what was in the game at that point?
How was it like?
I also want to share one life i had:
I was born as daugther, my mother showed me the graveyard and she told me that we are grave keepers.
When i was a bit older i told her that i will not bury the dead and that it is bad.
She was very upset because of it and told me that i am no longer her daughter and also cursed me.
Then i told other people in the village how mean my mother was, but they dident care.
So i told everyone i will go and commit suicide, they also dident care about that (i was the last fertile female)
Right after i told everyone i left the village, but not to commit suicide, but instead to make a bow and arrow to kill my mum.
When i came back with a daughter in my hands and an arrow in my backpack everyone was gone.
I then had many more children and they also had children. I destroyed all the graves and told my kids about my evil mother and they should never bury people.
Later an old lady came back, she had the bones from my mother and another guy. I think she wanted to bury them but i prevented it.
In my last words i told my mum that i destroyed all the graves.
Spoonwood wrote:No, it's not an endorsement of griefing to let them speak. It's just a support of them having freedom of speech on the forum. Additionally, griefers give away information about their own selves by letting them talk.
LOL. You'd support a ban for someone who spammed advertisements or who just posted off topic crap. This has nothing to do with free speech. A topical forum has limits we can choose what those are.
But talking about griefing is not spamming and also not off topic.
Imagine all news channels would ban stories about people doing bad things.
He said he is sorry, dont be so mean to him.
The lineage died, but i dont think it was your fault windmiller.
Please let things evolve naturally.
Dont create more magic mechanics like biome lock.
Increase the things players can do, instead of limiting them.
I tried different things with the fences and i really like them.
I tried building fences around villages and it doesnt work well.
A. people dont like it
B. fences will decay too quickly
Say silly stuff? You mean imitating sexual assault? And currently, killing people is the only way to punish someone for their actions, so yes I would recommend that if you want to stop someone. I can not believe you are actually trying to insult me for criticizing someone who thinks it is okay to simulate rape.
You are saying that "simulating rape" is a problem but at the same time you say the only solution to it is "simulating killing"
What if a kid plays this game whos father has been stabbed in real life? Imagine it plays this game happily, doesnt even understand the rape jokes and suddenly a woman comes and stabs a guy.
This is ok?
Know who makes excuses for rapists? Other rapists.
Your refusal to condemn this sickening behavior betrays your immaturity and suggests you may have been one of those who carried out that roleplay.
"If you dont agree with me, you are a rapist"
