Great work! It’s a heavy task to make it to 60 - most give up around 50 due to their shrinking food meter. ![]()
Welcome to the game and forums!
I just made it out at 24... woah! That was exhausting, but was one hell of a speed run. Is it strange that I’m enjoying the tutorial more than the real game? Everyone is so friendly there... and I love seeing their reactions when I break them out ![]()
Mama,
This is Bronson. After you died, I didn’t know what to do with myself, so I spent my last years making you a grave. Eventually, a person with the last name of Butt, completely unrelated to us, wandered into town. She heard me venting to the townspeople about how I missed Mama. You’d said you’d be reborn, and come back for me, and yet I was wrinkled with age and hadn’t seen a sign of you. Knowing I wouldn’t get to see you again was killing me faster than I was aging. You coming back was a truth I’d cling to naively, hoping and waiting and being disappointed when I knew. I just wanted a family. I’d always told you I’d make you a grandma, I wanted to adopt a little girl or boy for my own.
The Butt listened to me when no one else did. I wondered if she was you, but if she was, I knew she would have reached out by then. I had no hope. Then the piercing cry of a baby erupted into my ears.
“Maybe I have a chance at being a father...” I thought, but that dream was snatched when she scooped up the child, claiming him as her own.
“I just wish I could see Mama again and show her her grave...” I sighed. Butt put down the child to console me. And then the child began crying like crazy, trying to communicate in one-letter intervals.
“B / R / O / N / S / O / N”
“?”
“I / M”
You didn’t even have to finish the sentence, and right then I knew. I knew it was you, Mama. I scooped you up in my arms.
“Mama!!!! You came back!”
“P / O / N / D” you began, as I had promised I’d bury you amongst your ponds, where you built many wells.
So I showed you the grave I spent so long working on. It had “Mother” proudly but crudely etched into its gravestone. You were amazed. You asked me how I did it, and I was quite bashful. It took a while to find skewers in a place populated by not one, but two big towns.
I told you I was running out of time to tell you, and to look it up on Onetech. And then, a second miracle...
I heard crying from the distance as a baby plummeted into view, crying for food. In an instant, I scooped her up and fed her a berry, claiming her as my own child.
“I always told you I wanted to be a parent,” I said to you with great happiness.
It was a happy ending. And I died with my daughter in my arms and you by my side, promising to bury me next to you.
Thank you for the lovely, fluffy ending to that life — usually my lives end with kids saying they’ll miss me so they get my stuff! I love you.

Her last words... oooof. She tried to make peace with us by gifting us a clay crock — that’s how we met. And then we betrayed her by stealing from her city... that stings to think about that. Sorry on my peoples’ behalf
I was the person who broke them out of “tutorial jail” ![]()
That time, I went North. We ended up traveling and eventually dying of old age together.
I decided to try and do a speed run of the tutorial, escaped at almost thirty. I helped another Eve out and never saw her again. I continued South for many years and found no one else, and then a snake leapt out of a tree and injected me with fatal venom. As I died, I stumbled into a tutorial jail and saw two skeletons, one of which was marked as yours! So I did end up finding my way home, haha!

Discovery: NORTH is newer tutorial spaces, people who joined more recently. SOUTH is older tutorial spaces. I try to break out anyone I can and do a fast speed run — fun as heck!
Oh gee. I think this has happened to everyone at least once - don’t feel too guilty. I know how it feels when you misclick...
Just remember, right-clicking with a weapon on the square below the person will kill them, not drop the weapon.
Would blessings still occur with this plan?
Tokens would probably be more common for blessings, maybe one per hour?
This could be avoided by simply not speaking at all, but mothers could say something like “Speak, bb, or I abandon you.”
Edit: autocorrect corrected mothers to Mother’s
Well, I'm going to keep it to "friends" for now.
You can always pop in discord and paste in your twin code. Some random person will grab it and used it, and there you go, you'll be born as a twin with a stranger.
That would be kind of fun!
I predict forum threads containing “play with me! My code is ——...”
Especially if it’s a kid pointing at a weapon but they’re too young to pick it up — almost definitely going to be a griefer.
1.) Baby suicides when I’m out of town thinking I’m an Eve and runs into the town.
2.) Baby is rude.
3.) Baby points at gear — griefer alert.
4.) Baby suicides, I won’t run after them.
I came from YouTube.
Thanks, MattShea.
I’ve only ever suicided once, it was when after being stuck in the Eve loop for hours I’d been born to an Eve trying to survive in the tundra and noped out.

Hi Mom. I was Helen, your firstborn child to whom you told many tales.
I wanted to ask Athens for his hand in marriage, and to prove my love to him I lead him to a refuge where he could be safe from Jax. Little did I know, Jax had followed us there and tried to stab Athens. But he starved before he could put the knife down, knowing doing so would be a death wish.
A bunch of kiddos ran to collect Jax’s loot as I proclaimed he was dead. I took a loincloth from his corpse as a statement that I had been the one who essentially killed him. If he’d had stayed in town, if I hadn’t lead him away, Jax would have continued to hunt my love.
But Athens wasn’t pleased with me. He didn’t give me any credit and I decided to give him the knife instead of keeping it. Sorry to burst your bubble, but Athens became corrupt when the knife was in his possession, threatening to stab me if I didn’t give him my clothes. (Well, he hinted at it more indirectly — standing with his knife in hand, free from his bag, while he told me he needed my clothes.) I was forced to flee with my child. And he didn’t, as far as I know, hunt any of the children who had looted more of his valuables, like his bag and other clothes. (Which I ended up giving the king later before I died...)
By the time I arrived, you had already passed, dear mother. And soon I did too, for I was forced to press ESC and then % due to real life matters. I loved listening to your tales. And although I wasn’t the cause of war, I sure did contribute to it — just as you prophesied.
Thank you for your beautiful story.
Helen

Edit - autocorrect sux
You’d have to have a certain amount of pips full to have a baby, then, in order to avoid starvation.
Having a mother who’s at “hungry” or less is already a bad idea.
The only loophole I could think of is AFK mommies
Afro Girl x Rattlesnake
Maybe a natural light green colour instead of a blue?
How about a snapshot system?
When you press ESC it makes a snapshot of the screen so you can directly click the person you want to curse?
One at a time?
When you’ve gathered all the materials for a backpack and a three year old kid who just got hair makes the bag for themselves while you’re not looking...

I experienced this and wrote about it in one of my stories.
It happens to me a lot and I’ve heard people remark about it as well. Maybe it’s on a specific server? What server have you guys been experiencing it on?
A visible indicator based off of how a.) often the player murders or b.) how many people the player has murdered in one or more recent past lives (more than two is proooobably a murderer) might be nice. It could be settle but unable to be covered by clothing or hair. Like a birthmark or scar on their face?
I like the “bless” vs “curse” idea because it’s unlikely to be abused unless the rumors about a griefer are wrong or a few griefers spawn into the same village, which isn’t very common.
