I think bobo is doing the right thing to show Jason how bad the game ATM. Number of players playing this game is half compare to last year.
Jason is too determine about his vision of his "fun" and "challenge". Each update brings more problems than it solve.
Someone should wake him up from his illusion.

Bobo is the problem and is just using whatever excuse he can as a means to pass the blame onto Jason. I mean fuck, did literally anything come of the Toxic situation with him phishing in the discord because another ban?
Easiest solution is just banning players like bobo to a curse server. Obviously we're not going to do this because it's better to allow bobo to run amok so Jason can keep wasting update weeks on balancing it around three asshats instead of advancing anything. I swore last month we'd be done with the github list and now it looks like we won't be done until August.

Just imagine being a king at 3 years old, this will probably happen from time to time.
I'm sure it'll be fun unable to make any orders for 20+ minutes. Of course this also can't be changed without client work (aka won't be done.)

A good idea is to play when children like bobo have to sleep. Better idea would just be not to play until Jason finally figures a good solution to this issue. Best idea would be play a better version of the game lel.

sounds like a bug to me, since eves should be in untouched nature not running around to search non dry wells...
The thing is with the current Westward advance is, that if is too slow, eves spawn to close if its too fast, there is no time for villages to connect.
It's so small because plenty of Eves will fail thus when the range was 200 you would have towns thousands of tiles from each other. This is a problem because Jason only lets one race have transportation meaning you're walking 5 minutes one way, and 5 back (which is bad.)
Be happy that Jason has blessed you with drama or else you wouldn't be having fun. Griefing is important to make sure you're having a fun time.
Actually, you don't know what fun is. You had a very fun time and should be thanking Jason for it.

You will self sabotage the well beings of the game if it works to try to coax the players into playing in your specific vision of the game. You introduced war swords as butter knives (a known bug that was incredibly bad for the game both times you accidentally did it), you introduced incredibly easy engine scrapping as a means to get people to use fences, and you left players in the rift and currently are still sticking to the racial restrictions.
People get mad because they're passionate about the game you've made and we're the ones stuck with the consequences of bad choices you make as we're the ones who actually play the game at the end of the day. Do you think it was fun being stabbed to death with swords? Do you think it's fun to constantly have to remake engines because eventually you run into someone who wants to break it from in your family?
It's great you listen to us when it comes to things but not all of our suggestions are crazy ridiculous like wanting solo killing back. Is it really that crazy to expect the engine to be slightly more difficult to destroy? Think how hard it is to remove a way stone (which basically only existed to grief at one point or even fences. Twigs in the ground are more difficult to take down than it is to scrap an entire diesel engine and that is pretty stupid. That favor dream that produced the idea for fences really fucked things up for a little bit and is now the leading cause for engine destruction because you can't come to a middle ground with us.
If you want to influence the players you need to make things sensible to do. It's nonsense for players to make farming more annoying because eventually in x amount of hours someone is going to be a dick and destroy the engine. It does make sense for players to make more tacos/burritos when you buff them to feel more worth it. Players definitely see the game from a different angle from you and you've got to understand why people might not want to play a glorified waterboy for an hour. I'd ask you to try to see something from our viewpoint but with the whole ss13 fiasco it's very clear how you play games when given the freedom to do so.
It's 200 range and it's that large because otherwise people can run far enough to hide their corpse while dying which essentially makes them uncursable.
Why not just behave instead of do things to get cursed in the first place?

Jason didn't feel like fixing it at the time so it's a bug that is a feature.

You also can't exactly sneak back into a town you were murdered in if you have a big black text box over yourself. Beforehand, you could just sneak back into the town and continue griefing due to anonymity nowadays you can keep tabs on trolls and would be able to stab them on sight.
I mean does it though? If three people target you (you know posse kill limit) you go from 12 second wait for like 3 seconds (aka you're dead.)
With movement slowdown + wait time the only viable weapon is a bow (if the opponent is stupid) or a knife on someone not paying attention (aka noobs who don't know they're being attacked.)
Even in the current game you can't kill most people solo in the wilderness due to the combination of slowdown + wait time and the only people who die to that are new players.
Revert combat where both sides were on equal footing instead of this system that buffs griefers instead of the good guys.
Yeah, just rip the whole new combat system up and go back to the days when players had the player agency to actually defend themselves. The problem with combat before the posse change was because of the war sword and you not wanting to nerf something completely OP. The idea clearly wasn't thought out at all and because of that the game suffers to this day.
Every other weapon had cooldown + stagger of a minute meaning if you stabbed someone in town they couldn't run very far. Add in the fact we now have !'s to show where someone is attempting to attack someone/injury someone and an actual working curse system and it'd be much better than the current system. Posses favor players organizing outside of the game due to the bad in game communication we currently have making things more in favor of the bad guys.
The problem isn't "hurr durr, not enough murder in game" it's we can't actually use murder as a tool to remove trolls while they can still use it to abuse regular players. As I said elsewhere how is raising the posse limit going to help when I can't even get 3 people to form a coherent posse? I have no yet once killed a troll since the /die change and instead have just been killing myself because why would I want to deal with that?
What these graphs show is that griefing has swapped from just stabbing people to other things like engine destruction (another terrible idea btw) and animal griefing.
The fact a village can't stop a solo griefer in this version of the game is just plain dumb.
Doesn't include how many engines they've scrapped or animal related griefing. Where griefing has shifted from just murder now it's just about ruining the highest tech in game because of how horribly designed diesel recycling was made.
Killing wild animals is simple either way. As soon as you realize someone is doing it you never put down the quiver+ bow again.
Solo killing unfortunately enables """hero""" types who always kill and exclaim that killing is bad. It is really just for the best of everyone to let new people die in these situations.
You'd get the added effect of at least seeing them due to their curse names but yeah, they could just walk back either way.

I don't even dislike bobo honestly, he's just using the killing system we have which is clearly flawed and easily abused. If he dropped the 'praise bobo' stuff it would be less cringey though.
His point that the posse system won't stop ppl like him is a decent one, clearly it doesn't work as well as it should.

All other weapons were balanced before due to the stagger time. Jason just couldn't deal with swords being balanced so he gutted the whole original system. Now might makes right and organized trolls will kill everyone and Jason will just give the head nod of approval.
Basically, don't show Jason a problem if you aren't ready for him to completely miss the issue or come to the wrong conclusion. It would have been better to let trolls abuse swords slowly rather than force it and get this dumb system.

Just don't save people as you're seriously better off sticking out of the drama and letting most of the village die. Most players are too new to realize you're helping vs bringing bears towards the village If you're going to help them you need to be the guy shooting the bears otherwise enjoy the free curses. Moreso, if you're female just let all the dumb townies die and repopulate it as you work.
