Nope, I very rarely suicide.  In bad spot, I try to figure out how to turn the tide, moving the farm if necessary, asking people to come.  Usually I'm the last man standing, with set up farm, waiting for any girl to come back.  They almost never do - all dead long ago.  Even if they do, spot is far from perfect and lineage ends in next gen or two.

But after 2-3 runs like that, I'm not in a mood for another one in a bad spot.

It's not my kids that gets unnamed.  At least not intentionally.  I ocassionally get unnamed kid in town, when I'm not even aware I had one.  Heck, I watched one replay three times yesterday, when reporting other bug, and I still don't know when last kid was born.

This way we're are at square one, chasing griefer every single game.  Getting a backpack and a weapon takes half a lifetime and I'm supposed to repeat it every single game in a town.  He can repeatedly suicide 15-30 times per town, till he gets unnamed.  No lineage ban when he fails.  And no curse when he succeeds.

I had this problem yesterday and reported it.  Got back mail from Jason that is has been fixed.  I had no problem with backpack today.

If you still have a problem with bp, please send replay showing it to Jason.

If you don't know how:
In game directory there is "recordedGames" folder with all games played.  Try to locate the correct one by date/time.  Copy it to "playbackGame" folder and start the game - you will see replay of everything that happend.  If you found correct replay, note down % of time in top left corner, when bug happens.  Mail it to Jason.  Should be fixed soon.  Move the file away or delete it from "playbackGame" folder to play normally.

If you lit the torch and died and still spawn into the tutorial please report it here - it's a bug.  We don't want it happening for new player.

If instructions are not clear, and you don't know that after you lit the torch when you die you'll be spawned in normal game - please report it too.  This may warrant a fix as well.

Last time I've played tutorial you had to go all the way till you lit up the torch.  Not sure if you can skip it, but shouldn't be hard to complete.  And it'll help you a lot with the game - you won't instantly starve, not knowing even how to eat.

If you have problem with some step it tutorial, let us know.  Maybe some instructions need to be made more clear.

I think it's really a big flaw in design. Griefers can cycle through lives, until they get unnamed.  And lineage ban does not kick in until they've lived for 30+ minutes, so in practice they can try to be born unnamed in a town as long as they want.

I've already stopped feeding unnamed kids, but lots of people still do.  And it's enough that there is 1 newbie among 20 people in the town for it to work.  There is a loophole than can be exploited repeatedly by the griefer.  Last griefer stabbing people left and right I have to deal with was unnamed.  Named ones were only petty thieves stealing tools from the town - they still got 6+ curses.

Yep, but it's still faster and easier for him if you mail the replay showing it.  It's one man show - help him a bit.  I've already got bunch of bugs fixed this way, so I highly recommend it.  If you wanna just whine on the forum, it's you choice.  But it's not likely to be fixed this way.  I can't post the bug report myself, 'cause I haven't seen it and I don't have the replay.

It happens sometimes, I know it sucks.  But usually I keep most of kids as Eve.  Heck, even the kid I'm spawned with stays with me like 50% of time.  I do name myself and him instantly and I start temp running searching for a spot.  That may signal to them it's not another newbie run.  For further kids in early camp I ask every one "Just started, wanna live?" - that helps to not waste time and resources on the ones that don't want to stick around.  And at the same time it's kind of commitment for the ones that answer Y.  I do keep like 80% of kids as Eve this way.

Where the camp was?  In the middle of green or on the border of desert?

I get like 80% of kids stick around with only kiln and few wet bowls.  But spot temp is nice, water and soil is close, green is large and I tell each kid where resources are.  If I have time I run around with them as well, especially to point out where food is until we get farm going.
