I don't have 80% suicide rate even in Eve camp with kiln and few wet bowls.  Maybe 20%.

How single guy with a bow can kill all people?  Especially those with knifes.  It looks like this town was already dying.  He just opportunistically finished it off.  Complaining that there are no fertile women, when your familiy is starving kids left, right and center is kind of hypocritical.

Doesn't matter much.  He'll just block all acounts.  After getting over threshold he needs to play 1h or more non-griefing (most likely as Eve) per account.

So is curse system working as intended?  I'm not asking whether you were cursed or cursed anybody else.  Just if there was some rampant griefing you couldn't counter.  Curses should be rare, their main effect being detterence, not punishment.

I've played bunch of games today and I've seen so far only petty thieves (stealing axe, shovel and hoe from early camp) or somebody luring in a bear.  PITA and hard to catch exactly who (we had our suspicions), but that's leaps and bounds better than somebody killing all fertile women in addition.

We also can kill griefers.  That was proven to be not enough.  The purpose of of curses is to stop playing cat and mouse with serial griefers across lives, not to get rid of them from single game.

how long are you waiting?  the past 2 updates for me have been weird.  the progress bar stops for maybe 30 secs or so but eventually finishes

Game hangs for about a minute during downloading update near 90%.  No disk activity.  Alt-TAB doesn't work.  After Alt-TAB finally works, mouse cursor is locked into small area (vertical box few pixels wide. about 20 tall).  Alt-TAB to bring back game then doesn't work either. It only blinks black screen for fraction of second and goes back to desktop.  I had to kill it manually after few minutes.  After restart it didn't download update, so probably finished it.  Playback of recorded game doesn't display what happened.

If you don't handle it yourself in other way, SIGSTP suspends the process (same as CTRL+Z in shell). SIGCONT ('fg' command in shell) resumes it.

There are dozens of things like that.  And twice as many at Eve's/early camp - having griefer there is basically death sentence.  E.g.: make a bow, poke 2-3 bear caves, bring whole circus to camp, shoot fleeing people in the back.  What's your counter?

It doesn't matter if it happens once in a blue moon.  But there was nothing to protect from running into same griefer over and over and over again.  Killing just send him to other village, were you can be born soon too.

New griefing meta: name your kids after your ancestors.  You don't need to do anything else.  Some will do stupid shit and village founders will be cursed into oblivion.

This is so exploitable at the moment, that I'd put it on hold until fixed.  Current version may make more harm than good.
