less baby spawning, people cant control it, game should not let more than 10 people in a settlement until they build something to allow it, seriously, its too much.
more balanced gameplay. there should be always a solution, just harder to find.

more reasons to have big family. family wars for example. send away excess babies on wars once they got bigger.
with the current situation the wells deplete fast and people cant stop it from happening. you end up with an empty well which blocks the way for 10 hours. most civilizations dont live so far.
Dont build wells, simply dont. Cisterns between distant ponds can store 10 water, you win a water each time the pond is not full
build a cistern and a fence next to it two tiles away, this allows for horse run with poaches, fill poaches, fill cistern, go back to farm.
ponds got visual indication, wells dont. ponds can be filled if somebody takes last sip, wells dont.
i see too many well walls blocking the farm area
until things wont change, just dont do this, once babies run around, they fck every well up. put it further and make sure you control the refill, then is okay, but you got to be crazy to think you gonna usethat well three hours later.
just find water ponds near a decent savannah and an okay green biome. small patch of desert is a bonus

first life i met a guy who brought a horse, i was feeding him, then told him to wait, went to a medium far forest, got the things one by one, made a fence
then he asked what to do next, i told we build a fence pen
made half adobe on front and 3x4 iinside. i had a few runs, even a good one, i forgot about the city but then i seen my fence.
mom, princess had crown, called me aurora wanted me to be hunter or farmer, but my first word was she ep
made the bowl with carrot, made the fence close, made a rope, went out, found a stupid wolf hat and released the sheep , then i brought back again but somebody increased the adobe so i didnt see my bowl, confused, starved cause was too hot, didnt wanted to release sheep
then other life i managed to do all right but the sheep escaped trough the filled thrash pit, then everybody stole everything, and i was angry at a chick who stole my second arrow, stabbed her but somehow the kid died instead and i starved, too hot slowmo, lag.
Next run we made the saddles, i born a daughter, i lost like 7 kids, i tought i keep it, called aurora, actually she was princess, my mom with crown from other run.
Then we moved the fence with old pal and made our saddles, rided a bit, then died before moving fence into colder place.
last run i almost died as a noname kid between 6 others, but somehow survived, geared up, then after some griefing and anti griefing i took the horse, made 1 tile horse stop fences in northwest where i hid knives and north so horse can stop there, overall was a nice village, i had several runs wasted with sheep and learned the lesson
i dont agree with different zooms, would make it weird, i can barely see things on screen now, i
would like the option to have ability to zoom in and out or a small minimap with fog of war on what you discovered
the scenario as follows: too many babies, too small farm, usually far from water, once the carrots are gone, they try to seed and water but not enough tools to do that and no real cooperation
your goal: make it easier to run the village or to migrate
your means may differ
step1: home marker, just to not get lost, helps a lot
step 2: gear up, saves a lot of food, a backpack can hold and hide food or items from others, or go fetchsome rabbits, or wait an old person to die and give some clothes
step 3: communicate, try to convince each female to limit baby production, increase food production, if you cant convince, you can force it, kidnap babies or kil stupid mothers
step 4: set up farm clsoer to water, improves on water runs, even with bowls they can water crops
step 5: set up a small farm further away, pick out some carrots, store seeds and leave some water to restart it any time
step 6: decide who you want to live with, by this time you should explored all biomes nearby, talked/seen peoples in action. you need the smart ones, also your kids can be the best assets, they are loyal, you got a few mins to tell them what to and what not to do, the les peopel you can convince to cooperate, the further you need to go, at least 3 biomes away
step seven: take all the duplicate tools, some bowls, snares, 1-2 pouches maybe,b orrow advanced tools if needed, take it back later, make your own,start small and limit population, each woman one daughte one son, if they die or the diffference is big, two daughters, really depends on your output
if everyone dies, scavenge everythign yo ucan, and instruct your kids to send out some people on move
things you need to do anyway any run:
set up fences on 4 sides of city and if you can few biomes away. this helps with horse carts
set up roads or paths (cut tees, line made of firewood) to signal routes easy
set up a small farm near a water source outside main areas
asses how much resources the city has, try to form a plan and communicate
Snakes are problematic only if you're careless. They actually RUN AWAY from you just like wolves do. I tested it out as Eve out of boredom during 111 gen run. You can stad one or two tiles away from snake/wolf and it will move away from you every single time. You can even use that to grieff by driving wolves/snakes into towns on purpose. Or, you can have pet snake it you trap it with items just like gateless sheep pen works.

today i wanted to kill my second niece, who came 1 min after first but i lagged out, her stupid mother popped two females after a famine
she in return stole and hide a shovel
i was able to use it to make a sheep fence so wasnt that bad
was a bit pissed but went away soon as they died near the farm, i could of dropped a carrot, i even had a pie left and was fully geared, but my mother the drama queen popped 4 kids, and my sister like 7? couldnt count, ofc they die , somebody even lost my snares
there was 12 tiles of carrot and they let it seed with a huge yellow biome around us and they die when there is a huge cactus farm north, she was idiot to run to me after i told her not to make so many kids and she still did, but seriously 12 carrot field and they were forcing 10+ population
well i zigzag and wolf and bear cant touch me in general but snake is like a rock. and popping up in screen sometimes makes me go toward not away
they do rattle but no ideea which direction
i die too many times when they hide behind trees, generally a small desert biome can spawn them, then they wonder into "safe biomes", worse than griefer attacks

also was a sad moment when i tried to run and my mom catches me twice, then she told me that there is a city just everyone else died and im the last hope, i was willing to birth a daughter even if i had a very nice run before, well the city was a patch of farm in middle of green area and she run into a rattlesnake in green biome

people dont listen, setting up a small farm takes like 20 minutes of your life

such cooperation is impossible. some people are like a plant, you put them near the farm as a kid, stays there, never knows what is where, just complains why dont have enough carts, pouches baskets, never knows what and how to make.
had a lot of runs today, people just move pop out the kids, most of em die in one famine. but they just continue to pop kids. one solution would be not fighting it, let the main base stay as it is, kids would have to move away from carrot farm, just make some small farms near water supplies. leave it dry. the starter base would be an arena and people would drop kids there, let the strongest survive. just we should make sure all kids are dropped in the center
sheep can gear up huge population, there is no next step, thats why people become killers, they are too bored having everything from start.
well no matter what, create 5 boards and make floor signaling as an arrow, 1 spacing between
straight ahead make a single fence in next biomes border to park a horse, helps with resource gathering and on colonization. take the duplicate tools, do this if the city is well developed and people are too lazy
Just had a run where a granny had a 3/4 complete fence
made the trash pit trick, filled with leaves, small sheep can go out, so need to bring back with a rope and needs to be long fence so when grew up wont get out
also seems that diagonal blocking only works with adobe not with diagonal fence so i made three thrash pits
iwhen i got old i stabbed all the lose sheep and fed the city with it also plenty of hides as clothing or later as saddle
i seen a guy named Derek coming with horse, thought he is worthy of the knife, told him to follow, a lady wanted my gear so i stepped away and he stepped in and instead of dropping i stabbed derek, sorry dude, wasnt intentional, im so idiot xD

an experienced player can help on gaining wood and milkweed. i told my first daughter to stay near bushes until i setup farm, she died stupidly digging a carrot and not eating it, that caused me like 4 minutes lost which is 10% of my life, also an upkeep for a granddaughter as she ate all those berries. all she did, got me a seed. my second daughter survived but kept 3 kids for 3 parcels of carrot and she wanted to leave one to seed, showed her the berry bushes, died at 57 triing to save a granddaughter.
my farm wasnt optimal but had plenty water, bit far from the green lands.
i had seen maps with huge iron and ice biomes, if you settle on one side, you will never be able to cross it without clothes and backpack, even so, you might not come back alive, so limits you half of the map. location location location. you can run out of wood before forging an axe.
i would like to add two things: desert tiles are useful to raise children and cactus can keep you alive while working on base. so far my best eve runs included small spots of desert.
kids are resources, human resources. with a desert tile you can feed them 3 times and they are ready.
each kid needs upkeep, like a management game. is it a good investment to make a kid? no if you dont have food close by.
your farm can be optimal near water supply but you may lack in reserve food.
solution is cruel but had to be done: kill grandsons. third generation can have males, pairing me up with stupid kids will ruin my heritage. its boring to play 46 minutes as eve, al lyou can do is optimize it to have some fun next life.
once i had joriom as kid, i kept two daughters, she kept one, everything was mostly fine. died at 50 cause didnt wanted to eat their food.

soon after i had my kids coming, they seen they murder grave but no one seen me doing it.
same village other game someone murdered a guy near the forge, he had a knife all i know that she said "it had to be done". old lady who was my daughter previous life told me, that its up on me but i should kill her. i took the knife and stabbed her on the farms, also despawned clothes. i dont know if i was right but she killed a guy. later i explained myself to others.
i never dug out berry bushes, feels stupid, if you want to kill a lineage do it the hard way, mb even eat the berry or just block them with seeds, and take their food but dont dig up bushes.
people should get random names after their mother not giving them any
also should be a hotkey to see who did what action with an item
digging bushes should at least slow you down like killing people. i mean you might want to dig out a random bush in the middle of a house or just dont water it, but i dont think anyone needs to dig so many out to palce other things.
a town was griefed hard over and over, i been there 5 times, berry was dug out twice, then all the berry in closest green biome, sheeps let out, murdered, fence was modified, tools missing, clutter from bushes. everybody spawned as an eve 10 times before that city, it was pelnty other things to do, like fences in distant biomes, search and get back items in vicinity. had a small farm, so people died anyway, i wouldnt of minded killers but griefers who jsut want the biggest city to fail is annoying.
eves should have more girls, its hard and boring enough to play 60 minutes to make a farm, not to worry about your heritage
carrot gives 6 food not 5
havent experimented with composting, basically you need to addworms, and worms are finite.
griefers dig out berry bushes then hard to make it, still, for efficiency i think it does worth to make some pies for long travels. people should make soem fences in distant biomes to be able to carry stuff with horses

respawn is quite normal, when server is full you get more sons
i dont care what others think its unreasonable to have many kids before having basic stuff and even after
if noobs cant realize they need 5 carrot rows to raise a kid then they get doomed
it shouuld be a screen showing your previous families, if both sides agree you could be born, preferably as woman
lost my progress too many times
noobs ruin the game, today my sis had 2 kids who died with backpack of food on their back, we struggled to be alive, and my progress was lost
then i was an eve and set up the farm until age 50 then still wont reborn there
so i suicide until i get a carrot farm at least
i was a kid of an eve, noob player, died carring me to a bush, she made a skirt instead of tools. i barely survived on a desert tile from 6 to 8 bars, so basically ive been the eve. and told my first 4 kids that cant feed them yet, then 4 sons, kept one, others suicide or come too soon after another, finally my daughter ran away, my only daughter. i was doomed, my son was dumbass too, i even left him carrots, he never touched the farm, i was going for seeds and he died somehow after building a furnace.
i suicide if i want to go abck to a different city, sometimes happens. or if the players are dumb, today i ran away after i see my mother burned the first rabbit.
wish i would remember it, single player game on pc and tablets, you were born into a family, then each step you take consumed one year of your life, fog of war on maps until you discover, there were like 6 maps and the final boss was in a lava map, was like chess mixed with some original ideas but got kind of repetitive after a few runs.
