Before my first minute of this game, I knew (more importantly, did, in the way of planning) more than most of the people who were playing it.

I watched Justice and Honor videos, wrote the recipes out for all the basic tools and roughly calculated food consumption based on J&H's temp meter, which I later refined by my own personal tests in game.

Twisted and Drae, and everyone else, were bumbling buffoons at the time, and still are, but that's okay, they're jesters for entertainment, not educators, and certainly not workhorses. Their videos made it clear they did not have the same level of motivation to not only keep themselves alive, but to ensure their families, their children's children, had a better shot at survival, after they passed.

This video was perhaps the one that sealed the deal for me One Hour One Life. How to be useful 101. Rebuilding an old village. No commentary. 3,863 views•Published on Mar 16, 2018

But even Justice and Honor made mistakes.

I planned to do even better. I realized a lot more about the game (from watching his videos, reading forum posts and picking up on patterns) than even he did. Though I couldn't have done it without him. He gave me the knowledge, and the rest of the idiots on Twitch and Youtube gave me a desire to be a better provider than anyone ever was.

That was all I ever wanted to do; waste less, work more, maximize longevity.

--

Just because you see that people are new, doesn't necessarily mean they know less than you.

But even if they did, you should probably just silently envy them, instead of rushing to pluck them from the tree, before they're ripe.

Especially if you haven't ripened yourself.

--

Note Justice and Honor does not talk. He didn't need to. Neither do you, but you can, if you want to.

If I were you, I'd set a good example by working twice as hard if you get one of those messages, and talking half as much, if not at all. Set a good example.

Please, for fuck's sake, don't churn out more chatty buffoons like Twisted.

One WBSteve is more than enough.

Now go fuck yourself.
I love you.
Bye.

Here is an idea, and a question for those of you that like to do value calculations considering water, soil, iron, clay, time, etc.

another type of animal feed for sheep,

and/or

another recipe for compost.

Here is the first thing that comes to mind.

Bowl of Wheat + Bowl with Corn Kernels = Bowl of Animal Feed + Clay Bowl

However, most animal feeds tend to use soybeans, but for all the potential uses of a new crop, like Soybeans, I'd instead like to know what could be of equal and comparative value, to that of the two bowls of gooseberries and carrot that it takes to make a pile of composting compost.

The upside of the current method of making compost is the easy of creation, the potential for consumption of the ingredients raw; berries and carrots, as well as the potential to gather these things and potentially make compost without ever needing to farm berries or carrots, from their wild counterparts.

We lose that with corn, as teosinte seed does not seem a reasonable substitute for the bulk mass of modern corn.

There is also the labor/time to consider, the picking of berries to fill a bowl twice is something that shouldn't be overlooked. This discourages people from the task, which, I think is a good thing, in that it challenges new players to avoid the easy route of just eating raw gooseberries and carrots, and instead turning them into feed, compost and pies. So maybe an additional step, or more, to
Bowl of Wheat + Bowl with Corn Kernels = Bowl of Animal Feed + Empty Bowl
say
Bowl of Wheat + Empty Bucket = Bucket with Wheat + Clay Bowl
Bowl with Corn Kernels + Bucket with Wheat = Bucket of Feed + Clay Bowl
and the other order of that, with
Bucket with Corn Kernels + Bowl of Wheat = Bucket of Feed + Clay Bowl
as well as
Bucket with Corn Kernels + Bucket with Wheat = Bucket of Feed + Empty Bucket
and
Bucket with Wheat + Bucket with Corn Kernels = Bucket of Feed + Empty Bucket

But this still seems like it'd be too easy.

People aren't snatching up wheat and corn nearly as much as they are gooseberries and carrots, although, the wheat is using up a full tilled row, whereas the corn is consuming 1/8 of a tilled row, as well as the space for drying. Do shucked ears of corn dry in slotted boxes? That I don't know. I think they would, just like the timers on bits of clothing placed in boxes, still carry on. If they do, a slotted box near the corn rows could be useful, rather than splaying the shucked ears across the ground, as we often see.

I still feel like soybeans should be used, either in addition to wheat, or, instead of it.

I'd prefer we had different types of beans
Soybeans (Fabaceae Glycine max)
Green Beans (Fabaceae Phaseolus vulgaris)
Black Beans (a variety of Fabaceae Phaseolus vulgaris)
Kidney Beans (another variety of Fabaceae Phaseolus vulgaris)
Pinto Beans (yet, another variety of Fabaceae Phaseolus vulgaris)
even White, Navy or Great Northern Beans (which is, no surprise, another variety of Fabaceae Phaseolus vulgaris)

But, right now the Green Beans and, what might be Pinto or Kidney Beans, are basically being treated as the same plant.
Starting with Wild Beans we get Bean Sprouts which mature into Green Bean Plants which after being winnowed, soaked and cooked, get used much the same way Black, Pinto or even Kidney beans are commonly used.

KWwzHsl.png
Heck, what about planting them in a hardened row, watering and then tilling them in when they mature, with a hoe, to make a Deep Tilled Row?

I think Soybeans are distinct enough from the "Common Bean" that they deserve their own wild source, but let's say, if you wanted to use them in animal feed for pigs, cows, sheep, geese, or even turkey or chicken or rabbits, eventually, you go through the same steps of planting watering and harvesting them, minus the stage where you get a bowl of green beans. You let the plant dry, fill a bowl, use a stone to get bowl of soybeans with chaff and either add that to your empty bucket, bucket of wheat, bucket of corn or bucket of wheat and corn, or winnow them and add the cleaned beans?

There are so many possibilities here. But I think new methods of composting deserves it's own thread. I think cow and pig's should produce manure, and that should be usable, heck, all animals should really produce dung after being fed. But the big ones are the more obvious ones; Cows, Pigs and Sheep, for now. I'd love if we could breed horses, but, we don't have that for now, nor do we have to feed them.

Few more useful links for ideas on the topic of animal feed:

yeJfrx3.png

So, while this thread is mostly about what foods people are eating, I figure DestinyCall, Saolin and the rest of you discussing the values of foods based on their ease of production, would be just the folks to weigh in on this.

I've lost my reddit account and I'm not really interested in making another, I barely even used the site when I had an account there, so if Jason is adamant on only taking suggestions from the game's reddit page, then maybe one of you could go over there and make something on this, either, on the addition of Soybeans, new animal feed recipes, the ability to till till bean sprouts into the soil to act as fertilizer, say, for hardened rows, or anything else.

And since I know people have brought it up in the past, yes, buckets are highly valuable, and we should also have a new recipe for rope as well, but I've made those suggestions before, tied it into clothing as well, and we got the loom, but no new plants for textiles. Cotton, flax and hemp are the obvious ones, silk would be a fun one to try and make, but, we're on the verge of plastics, and with them, things like nylon and polyester are soon TM approaching. Not to mention there's rayon, which could be made from the cellulose from wood shavings, now that we have those and paper...

Too much for one comment. Come on Jason, get on your ass and start drawing again.

The killers are exploiting the zoom mods, using them you are all easy pickings. ALL OF YOU.

It doesn't matter what color you make adobe walls or clothing.

It doesn't matter that you make engines; you're only mass producing iron which means the landscape is littered in knives and swords.

Your only recourse is to sit, huddled together by the fire, and that is where they get you the worst.

They spawn as your children and turn you against each other. Because you, are a sucker for a stabbing.

Then when people get sick and tired of you stabbing children for all sorts of stupid excuses, they spread out again, to get away from you.

That's when they get picked off.

Over, and over, and over.

You can't keep the food supply up standing around not doing work. Work takes up space.

You can't keep the fire going, let alone 2 or three of them, when you aren't replanting trees for firewood. Otherwise you have to go farther and farther to get it, and that's when you get picked off.

If you value your life, you have to become paranoid of every stranger, and who wants to play like that? Not good people.

Not the kind of people Jason's ads attract.

Not the kind of people you turn away, with your hourly witch hunts.

And if you don't start them, they will, and there isn't shit you're going to do to stop them, any of you.
Whether you have a weapon, or not.

This shit spiral has been twisting downward since the moment people started abandoning their children for their own sake. Then people started selectively abandoning boys. All the while you have people like Twisted suiciding on players that wanted a chance to be good mothers, rather than accepting the hand he was dealt the very first life, as was Jason's intention for game. So you broke the good people down to the point they no longer wanted to play, and that's what the game has become.
Either you are breaking people down, getting them to not want to play, or you're being broken down.

And you will break.

The game is all about producing things from nothing, whether it be good relationships, or good products. If you value either of those things, (and of course you do, right? Otherwise why'd you buy the game?) well, they can both be taken away from you, by someone else. You can either be a good person to people, be an asshole, or be a loner and avoid the shit show, altogether. Or go play something else. Write an angry letter to Jason. He just loves knowing how his product make your lives miserable. Gives em a big old fuckin hard on. Even Ms. Rohrer will thank you for that!

Just when my town walls were starting to go ancient.

I'd love to get an early start on a new town but I'm tired.

Someone else should really try making 2x2 or 3x3 town walls in the corners. It's pretty easy, just make a small camp in the corner, enough to make adze, shovels and chisel whenever you need it. Gotta have an adze though, as well as an ax, need about 1 mallet for every 20-30 big hard rocks. Generally the trees you cut out of the way give enough butt logs for the mallets, but you might need to take down a few pines for some extra.

Scout out the corners and try to include oil and iron, bonus if you get all the wells dug and find a place with some other nice resources, clay and soil in particular. Swamp is at the opposite end of desert and tundra though, I honestly would even make too much of a farm to start, just get all the cactus and gooseberry bush locations memorized.

See ya in a few hours.

And now you have immortalized a killer as well, someone who took the easy route.

More stories like this will lead to more murderers, looking to be remembered for their crimes as opposed to their constructions.

Given the people tend to put crimes on the covers of magazines and newspapers, and all the attention that school shootings and mass murders get from news outlets like Fox, CNN and NBC, I don't blame you for feeling this is a tale to tell. I just want to point out the downside.

You want this to be a simple game of Clue? Who did it? Which member of the community cares the least. Everyone has two fingers to point, let's tally them up...

Or do you want this to be a game about caring for a family and building a civilization? A game that will attract people who want to do just that, or, who want to be the next Stephen Paddock, Brenton Tarrant or Seung-Hui Cho.

See what I did there?

We know who those people are now, but in the moment they were murdering people, to their victims, they were unknown. Just as we don't know who Gordy Real was, and we shouldn't give a fuck.

Pyramids aren't built by petty murderers.
The engineers and architects behind ALL of the worlds greatest civilizations, were not so much bloodthirsty as they were ink thirsty.

It doesn't take some notion of Justice, to raise either a child, or a city. It takes warm, strong arms, to wrap themselves around the products of the Earth and put them in their place, on the road to a brighter, more prosperous, future.

In a game of infinite reincarnation, what should matter most, are the products of tireless hands.

So how about we start telling stories of the Herculian Farmers, Engineers and really exceptional mothers, who don't just feed their children, but the land, the furnaces and the sheep, all, in one life?

I mean really, can we have some stories about the people who make dozens of piles of composted soil? Just once?
I'd LOVE, to read about those people, EVERY DAY.
That is no exaggeration, whoever you are, that makes dozens of piles of compost, YOU are my fucking HERO!
I see your work from time to time, and I think, damn, that A LOT of soil! I wish I could thank the person that did this.
Well, this is me, right now, thanking you. You tireless beast. You deserve a throne, of immortal living material, with a view of all the plants, and the animals, they feed. You're the REAL boss of this game.

Someone get THAT person's name. They deserve ALL the wikis about this game.

What are we on now? I've lost track. 5? 10? Does it matter? Is anyone keeping track?

Anyway, I figure it might be helpful if posts reference the Arc's number, or, some other distinction they might have, so that someone may find it easier to piece together history in the future.

Well, this is the monument for this Arc, if you can see it.

5yI5GzA.jpg

Fairly zoomed out at in this picture. Kinda sad, now that I think of it, I recall for months being against using mods, and, here I am now, casually sharing pictures 2/3 of which are Jason's unknown scribbles.

I also have another picture to share with you this post, that of a hero of the road, Mr. Jamesen Firestone, RIP good sir, for all your service on the road of the southeast quadrant. Fine work, you did.

sQayRzy.jpg

As for myself, I think I'm going to take things a little easier this arc. Actually got some real night sleep and my caffeine and adrenaline levels are down, and I think I'd like to keep them down for awhile. It's strange what 8 hours of sleep can do to a person, I don't know how you monkeys deal with it every 24 hours. Feels so... internally, heavy, boring, but solid, none-the-less. I could see finding peace in a restful life, but do I really want that.

I was awake and playing for the entire last arc. I threw down a few road sections in every quad but for most of my life I was working on a new idea, that I have to admit, I'm a little reluctant to share. But, being the good, forthcoming, nice, transparent and honest, person I am, I'll do so anyhow. Some of you spotted me working on it and many (like 2) of you even asked if it was me by name. You assumed I was working on a giant wall for a town, but that wasn't my plan.

My plan was to divide the map in half, either entirely, or with an area of undecided size in the center for people to peacefully meet. But, while I'm being honest, and let's be honest, shall we? it probably would have been a warzone near, the monument. But just because I'm being honest in assuming that, doesn't mean I don't think there is... hope* for you yet.

There are enough of you who still want to make things last longer than they ever have; be they families, towns or the arc itself, that I think we can do this if we work together, and by together, I mean, safely apart.

Let me get some pics up, you'll see what I mean.

Here is as far as I managed to get with The Wall

gNXXnIj.png

Here is what I had planned for most of that time.

XcxPbYK.png

With, or without, an open center for "negotiations".

ctYSFaX.png
(Far too much cut stone to reasonably haul to the center.)

Maybe something more like this.

6K4Kp9C.png

The plan was that I was going to push the walls closer and closer to the center, leaving only the stone floor at the base of the monument as a gap, and then allow the families on either side to put their own fences with gates near that gap, however they saw fit. But, I was responsible for two of the biggest mistakes with that plan.

1. I'd started a small camp in the south east at the beginning of the arc, which, without any intervention of my own, grew to fence town.

2. I myself expanded the fence of the town southwest of the center, towards the wall, after being born inside of it and finding the fenced in area too cramped. That was before I even started the wall and was just working on the roads. It lead to people who were inside and around the town, seeing the wall too early, and, since they saw a member of the Black family working on the wall, assumed it was some plot against their own family, and began mass producing picks to put holes in it, which they then filled with rows of soil to keep the wall from being rebuilt. I was reborn to the family near the center next life and tried to persuade them that the wall did not pose them any threat, but it was too late, their minds were made up, so I instead implored them to add gates where they had made holes, but it was shortly after that (in that life) that the Black family died out after succumbing to inner turmoil; no swords needed.

What else can I say?

You couldn't keep yourselves alive even if I completely separated you from any other threats.

So I am once again, trying to reason with you, as I have been for a year and a half, to stop treating each other so poorly.

I know it's easy, and brings you satisfaction, to insult people.
I know it's easy, and brings you satisfaction, to cause damage, to the works of those who have insulted you.

But I ask that you take the hard route, and be considerate; of the other person, before you speak or draw a weapon; of everyone else, that has and must continue, to exist, and work, so that players like yourself, can find yourself in a functioning home; but most of all, I ask, that you be considerate of your future self, who can look back on this moment in time and not regret, but be proud, of the change inside, that they experienced, when they stopped giving in, and you, started looking out.

At first you may not notice a difference. It won't feel right, to say you're sorry, or to be nice, but then, someone will do something nice for you, and you'll realize why it matters so much. And you'll notice people doing it more and more, until it dawns on you, that people have been doing this all along, and you'll feel, why it's so important. You might even become addicted to it. You were probably addicted to it before, but then another addiction, set you back.

It's hard to be good, not just not hateful, but actually, good. Most of the time there isn't an immediate payoff. You don't get a rush of adrenaline, or a wash of dopamine afterwards, instead what you get is a slow drip of oxytocin, that never stops. It's always there and it makes you care about things, you've probably never thought of caring about before. It's strange. Enough of it and there isn't anything you don't care for. Couple that feeling with a knowledge of the universe, and you get people like Carl Sagan, Richard Feynman or just about anyone you'll ever meet in the field of astronomy. But that's not to say anyone else can't feel it. I'm sure religious people feel it to some extent, though their end results vary, for lack of evidence for the existence of what their belief systems claim. But the existence of religion itself suggests that people have been feeling this good about things, for a long, long time. So good, they just had to make up reasons for feeling it.

The important thing though, is that you feel it.

I thought when I came to this game, that surely everyone, everyone who was convinced that this is the game for them, had that same feeling.
I'm willing to bet all of you do. Even you young men, at the point in your life where you feel as if you could rule the world, if only you played your cards right, from this point forward. It's a lot of work though. The way things are, it takes about 3 to 5 generations of planning and grooming to produce offspring capable of being the wealthiest, most influential or most powerful people on Earth, and if your parents aren't grooming you or your family for that role, chances are you and your kids, have absolutely no shot at it. No matter what "Dream" you buy into. So unless you want your great, great, grandchildren, and everyone in between, setting themselves up for that, what do you do?

Play One Hour One Life. Where you can be reborn, several times along that chain, to see, your great, great plans, come to fruition.

Then you get what you wanted, and it's all taken away.

There is a lesson in this, iteration, of the game, but there are still greater lessons, that the game has yet to effectively teach us. I'm sure Jason still has some things up his sleeve, at least, I hope* he hasn't hit the wall, just, yet. For our sake, I'm guessing he's recharging with his family, if not, working on another game altogether. Which, given how much he likes to brag about the number of "games" he's made, wouldn't surprise me. Yet he says he wants One Life, to be his greatest game, THE, greatest game. But what is he doing? Playing other games, with his kids, and losing sight, of all the things, he claimed he'd make this one.

Never let your roots dry, Jason. There still people playing this, and there can be millions more, if you just keep watering the soil, this tree can still grow. You have certainly planted it in a place with that potential, you just need, to keep, feeding it.

After playing Gravitation, I know how much you need your sons to be happy and productive. And yes, it is happiness, and yes, you do care. And I suspect your kids have given in to the current game market, and you have followed them, trying to make this game, something for them, if not to enjoy, then to remember. But please, save some of that love for the rest of us, who came here because this is NOT Fortnight, Overwatch or League of Legends. We came here, to be a family.

That shouldn't be the end, only the beginning.

*I despise that word as it suggests that people either have it, or, they are hopeless, which is just a terrible dichotomy for someone who strives to see things as they are, for what they are. Hope is a trap of a word, hijacked by dishonest, misguided and misleading people. It's used to soothe naive minds just when they begin to display a hint of skepticism or develop any sort of critique, on the way things appear to be working. You shouldn't fall for anything anyone that tells you to have hope, says, unless they're an honest asshole. Develop good judgement and execution skills for yourself; don't leave the future to hope. Not even New Hope, that'll just leave a bad taste in your mouth. Then they'll try to sell you Classic Hope with the original bullshit recipe. Never ends with those folks, trust me. wink

I care, because you do.

I am still thanked every arc when someone sees me with a horse cart full of flat rocks working on the arteries of map.

The road is just like anything else, it's not good or bad, it helps, everything, and everyone.

What I need to do is one project, or another, if I switch between making walled cities to build roads, the walls don't get complete. If I go from making laying out the entire road network, but not putting in every flat rock, then the roads aren't completed.

Either way, an unfinished product isn't as good as a finished one.

The walls and the roads seem to attract attention from different types of people. Only in the last arc did anyone attack me for making a wall, but that didn't have so much to do with it being a wall as it did me just being Black...

Ehbigep.png

My last big project did not see fruition, there just weren't enough people playing to maintain the last families long enough.

But I am learning from all of this, as we all, should be.

I was wrong to threaten the little village on the path, traffic would have done that on it's own, as, it did, when the owner, same as me, returned as another family, that wasn't the same as the one nearby, and had their kids killed by several people with bows and knives. I didn't want that to happen. Which is why I tried to reason with them, for several lives. I knew things would be difficult for them. I wanted them to have their peaceful life, but given the conditions we are forced to live under, which is not the game we were sold or paid to play, (Fuck you, Jason. Thank you very much.) the plans I have decided upon are the best I can imagine.

The diagonal roads save flat rocks and increase travel distance, over the vertical and horizontal ones.

The corner walled cities save on big hard rocks, so you either have to do less labor, or, you get more for the labor you are willing to put into them.

I just make tools.

It's up to you to learn to use them, and I know you will.

I'm not going to stand around with you in those towns, while you learn your lessons. I'm going outside, to make new ones.

You weren't there for the attempted negotiations, all you do is presume to know what went down because I said I killed a few people, and that, is all it was, a small fenced in area that one person was trying to get their kids to defend for no reason but that someone was asking them to relocate a few meters to the side.

I offered to help them, I made wells on the springs along the road, I made farms near those wells and hauled soil and seed to them, and what did they do with the tools I made to make those wells? They stole them and kept them behind a fence.

You see you presume all this shit and just come out calling me a griefer because I told you the end result of many lives worth of activity with, not so much many people as just one player who kept trying to raise kids in a fence that mostly didn't want to be there. I watched them die in their arms, they ran away as three year olds and didn't come back to be trapped in a little fence.

You have absolutely no fucking clue what is it you're talking about, 2 hours a week, so get fucked.
I play more hours in microsleep each week, than you do awake.

You can click on a coord to make it your 0,0 position and all other coords will be relative to it.

In your example, this would look like this:
E -6, -326
T 0, 0

So you would need to go 6 blocks to the left and 326 blocks down to get to the E coord

If I recall, you are hetuw? If so, thank you for this mod.
I really appreciate the work you've done on it, with the coordinates and the keyboard commands.

I've played this game so much with just the mouse I've had serious problems with my right wrist, and, using my left hand more and my right less has alleviated a lot of the pain, allowing me the comfort to play even more.

No, I wasn't one of the victims of your griefing murder-spree.   I play OHOL two lives a week at most, and my last few lives have been blessedly peaceful and fun.

Two hours a week, yeah, and all you do is parrot the word griefer like a little millennial snowflake, not knowing a thing about what truly transpired.

Sorry, but you are not worth the time of a thorough reply.

Tootles.

Am I the "you" in this?

The people making the weapons; the players of the game, who are doing the things referenced.

When making comments, replies, I often go from direct responses to general statements. I know it's not easy to tell when that transition occurs, especially since I don't say specifically "OK Lava, done addressing you, now I'd like to go on to talk to everyone playing in general..." but it's usually after the first paragraph after a quote.

I know there are still good players left; people who want the most good for the most people, and I know there are new players constantly picking up the game, testing it out, and picking up on the habits of the community as they do so.

I know I am also not the only person, who is here because I care.

I agree with substance of your rant, but it's head-shakey seeing it come from you.  You just pulled a pein this last week:

I went tyrant public service last life and killed a family in a little fence along the path for the road.

You literally just murdered a village because you wanted your road to go through where it sat, instead of you just building your stupid road around it.  I mean, seriously dude.  That's pretty petty pein of you.

Were you one of them?

I got iron into your town a lot of it. Sadly before that their was a famine which killed almost all the girls. Then someone put a stone wall blocking the only exit so even more girls outside died. The Town as of now is dead but I picked the blocked area and killed the person doing it. It will prob be repoped again.

Thanks Lava.

You know what really fucked up the town? The fence someone put around it while I was making the walls yesterday! They locked everyone into a little 2 well area and while I was going to check on them I noticed everyone dead, and the wells and the berries were dry.

Fences are absolutely annoying and a waste of time, people. If you're going to make them, at least fence in 4 springs and make them all wells so people can survive the transitions from shallow, to deep, to charcoal, kerosene and diesel, or, whatever the stages are. It always seems you guys that make engines are in such a hurry to tech up that you neglect your families, and in turn, they neglect the farms. Maybe we should just all slow down a little, chill out and stop rushing tech to the point where people can make iron swords as easily as they could make paper airplanes? Then you might get to enjoy revisiting the fruits of your labor for longer than 48 hours?

The more you neglect your children, the more they'll turn on you, the less you'll want to be with them.

Is that what you want? Kids you hate? because that's all the new players are coming into this game knowing; that's what's winning the fight here, neglect.

Even while I was working on those walls as women, I was caring for my kids. I had no fire to stand by, no one was baking me pies or food to "YUM" down on. I ate cactus fruit and gooseberries for like, 18 hours over the course of like 20 lives, half of which were as a woman, and I did my best every one of those lives to maximize work AND care.

--

I'm sorry, I shouldn't blame you. But I can't blame Jason either, he may have added the sword recipe to the game, but he's not the one crafting them (far as I know); you are.

We're not even fighting over resources anymore, I am seeing huge swathes of the map nearly untouched, now things are devolving to the point of murder for the sake of murder.

Please, stop. Stop allowing yourselves to go along with a few nutcases. Break down the swords when and where you find them. Prioritize maintaining peace  if it's ever broken. Everyone does not need a knife, it only leads to people killing each other for the stupidest of reasons. And trust me, they're all stupid. They always have been, they always will be. So what if someone is eating berries every 4 seconds while naked, guess what? Even if your whole family starves to death because if it you'll just be reborn elsewhere.

Jason wanted to make a game to show the value of life, to let people know life is precious, at least, thats what he told all the PR people he probably paid to interview him. And now we've gotten to the point where you should accept that it's not the lives in the game that are precious, but those of the people behind the computers that are. They are the people you should be caring for; they are the ones you are teaching, when you're like fucking pein was for the last year and a half, always making sure you had the first bow "i'm the one making the sheep pen therefore i should get the arrow oh and I'll just always keep it in my backpack", the first knife and killing other players for the most petty reasons.

Insecurity breeds insecurity. Learn your lesson and STOP.

And don't try and run away from people and live your life in a little sanctuary outside of town, that doesn't work, like that little village I slaughtered for the sake of a road. The people you are failing to reach in town, will just be born as your children, and if you;re not willing to teach them there, what makes you think they are going to learn to be better people in your tiny little fence? A little personal time with you? You had that time, in the town you were born, and you wasted it standing by a fucking fire, stuffing your fat fucking face with pie while not saying a word to your kid. Only teaching them that they should run and hide in tiny little areas like you, as if that's going to save any one from a reset.

And thats another thing, YOU CAN'T FUCKING WIN. Someone that died in a previous family, who was intent on killing yours, is just going to be born a child of yours, they're going to get permission and open your gate, or remove it entirely, and you're going to be fucked, REGARDLESS of what you do to stop it, so why not just live without the fences and the walls?

I, made the walls of the 2x3 and 4x4 because I realize YOU work a little harder when you think something is safe, but nothing is safe in this game from people who communicate outside of it. It only takes two people to wreck an entire town, one on the inside, misleading people, and one on the outside, leading a few others.

Why, do I even, bother?

Because I really do care. I do. I'm not roleplaying when I tell you I love you, I really do love you. I'm not some cock with a wife who plays video games to vent his frustration, someone who doesn't have any need for love because they got theirs, and I'm not some kid trying to make a name for himself on a scoreboard with a killstreak. I'm a retired astronomy teacher who's spent three quarters of his life looking elsewhere for the greatest stuff in the Universe, only to realize the best thing I'll ever know, is right here on Earth. It's you. That's why I love you so much I have to say it every chance I get. Before anything else, pulls us apart. In that moment, that I can say a four letter word, the only thing I can ever think to say is love.
(But before that it, it's usually TYMA, but that doesn't really count, it's three words, abbreviated. You know, it's for all the things you did for me... it doesn't count as a four letter word.)
What counts, is, LOVE.

Genetics are fine and all, but genetics alone didn't turn reptiles into mammals or apes into people, what brought us this far, REALLY, was, love.

And if we're to get any farther, we're really gonna have to step it up. If you're a young man, you might think this fairly unmanly, as you are bombarded by media telling you you should look up to badass fighters and people with big guns, but trust me, that's a bunch of bullshit concocted by people who either want your money, your service in their military and as much more out of you as they can get. They are exploiting primitive, vestigial, chemistry-

I have to go. I'm tired, and part of me doesn't even want to send this message, lucky for you a better part does.

Take this for what it's worth, to the future.
