You are telling me you're only just noticing this
A love story for the ages, beautiful. I have a tale of caution.
A crazy lady(the blonde one ofc) I grew up with wanted silly dating and marriage and because I almost never rp that kind of stuff I decided what the hell and played along! So this lead to the infamous tree dance and she actually had a baby right afterwards, for a second I thought that shit actually worked and she was like 'yeah I knew that would happen' wtf lmao. She was all kinds of rp crazy talking about babies out of wedlock, she was a dick to the kids, ordered me around and wanted another bby after awhile so we did the same thing, all clothes off lol. This time some kid stole her wooly sweater and my crazy wife popped out with her shank and started threatening them. I thought it was funny but ohhhh boy...
So we have another baby soon after (wtf voodoo magic I'm sure) and all is well. After I raise the bby to three, another kid from a different race fam I think comes running up to me and to the berries needing food ofc I fed them and clothed them and named them too after they said their ma ran away/didn't notice them. Kid is three and thanks me, then my wife runs over with /anger all over her face.
"I saw everything on zoom, how dare you!"
Oh shit! Wife accuses me of cheating with another woman, gets her knife out. I pretty much plead my case the first couple of minutes, still roleplaying along with it ...but then she curses me.
Holy crap.
Then she stabs me!At this point I just start cry laughing hysterically irl and can barely hold my shit together but I curse her back, saying that I regretted ever getting involved with her crazy married life roleplay shenanigans in the first place but my god I will always remember it.
Should have seen that coming lmfao.
Similar thing happened to me. Mum was roleplaying and trying to make me "marry" some other random girl. I never went with it but eventually, I was stabbed for "cheating" because I was helping somebody else process iron into steel.
Had Mum, the lady and her kids all saying I was a bad man. Nobody but working lady believed me, she healed me but I was shot again. The working lady was hunted and killed after my death.
This has helped me laugh though, so thanks!

it's because it's a group survival game. enduring because the game doesn't have more
I ask you all, what is a life without hope? What would your life be if you had an intense anticipation of death every minute of it? What would your life be like if you anticipated that those that you cared for you to soon die? What would your life be like if there was no hope for your family of having any sort of longevity? What would your life be like if you woke up every single day and believed that you would die tomorrow? What would your life be like if your houses were quickly razed to the ground by God or Nature? What would your life be like if you couldn't even hope that there exists some living being that you had a positive influence on who had a better life because of your efforts? What would your life be like if you couldn't have some positive influence on animals or humans now or in the future, which had good effects on later animals or humans?

At least lineages have a chance to survive, not for long, in a game about survival.
Deliberate bad faith. It is not nice.

How can there exist short lengths from the very start?
This is a game about the collective future of humanity trying to survive. But collectively, they are not able to do so. No lineage can last long. If eternity were a day, all lineages would exist a mere few seconds, and oftentimes less than a second. Where can hope for the future of humanity exist in all of this?

which fits Wikipedia's definition
Since it's been Necro'd, I gotta ask if this griefer is still active today.

Interesting, I mean sure if theirs a surplus I'll give them. I just don't like it when they hump clothes or beg when it's a poor town.
Well I mean, if it's just lying on the ground unused then ya of course you should equip your bb with it, if it's being worn or being saved for something in particular or the bb is telling you to craft it then time for kick the bb
Edit - plus moving over something and humping it is usually the most efficient way to communicate when you can only type a letter or two at a time
Idk, I guess i'm the only one. To me, it just seems like they are being needy.
I guess what really annoys me is if you jump out and run off. It's just that most babies who do that are doing it for gear. I'm not gonna chase if you because you saw a backpack in zoom out mode.
JasonY wrote:There a lot of annoying and weird people you can come across in-game.
Personally, beggers annoy me the most. Almost every baby expects to be clothed and it can get really annoying, especially if they jump out and run off to hump a BP they saw. A strange and also sometimes annoying thing people do is asking to be killed, Usually, they are baiting you to get cursed and killed. Today I had someone so sad that they threatened to grief if I didn't kill her.
So tell me, What's the most annoying or strange person you've found in-game?

They can be but you can earn their respect if you help out. They get pissed when a town lacks basic resources.
The best you can do is work on basics so they can work on the advanced stuff, Bring them wood, clay, and iron. The person doing the engine is important but they cannot do much without the people doing everything else.
Sounds like you need an Anti-Hero.
I might be wrong but bulk storage of liquid that can be stored sounds useful to me, although not essential I'd still use it if I understand things correctly.
Even so, I agree that any High-Tech item should be way better. Cars should succeed the horse, Glass bottles should succeed bowls where it makes sense etc.
I think stuff should get easier as you advance. A High-Tech town should be able to manufacture glass as previous generations could make clay bowls. Otherwise, it will be near impossible or even unviable to reach higher levels of tech. The entire point of the game.
You should have stabbed her yourself.
I'd just nerf all raw ingredients and make it so cooking is the only real way to survive, with the exception of wild foods.
It wouldn't be so hard to get an oven and start making berry and carrots pies only on, Plus omelets and cooked rabbits.
As I said in another current thread, anything regarding the cursing system that gives the individual more power to curse is apt for misuse and abuse. The solution to fix the system is to make the power of the community stronger, not the individual. 10 people all cursing 1 same player should have a multiplying effect. 1 curse should have the power of only 1, but each curse beyond that grows more powerful. By the time you have 10 curses, each one against you is over 50x stronger. The only way an individual's curse should get more powerful is if others also curse the same person you have cursed. That's how it should be.
Not running out of lives in itself isn't a problem to be solved. Griefers having less lives isn't really a fix for anything. I imagine a griefer doesn't have much need to use /DIE or suicide anyway. Very few go on murder sprees at young age, and even when they do and maybe are killed around age 20, they would still be regaining lives fast enough to not reach zero. I assume they aren't playing 24 hours a day that is.
Your final paragraph sounds like what you want is for the curse system to be turned into a griefers tool. No thanks.
As predicted.
Woops, My bad
I don't think anybody ever runs out of lives anymore, Curses also seem pretty shit. I've been cursed by an entire town for a well-deserved kill and simply respawned in a nearby village and ran back to loot my body.
So here's an idea, Life regen rate be based on genetic score. Curses will reduce your score, Getting a lot will tank your score. Lower life cap, Harder to regain lives.
Another idea people won't like. Curses cost lives but you can curse the same person. With good gene score, you can build up lives faster and use them to either respawn or stop griefers from playing. But if someone does it to you, Others can curse and kill them. They waste their lives and end up with a low score themselves.
Box has more storage but the table does not need ropes.

Thank you Jason.
