Can we have autocomplete function for names?
It would automatically complete a name when we press tab key after we write first letters of someone's name.
It would be nice if it also worked in the middle of sentences.
Let's say there is a John Snow. We could write to someone "HAVE YOU SEEN JO" then click tab key and it would automatically complete to "HAVE YOU SEEN JOHN SNOW" and we could continue writting.
I think it would be the best if it would autocomplete only names of people that we know (they were near us at least once this life) or we heard about them (someone near us mentioned a person that is living anywhere on the map)
Would it be cool?
I'm one of the "good" vet players that was sent to donkey town. It's because I have a hard time not going after griefers. Someone kills all the sheep...damn right I'm going to hunt that person until they are cursed and dead. But that makes me a target, that sheep killer is likely to curse me for hunting them down. The random person who didn't see the sheep killing only see me with a bloody knife and also curses me. Taht sheep killer probably had a baby that will also curse me and try to kill me because I'm trying to end their griefer mother. That's 3 curses for trying to save the town. I've gotten better though at getting towns people on my side and letting others initiate the attack so I don't get cursed as often now.
Good thing we have leaders now. Instead of dealing with the problem on your own it's better to just report it to the leader. Leaders can deal with problems like this much quicker and easier and are unlikely to get cursed if they are doing it right.
NOBODY, you are in "big friends" group in Bobo's discord channel, it's good to see that you have hard time trying to go outside of donkey town.
I joined that channel just to check who is there, I left it right after. It's a pathological place...
Also forgiveness system would be handy ("I FORGIVE YOU" or smth). It could encourage bad people to actually start being good, so people can forgive them, that's good I guess. And also sometimes we curse wrong people and we want to undo it.
People aren't perfect, otherwise we would have no ctrl+z shortcut. It's not a crafting mistake but a big decision not related with gameplay "I don't want to play with this person for an entire month". If we cursed someone and we want undo it because we actually want to play with them, we should be able to.
The problem would start if good people were sent to donkey town. I guess it doesn't happen, or happens very rarery, since people don't complain about it.
I think curse system works fine. At least for good people, I don't know how about bad ones because I'm not one of them. Hopefully it's hard for them to NOT spawn in dt.
Don't spend more time on it, please, not worth it IMO.
I've quit for some time too not long after race specializations were added, but I came back and the game is really enjoyable now.
A great town is a great looking one.
Everyone loves Jason,
all the nice comments and supportno jk everyone hates you, "good job" on the bugs jason
real super hero
Says Bobo's friend. I wouldn't be surprised if you are Toxic, the guy who got banned for account stealing.
People hate you and not Jason.
Alterior wrote:I had an eve camp with one bear cave extremely close. Like the campfire was practically outside the cave. A property fence without a gate works really well as a work around.
Actually just putting gates in front of the first tile works the best due to the auto inheritance function.
Waking up bears and killing them is probably faster and surely safer than making gates.
There's only one bear per cave.
This game looks very nice to me, why making it uglier with own sprites?
I doubt I will ever try them.
Good thing you aren't the developer Spoonwood, it would be a disaster.
Yes spoonwood, you repeated it milion times. Can't wait to see it repeated by you again in another topic.
Stop repeating the same stuff over and over again Spoonwood, please.
Great update Jason!
I really think this game is better than ever before, and race specializations that I hated before are pretty cool to me now, helping other families is fun.
I've been enjoying every single life lately, no boredom at all like it used to be very often in the past.
Keep up the good work!
Maybe if we could produce electricity through burning charcoal and make batteries...
Using kerosene on things like this would be a big waste of resources.
You should try it karltown, I really think this game is better than ever before. Of course for mod users, I don't know if it's that enjoyable for vanilla users.
I mean, except the griefing part, Bobo is effectively ruining this game.
You can write /fps in the game, if you have less fps than what you set that means you should lower it because slowmo is happening. You can lower it to just a little bit less of how much fps you have. Hopefully you don't have too little fps.
I have a very good pc and 144hz monitor, yet I had to set my fps to 50. This game is weird in this case.
Hopefully we will never go below 40 players on average, I like this game...
You speak a lot but you don't even play.
Really. To me this game is more interesting than ever before, I haven't had one boring life lately, which happened very often in old days. Even race restrictions aren't that bad after all, helping other families is fun.
I really don't know why players are quitting. Maybe it's a little bit too harash for newbies, but for pro players this game is really fun. Well, it's possibly that newbies quit so fast because playing with vanilla client sucks...
Also, finite wild berries is a great change and I really love it.
Not to bash you coco but your goodlooking effort on the cisterns says otherwise.
That's your opinion and you clearly came here only to bash me. I had no time to make it better looking then. Go back munching berries testo.
Why not plant berry, carrot next to pen and wheat next to kitchen? (Pen would be adjacent to kitchen). That solves most of the trouble.
Instead of being super practical I prefer to have a nice looking town, ideally with trees and other stuff that can make it look better.
Nice looking towns survive the longest.
Or make a small sign "sulfur pls" and walk with it to blacks.
We must use sign language before we can talk.
DestinyCall wrote:Spoonwood wrote:But will farmers walk near burning ovens or kilns? Not always at least.
All it would take is dying of heat stroke one time. Then you won't be walking anywhere.
No character dies from heat stroke.
Because we have no gloves.
I would add too your list clay bowls - towns are often lacking them, and it's good to have surplus of them. Clay plates are not that necessary if there is many of them in your town, but I usually take them too.
Iron and all steel items that can be contained in backpacks/baskets.
If I was the developer, I think I would make it that when server gets reset, it would save everyone's position and age and food bar etc., and then after the reset they would still be alive but they wouldn't lose hunger bar until they connect again. Those who don't connect again would eventually die due to old age. This would allow to just reconnect soon after the server reset and continue living.
As for the main reason why families die out... It's hard to tell, it may be another reason in every case. Maybe if people cared more about their last words, ideally telling how is it going in their town, it could be easier to tell what happened in each case.
I guess this is the town you are talking about:
Seems like blacks died out a few hours ago, I wonder what happened, but if you saying there is no engine that means it's likely that they got griefed.
Yeah, kinda sad that we can't claim the well without an engine. I'm not sure if we don't also need kerosene to claim it, if yes, that means this town most likely will remain dead.
