You're right.  It must be a goose egg.  If only Morti had a big steaming pile of sheep dung.

....

Morti - have you tried adding more softballs to the wellsite?  It looks like it needs more egg power to complete its transformation.

If you need even more, I found this pile of stones nearby.

https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com … SY400_.jpg

THE SIGNS CLEARLY STATE THEY ARE STONES not EGGS, Not MUSHROOMS and NOT SOFT BALLS, nor ping pong palls, nor table tennis balls, or any kind of balls for that matter...!

(I'm upset, imgur won't host anymore of my gifs. sad I still have dozens of pictures from the last 3 days, and imgur now, decided it's time to be stingy?
... I'm unhappy.)

I can’t tell from the video but if they’re stones they’ll look.. stoney. If they’re totally smooth they’ll be ping pong balls.
I also can’t tell how serious you’re being but I’m surprised you remembered my name.

But this is all I see!
Stone + Well Site = Well Site
RC3ykd6.jpg
And I've already put a stone on the dry pond for a well, then it wanted me to put a stone on the well site for a well site, and I did that...

I don't want to give up. Something is going on here and I have to figure it out.

All I have are two stones left, and the basket.

The pop-up sign says they are stones. (apparently)
Who are we, to argue with the signs?

The thing I don't get, though, is if
STONE + DRY POND = WELL SITE
and
STONE + WELL SITE = WELL SITE

What do I need to add to WELL SITE to make a WELL?

It just doesn't make sense.

I need your help figuring this out, Kar- ahem, Anna.

There certainly are some kinds of, rules, to this world... here I was beginning to think it was all a product of imagination, that could change, on a whim.
Maybe it's both.
Maybe the rules are temporary, until the whim, is ignited, and burns like the sun, inviting the rules to bend and grow, towards it.

Cogitosan, I uploaded a video of me finding some interesting mushrooms on September 18th of this year.
I think they were some type of slime mushroom; my guess is Suillus americanus it's a fresh upload, so the HD version isn't quite yet ready, but it's less than a minute in length, so, should be HD shortly.
Here ya go: https://youtu.be/mWn0lnFwdvI

Here are the mushrooms:

Not sure what kind they are, but my last guess was Suillus Americanus.
If anyone is into mycology and knows, please, by all means, let me know - maybe I can make a meal of them next year.

Now, about these, supposed, stones...

A well, I assume, but how am I supposed to turn this into a well when it's just a dry pond and a stone?

My vote is that they are deer eggs, since you found them in a woodsy area.   Keep them somewhere warm.  See what hatches.

This empty pond would make a great Deer Nest!

I'll try putting one of the objects in it, see what happens...

NBVz1lg.gif

Well, that was strange.

Just as I went to place the object in what I intended to be it's nest, something appeared in the lower right... it said

Stone
+ Dry Pond
= Well Site

Now what do I do?

weird things always happen to balls in the forest, I was with a friend once, and we say a weird bump in the ground like a baby hill and be kicked it and a   a lacrosse ball was under it, it was weird that a layer of dirt just formed around it usually, they just end up stuck in a gutter or in a rabbit den.

You gave me an idea!

Often times there are empty bottles in the woods, here in Michigan, which is strange. because to get a bottle of any carbonated beverage you usually have to pay an extra ten cents deposit, which you are then refunded when you take them back to the store. I think this habit (, law or tradition) was put in place to keep the state nice and clean, as dirty ground leads to dirty water, but, it's had the opposite effect on some people's mentality - they see throwing their empties as an act of kindness to poor people that might be willing to go around and pick them up.

That attitude has lead to loads of discarded bottles and cans littering the forests, highways and neighborhoods, where people just don't care to pick them up.

I'm going to look around for a bottle, maybe I can get some water out of this pond with one...

Woops.
Xig0W9g.jpg

Looks like there was just enough water to fill the bottle I found, but now the pond is empty.

KBzQg0t.jpg

And I have no idea what these lines are in the mud, but at least I have a bottle of water to drink!

This is a ping pong ball, this is a fancy one because it has a logo but most of them are plain white with no logo

They certainly do look like similar objects.

I see six in that photo, I'll see if I can find more...

Something odd - I can't manage to put another object in this basket!

byr1yUb.gif

So, I found a fourth object near this really shallow pond. Then when I tried to put it in the basket, it just wouldn't go in there.
I can't figure it out. All the other objects went in there just fine, so what gives?

I tried everything to make it fit in there - putting it in, being the only thing - and it just, would, not, go.

All this work is making me thirsty.

I don't know who this Forrest Gump is, but given I'm in a forest, maybe I'll meet them.

Oh, and I found another one of these objects, third time's the charm, isn't that what people say?

Maybe this is one of those, but painted?

Regardless of what it is, I found another one.

2T4Oh7g.gif

Maybe they are useful?

BTW, it didn't bounce when I dropped it near the basket, so I don't think it's a painted kids ball, but maybe the ground is too soft, you did notice there are a lot of leaves beneath them.

Die because the game was too hard, mother was incompetent, whatever?  Great.  Log back in at the end of One Hour.

I think the game would be savored by more players if the option to just start again right away was curtailed.

#217 Re: Main Forum » Let Destructive Players Win: Leave Town or Don't Play At All » 2020-11-15 21:51:05

I had a rewarding conversation with someone I can only guess is the player people refer to as Bobo, as, he was on Twitch watching and was clever enough to be persistent, at, what lure was it... I think he asked me if I wanted to go hunting boars and then 'accidently' shot me when we were 200 meters out of town or so, I think that was the tactic he used. I recognized and acknowledged it was probably a trap to get me to get far enough away from town that even if I were to run back and say he'd shot me, I might get a few seconds to make my case whereas he would have ample time to spam the word accident between filler words for his defense.
I went anyway and when he did shoot me, he spoke up on Twitch and I talked to him via my headset while he typed in game, and then in chat once I was dead.
I then returned to that town my next life and we met up and he invited me to his discord while discussing some of his tactics.
I didn't take him up on the offer, because, it was another discord invite, and, I don't use discord, but I appreciated the second life together.
We both forgave each other of our curses towards one another, mine was typed in haste, both immediately after the arrow and then at the start of the next life, when, while dead, I forgave him in my own mind.

I don't play this game because I want to enforce things on others, I play because I want to care and inspire them to care and inspire others.
I think I like the looks of those ripples a lot more than the alternatives.

It's a county jail, not prison, but from what those who spent time in prison have told me over the last five weeks, jail is even worse than prison, as there is far less for the inmates to actually do to better themselves or pass the time.

I still love you all and I'm sorry I haven't been a better member of the community over the years.

wait, why were you in jail, you seem so kind, oof

Suppose I could say I was defending my home?

But that I'd doubt that'd work as a defense in court.

I could link you to the police reports, evaluations by the probation officer or the prosecutions testimonies but they are both pretty one sided.

In both cases I was a little too aggressive when I should have talked more with the victims more than I did - that's all - before they became victims. =/
