#201 Re: Main Forum » Dealing with griefers » 2019-11-07 01:24:38

Pure blissfull ignorance. There is no drama when you dont care about it. Let the idiots war amongst themselfs.

Incase you really cant just ignore everything and go on hoeing then just  curse the first person to stabby stab around. Nothing lost, just one less annoying person around you.

Case 1
Curse griefer -->profit

Case 2

Curse "griefer" killer-->profit

People on look for "griefers" can be supper annoying. They have their narrow vision of how the game "has to be played" like and cant see the picture on some bigger problems. Come nag up to you and then stab. Actually hate these persons even more than the real killers.

Case 3

curse griefer kille-->shit happens life goes on.

Still 66,6% succes rate so statistically the most easiest and  viable solution with minimum effort.

Wow sounds nice.

Now maybe give also a boost to road building and we can actually see some insane stuff happen. Lets say you can make 5 tiles with one slab.

Making roads is really tedious job as  it is now.

All my grattitude towards the hard road workers that we have now. Give them some slack please. Roads have insane effect on how the game playes out:
-towns have structure
-things are more easily arranged
-points of interest can be highlighted
-encourages roaming and scavenging
-fast
-all in all overal looks

What a good road network allows is far more valuable  asset than keeping them super tedious to make.

Hate speech is speech that attacks a person or a group on the basis of protected attributes such as race, religion, ethnic origin, national origin, sex, disability, sexual orientation, or gender identity.

So base line code for ultimate tag for maximum trigger includes:
-nationality
-religion
-disability
-sexual orientation

"asian-buddist-lesbian-midget" is probably the least offending.

Imo not listening feed back would be just plain ingnorance. I bet the people who actually talk even in this thread have over 10000hours all together in this game. Which translates to over a year of constant playing. Ignoring that amount of experience is just devolving back wards to fish brain.

To be honest i'd love to see more of forums great suggestions get taken into closer look.

PS. add mosquito repellent REEEEEEEE

Getting offended by a geometrical pattern is non immersive and pathetic cry for attention.

Its just assembly of few tiles in 5x5 grid. There literally so many options to arrange them in a pattern that is not absolutely random jibberish.

Its one of the worlds most oldest symbols for a reason. Its shape is just playing around with 3x3 grid with rotation and multiplying.

Please dont bring your safe space to my territory. All this does is discourages roleplay and immersivenes in iconography.

LONG LIVE MUNCHERS

#209 Re: Main Forum » Another wacky food idea » 2019-11-06 14:31:58

Yap would affect nomading big time. This would encourage scavening wild in group, but at the moment roamin in group is terrible. People get disorganized and get serious food issues as theres twice the people consuming wild edibles.

Maybe make some sort of "pair map" for scavenging together. Paper-->red dye -->pair map. holding this and saying pair NAME would give you homemark/map kinda arrow to your partner. This way you'd be able to roam more free to scavenge and still meet up for some coordinated works.

Funniest thing in this is that the less you have babies the higher your score will be.

Just be a man and instant gain.

If you have the missfortune of being a woman never go high on yum and if extreme just wander naked.

Think there should be some extra bonus for having many kids survive.

#211 Re: Main Forum » Tool Tier List » 2019-10-29 18:29:18

Bow is deffinetly not that low on the list. You can get turkeys, get sheep/cow started for the village, defend from bear attacks, kill dangerous animals and get food n cloth for it (carnitas/ducks/wolf hat/mouflon hides). Also a tool to defend village. One bow can feed entire village in right hands with zero water needed.

#212 Re: Main Forum » Most common and annoying things that players do » 2019-10-28 14:33:42

The grave yards stones are always grieffed forge flats...

#213 Re: Main Forum » List of things that will be tools » 2019-10-26 05:35:41

Fire making as a tool thing is going to be terrible imo. Its hard enough to keep up the fire already cause ppl neglect it big time. Now in addition to that you have to learn bow drill and axe to keep it up...

These niche skills that are must have for town to prosper, but boring will end up doing much harm for the whole game play. No one will learn them cause they wanna learn some more "interesting" skill and you end up in a situatuon where the fires go out and you are forced to learn few tools just to keep the thing going on.

Instead of doing interesting things, building great walls and inventions you end up being forced to learn some random one time use tools like saw, steelfile, charcoalpen to keep the town going.

Bet theres gonna be big time RIOT and people will learn only how to use bow & arrow / knife.

Stack up the niche skill into some "handy man" catergory and you can maybe add a sharp stone in it.

#214 Re: Main Forum » Coming soon: Character skills (tools) » 2019-10-26 04:44:38

XD sharpstone nerfed! Well one tool slot less for to decide cause its a must.

Yeah bots that collect stones and iron or bots that make road are totally a possibilty.
But rn my main concern is a farming bot.
After that maybe some new stuff.

Then start at the bottom, first you need soil to do anything. So make a compost bot.

#216 Re: Main Forum » Useful Villager Flow Chart » 2019-10-11 16:19:32

XD water low-->grow milkweed-->tend sheep-->crow carrots--->grow wheat.

How is this gonna solve anything... The rope kinda helps as you can make buckets and carts to haul the water from elsewhere. Also you need few pieces of rope in the higher tier water wells.

If you dont know how to build the higher tech wells then what you should do is pick a shovel and go open a well in East/West/North/South of town(wells are in grid so just go to your empty well and walk in desired direction). Start to make a road towards it so people actually find it.

Gather round stones, make cistern and buckets. Go raid the nearest opened well or some ponds.

Also highly suggest on getting to know the higher water tech as not having water is the most common reason for towns to die out.
When water gets low the cycle of doom is really fast and towns wither in a lifetime of neglect to a point where you feel its not worth fixing.

Most people have this same mind set "someone else will do it". It creates enourmous burden for people who actually know how to do it. As you always have to be on the water hussle or you town starwes out. Instead of focusing to higher tech things like diesel pump and oil you find yourself opening new wells and hauling water for berry munchers.

Dibs for the soil cycle tho.

Water is life.

Welcome to the club, im the og

Literally best single variety food when looking at soil/water spendage. KRAUT FOR PEOPLE KRAUT FOR LIFE!

#219 Re: Main Forum » OHOL has become so boring & it makes me sad » 2019-10-06 16:46:48

One thing i do to counter this boredom is to grab a shovel and go few wells south/north. Start up a whole new setlement there with some little twist.

#221 Re: Main Forum » Curse system Flaw twins » 2019-10-01 11:27:18

predicted this in the earlier topic about this new curse system. One solution could be that you can only stack one curse a life. To prevent mass cursing, griefers are eventually getting area locked from rift if they continue their ways. This would bring some drama to the rift too as the curse punishment wouldnt be so harsh. Basically now you can get mass cursed out of the map for some ridiculous reasons. No room for error.

#222 Re: Main Forum » Can someone fill me in on the status of the game » 2019-09-28 14:53:00

End stages of the arc tend to get really nasty. People go nuts after theres 2 fams left. Literally go full "trust no one" mode. Suggest to scrap every knife and hide anything lethal.

Stab stab shoot shoot swigedi swing.

True, just a partial solution. Also sulfur is pretty scarse with deserts being so rare as a biome all in all.

#225 Re: Main Forum » Latest curse implementation (not live yet) » 2019-09-28 09:03:35

One fear that come to mind is that if you get 10+ griefer group and they start mass cursing people... Its still only 1 player cursed from map/hour(or whats the token rate), but would feel really bad to get hit by this individually. Maybe there should be some kinda limit on curses that one can achieve single life to prevent this.
